4It's just a cool little out of the way spot to walk around, take a picnic and watch the geese and ducks swim around. Watch the geese though, they're kinda shady and will come up to you honking. It was a bit too cold for me to do anything but take a walk around the lakeside to the boat ramp and docks. A friend showed me this place today. I never knew this park was out here but I'll come back on warmer weather and try to see more of the area.
We love this place. Used to be kind of rough with lots of long term campers who were trashing the place but it's cleaned up now and we love it there.
This is a large area right by the lake and it's very pretty. But it's a pain having to walk about 200 yards to the restroom or drive over if it's night, no lights at all.
Good place to take the littles the water isnt that deep and during the day its warm
