Cedar Chest Antique Mall reviews
10It was a really good antique mall with lots of different dealers. It is a very large space with lots of ups and downs so not the greatest for access but very doable. Very large place, plus the outside vendors on the weekend, so plan on several hours. The cafe is closed until, I think, after Thanksgiving.
I think we spent three hours checking out all the booths. There is a lot to see if you like vintage items. Bought two mid century Siamese cat figurines and a non-working German Black Forest cuckoo clock. My husband has already spent four hours working on the clock and is making decent progress. There were other items I wanted to purchase but did not take the truck on this trip. I really like this establishment and plan to return in the near future.
Typical ‘junktique’ mall with a mixture of old and new, lots of glassware, a lot of different booths.
I can’t go in here without spending a lot of money. I like this place! There is such a wide variety of antiques and vintage items. It’s really impressive with three very very large rooms. It takes me almost 2 hours to walk the entire store especially since I’m looking at every little nook and cranny.
Again, I just really like this place and if you go home empty-handed, it’s your own fault.
This is still the best antique mall in central Texas. They have 15,000 SF of treasures. Go early so you have time to peruse through all the great booths. Worth the drive from Dallas, Austin or Houston. I found some great side tables as a sample of their stock. So many great finds. Happy hunting.
Huge, excellent variety, good prices, friendly helpful staff that doesn't smother you, and most importantly; nice clean restrooms! Will be back.
Had a great time finding treasures! Love my vintage candy boxes to add to my display for Halloween!
This place is 32,000 Sq. Ft! It's amazingly huge! There is definitely something for everyone! They also have an outdoor vendor area that's open on the weekends. There's an in-house cafe that's open tues-sat until 3: 45 pm. We didn't have time to finish looking at everything, so we will be going back very soon! This place will be on a list of our favorite antique/vintage places to frequent!
Ha, friendly staff? More of a "follow those people cause they gonna steal. " I come to the area every year on vacation. We make it a point to visit this place ever since we found it, like 4-5 years ago. I think. Any way on this visit was very disturbing. To start, we were asked by one lady 3x if we needed help in the back area. After walking back up to the mid point, we had a toy & small bar of soap. Another taller lady approached us and asked if we wanted them to hold our item's. I said no thank you, I'm not sure about the toy and she likes smelling the soap. So after about another 20 mins she comes back and asks again. So I go ahead and say sure. So I handed the toy to her and she asked about the soap, AGAIN. I said naw she still smelling it. Walking up to the front, we decided to take a glass container we saw in the back. So as my grown kids start walking back, the taller one was right on them following. When they get to the booth. My daughter waited as another lady was showing her granddaughter something. Well, the worker asks my kids which one they went to get. After telling her, she says, " well let me take these items out. Y'all don't need them. " And carries the container up to the front. If I would've known that the same lady went to the side door to "check if it was open" while my daughter was choosing her soap. I would've said something. And if I would've known how that lady did my kids at the end, I would've left my items there. Real nice customer service, very welcoming, and judgmental _ ladies.
