Good park and well attended. Parking lot is pretty large but was mostly full when we arrived. The bathrooms are good. Plenty of trails to choose from. Parts of the trails were pretty challenging, steep but with steps to assist. Lots of people on the trails but didn’t feel crowded. Overall good place for hiking.

A beautiful piece of wild Texas inside the DFW metroplex. It can be crowded on weekends in the Summer, but Fall and Winter can be tranquil and beautiful in their own way.

One of the few places of nature left untouched. It's just an amazing experience. Walking through it is great and beautiful. A great place to relax and slow down for the day.

Nice trails and loads of wildlife to view at like birds and turtles. A lot of options to chose for a trail to walk on.

There are numerous trails to hike to get a good workout. I always take my dog with me, and often will spend the day there taking pictures and getting away! It's easy to get caught up in the beauty and forget there are freeways surrounding this wonderful patch of nature!

Totally amazing place to go soak up some nature and breathe fresh air. We got a good sweat going and a bit muddy (don't wear your good shoes) but that's all part of the enjoyment.

Great place to go hiking around DFW. There is so many different trails for everyone. Make sure to get there early as the parking lot does fill up pretty quick. There are great views as well. Definitely worth the drive out there.

This is easily in my Top 5 Hiking Areas in DFW. The preserves are amazing year-round and maintained primarily by volunteers and through donations. There are various levels of trail difficulty available in the preserve. Great for families, walking, hiking, and trail running. Leashed dogs are welcome. We go there many times throughout the year to go hiking and the grounds are always well taken care of. The recent heavy rains left several muddy patches, but trails that are too muddy are marked as closed, which shows me how much attention is paid to the preserve. It's an active area with lots of visitors, especially during holidays and New Years Day. Parking is adequate, even during busy days. Please remember to make a donation (or volunteer your time) while you are there!

Best place to get away on a hike or just to enjoy nature. Closest feel to being in the woods right outside the city you will get for Dallas. Been going here for years.
If you go, only thing you should keep in mind is that alot of visitors unfortunately blast their music on the hike or are very loud and disruptive of the peaceful nature enviornment. Not sure if they want to enjoy Nature why they feel the need to do this, but if you can get away from them it is a lovely experience.

Best preserve I've been to yet. It has residential entrance close to civilization. Oh but how quickly you forget you are in a city. My family has enjoyed for several years including my son hiking the trails since he was 2.

Had a great family hike with our two little ones. The cattail pond trail was very kid friendly. Will definitely be coming back here often.

Love this trail. It's all levels of difficulty from beginners to advanced. Also it's great that no bikes are allowed so you don't have to worry about bikers.

Variety of trails, in which you can choose the length and difficulty. The scenery is nice on the Cattail Pond Trail. Overall all the trails are safe and you can get a good workout in!

Awesome place to hike and get a great work out. Its not the hardest place to walk but it definitely will get your heart rate up. Its way more challenging than walking on a concrete trail. Ensure to bring shoe you that have grip and you don't mind getting dusty. If you have trouble climbing stairs this is not for you. You will go uphill as much as going downhill.

Great place to hike in DFW. Lots of different trails, well shaded and with actually elevation (which is tough to find in the metroplex)

Great place for bird watching and hiking. Land has been restored with native vegetation after being an illegal dump for many years. A great success story for North TX.
