Cathedral Rock Park reviews
17 I frequent this park often during my downtime. Fairly large park with walking trails and a small playground at the cathedral Rock entrance.
4/5 stars as there's not much besides walking or biking when you're actually in the park. No water fountains, observation stations to see animals, or climbing spots that you might see at even larger parks
Nice park for a wide range of ages but I don't go to this park without another mom because there tends to be some people "hanging" around with no kids on the weekdays. It's only happened twice but that was enough for caution.
This has to be my favorite place to go walking! I love the trails and trees and just the great atmosphere throughout my walk. I always find myself back for nice good walk and at times bring the kiddos to play on the playground. Definitely this park is the place for families or just a little alone time.
This park has alot to offer. It's large and has a nice playground and lengthy trails. You can actually enjoy your time spent well.
Need to get exercise in this park was amazing trails that are made out of cement and not rocks where I could push my my fur babies wagon with me I needed to exercise I don't do much exercising but let me tell you walking up and down those Hills and even getting lost and ask him a couple with a baby girl.
That I was lost and I wanted to know the way back up to the parking lot and they directed me the to the right way up from the park trail I loved it but it was a little bit too much exercising but I will surely love to go back with my fur baby he loved it the only problem is that there is cedar in the air and my eyes and nose were running next time I'll take some tissue with me and water for my doggy oh I love very much we had just finished coming out of the veterinarian's office. From seeing his number one doctor at covenant care veterinarian down the street from this beautiful Park
My granddaughter had a birthday party here. Beautiful park, well kept and nice playground area. Only thing I didn't like was the porta potty.
Our family have a great time walking this trail which of had some more shaded spots, but I love how it’s inclusive with the trails but some spots need a little more work
This park has long beautiful paved trails. I love coming to walk and then heading to their playground. The playground is also nice. There is people riding bikes, walking dogs, and more. Would recommend if your in the area to check it out.
Great park with walking trails that connect to the Leon Creek Greenway Trail and soon to the Culebra Creek Greenway Trail.
Parking can be limited during high use periods.
This refers to only the under 5 play area. It's one steps up to a slide which is made of metal and not shaded. My son didn't want to go on it but was happier checking out the flowers on the trailhead
Beautiful small-ish city park with picturesque natural features (rock ravine, huge live oaks, etc. Easy walking paths, most areas ADA accessible. Great place to go for a daily walk if you’re nearby.
A lovely park built right at the ledge of the local escarpment landscape. There's a nice playground for kids, shorter looped trails for shorter walks, walking dogs, or running unpaved laps. For longer trips, you've got a great Greenway system paved trail, along with some unpaved trails available to go see some great rocks, and you can connect to the Leon Creek Greenway if you're running, biking, or commuting longer distances. Overall, just a high-quality smaller local park that I'm happy to have access to.
Amazing trail system, some paths are completely paved. Playground is whimsical and has so many places for kids to climb.
I love taking my son and nephew for off track fossil finds. My nephew looks forward staying the weekend for this experience.
Nice park. Concrete trails. Natural areas to venture off the concrete. I bet this place is extremely hot most of the year. Not nice enough to make the long drive there on a regular basis. Hopefully nearby residents utilize it often.
This is a beautiful place to walk, bike or skate. The trails are lovely and wind between trees and near a dry waterway that appears to flow strongly when it rains. The shade and sun is just the right mix. If you notice the waterway, it's always a bit different too, the current ever changing it. Absolutely beautiful. Occasionally, you may see small painted stones with inspirational messages or images placed throughout the park. They seem to come and go, likely placed by visitors but for me they add a bit of joy each time I see one, just knowing that there are positive people in the world. The little stones are not common, I've only seen three in as many visits, but that rarity adds to their beauty as well.
