Cavender's Boot City, Longview TX

Felt unwelcomed the girls and boys (not gone say ladies and gents not deserved) at the counter, we walked in and they just stared us down instead of welcoming us, we went in for our son a hat and boots. We found some boots, and as we where walking back up front, a nice black woman was the only nice one, she helped with boots and hats very great ful for her. As we returned to the front counter to check out my fiancé handed the blonde the items and a tag to the cowboy hat that my child had on his head. We paid, but had to wait to pay for boots, because the nice lady was getting them for us, the blonde at the front counter then ask to see the hat saying it’s a sensor in it and she needed to remove it I watched her the entire time she didn’t remove no sensor what she did was rescanned the hat to make sure it matched the tag my fiancé gave her, nobody was trying to steal, some of the employees there need more communication skills and stop acting so stuck up and rude, make people not want to shop at this location.

Really fun experience when you spend so much money here and then get an incredibly rude comment from an employee. My husband was looking for some miss me jeans in my size and he found quite a few. She walked up and asked if we needed any help and i told her no its okay my husband is grabbing the ones i want, she asked what size i need, so i told her and she said "oh yeah your not gonna find really any jeans THAT size here"

Incredibly rude. After that comment i decided to take MY business elsewhere. I don't want to give my hard earned money to a store full of employees who think body shaming is okay.

I see a lot of bad reviews on here about bad experiences with employees, cavenders i suggest you start looking into that or you are going to start losing plenty of business at this location.

Good place for FR clothing. Bought my last 2 pairs of composite toe boots here. Very helpful staff.

I went into the Longview Cavenders to purchase a pair of jeans. I found what I needed and went to checkout, that’s where everything went down the drain! Two girls were already talking when I walked up to the counter. One of them “told” me in a very rude condescending manner, “I get you right here”. While I was paying for my jeans, these two employees kept talking about personal things. Never once stopped. One of these girls told me how much my total was. After paying for my jeans one of these girls told me in, again the same rude condescending tone of voice, “Have a nice day”. She might as well have told me to go jump in a lake! Never making eye contact. I went outside and called the Mgr. When Crystal got on the ph I knew it would just get worse. I ask if she could step outside so I could inform her about the actions of the other employees. Crystal did step outside and I told her of the situation. She always got a very rude attitude and keep making excuses for the employees. I told her I had shopped this store many times and had never received this type of service! In this case lack there of service! I told her never mind, I’ll just return the jeans and contact the corporate customer service department. We walked in and both of the girls just looked at me, then looked away. As Crystal started my return, I ask for the two girls first names, so I could mention them when contacting corporate. Crystal told me that is private information and she couldn’t give me their names. I told her this was the most unprofessional customer service I’ve ever received at Cavender’s, she said in a not very convincing tone of voice, I’m sorry you aren’t satisfied, I told her it’s her job to train these employees. Crystal never once said, I’m sorry or we will talk with our employees in order to provide better training and support. She just proved to me she wanted me out of the store! I’ll never step foot back into the Longview store again!
If I could give them a 0 zero star, I would!
It’s saddening that employees nowadays don’t have customer service skills!

Absolutely not one person who worked there spoke to us. We were ignored for almost an hr. Having to find our own clothes amd clean out our own dressing rooms while they catered to everyone else in the store. I've spent tons of money here but never again.

I walked into the store at 5: 50 to buy a pair of dress boots, black jeans & dress shirt for a wedding. I asked an employee to help me get a box down, she kept walking. I went to the cashier & asked if she could call someone to help me. She did, I waited almost 20 minutes with no help. The store looks like a poorly run discount store with clothes & boots thrown all over the floor. I ended up at Dillard's. I found all 3 items & their customer service is unmatched.

It’s very clear the cashiers are not being held to any customer service standard. Rude would be an understatement.

The store is spacious and clean. You can buy not only stylish clothes, but also clothes in the style of workwear.

Unfortunately the blonde gal working today at 1pm or so was beyond rude & snotty! Probably won't go back

Love Cavenders! I could spend all day here. I even love the smell of the store. They have amazing western and country style fashions and functional outfitting too such as work boots and jeans.

Beside the fact that this place has much more than I could have even imagined I would want, there's a young lady there (she knows who she is ‍️) that totally spoke my highly advanced (and ridiculously independent) retail language - without doing much of anything other than pay attention to me and subtly steer me in MY desired direction, which is damn near impossible to do; I usually dodge salesmen and women like the plague, but, clearly, I was overwhelmed by the vast and beautiful collection of boots and hats. It's like I fumbled my focus and there she was to pick it back up.

Thank you for making that experience an enjoyable and human experience.

I'll be back, definitely.

Store has large selection of jeans and other clothing options. Staff was helpful in finding items.

I’ve purchased two pairs of work boots over the last couple of weeks, one for me and one for my son. Both times the staff was very helpful in educating us about the different style and features of their boots. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help in any way.

Great place to get anything western. Bought a couple pairs of boots on this visit. Great and friendly service.

Over priced, limited selection in plus size for women and ladies boots. We literally walk the entire store before someone offered help. In that class of store I expect more service than st Walmart

As a tourist here for the past 2 weeks I was obsessed with this place, best place I went too, for real leather accessories like hats, boots, wallets and belts, aswell as a large assortment of buckles and clothing.
