Central Market, Dallas TX

Went to a taste testing free food event here. It was great & enjoyed the snacks. I ended up buying a few things but when i opened one of the cheese dips i bought it had mold in it. Im very disappointed.

This store is amazing, which was expected since it is brand new. Obviously it is Central Market so it is very expensive compared to other stores, but sometimes it is worth it. They also have some great deals on random items every day so if you don't have a set list of things you need, it can be a lot more affordable.
One disappointing thing was we bought some shrimp and salmon, and both were sub par, which is annoying when spending so much money, we expected a really good quality product.

Update: no longer eat many animal products so not sure about that. However we are moving soon and I am SO SAD to be losing the bulk section at Central Market. It is amazing. So many spices and grains.

What a GREAT grocery store, fresh seafood (LOVE the sign: 239 miles to Galveston…10 feet to Seafood) and meats, deli and such helpful staff! Love this store!

I loved the fact that this place had a lot of unique items that I don't see at regular grocery stores. I enjoyed my visit. I saw chocolates from other parts of the world. I will definitely be back.

Love the environment, fresh fruit, bulk goods everything is perfect, however why does this place have the absolute worst phone service in the dfw i cannot get reception inside the store maybe its the metal beams, i dont know what it is but keep it up central market

Great grocery store; great location, good size. In my opinion, it is great for meat, produce, baked goods, cold meats and other great food items.

An upscale grocer that is able to provide all the tastes in the world to your palette. It's more than just purchasing finer produce or better meats but it is almost like purchasing artistry. The way everything is presented is as if God selected those items himself.

Since they have added self checkout lanes, the shopping experience has improved even more than I thought it could.

Great store but unfortunately cashiers make the quality of the store low, attitude and the way they bag the groceries.they throw everything in bag together and so messy, who put cereal and sugar with wet frozen items? !

Went in to place a catering order… signs well placed say open til 430. It was 330. The “operations manager” tells me that they closed early because the people left. So I ask to speak to the store manager…this gape mouthed, cigarette smelling person tells me he’s it…. So I asked that he take my order… he tells me it is impossible…. For security reasons he can’t take my order because they need to take a credit card. I reply…don’t you take credit cards to buy, say oranges? He said it’s impossible. I said do you realize how stupid you sound and what poor customer service this is… and he just looks at me blankly. Last time HEB should be ashamed…

I love Central Market! Their produce is exceptionally fresh. The bakery is outstanding! It is by far the best grocery store in my area.

Amazing selection of products, with a good bit of local representation. I don't think I've ever been disappointed with anything I've purchased here. And the personnel are really a cut above. By far, my preferred store for groceries and such.

This was my first visit to Central Market from SoCal and was amazed at the selection and customer service. So many varieties of produce, meats and so much more. Our daughter lives in Dallas and we will return to Central Market on every visit.

Came here when I was in town last weekend. While I love California, this is one of the perks of Texas. I love the fresh produce every day and the fine cheese selection!

I wish they did more samples like they did pre-COVID haha.

Great health food store and not as pricy as you would think. Most things are sold in bulk again so you can measure what you need and go. Deli and cheese employees are very helpful. Did not need a full size block of cheese. Asked the cheese lady if she could narrow it down to just a quarter of the block. She did it no questions asked.

This place has everything, both in FW and Dallas, they are the two best grocery stores I've ever been to. I love the variety of mushrooms, fresh fish, and seasoned chickens they have. My only hope is that this food is all sustainably sourced as this store is quite Lush with its quantity

Honestly Central Market is the pinnacle in terms of overall consumer experience in comparison to Whole Foods and the other similarly stocked and organized / high end grocery markets of which many have popped up over the years. The high prices are completely reflected in both the quality of the products themselves and the overall experience, including the level of assistance in which employees provide as well as the immersive guided experience that the physical layout of the stores provides from start to finish. If there were any criticism it would be nice to see more mainstream brands, especially in regards to sodas such as canned coca cola, Pepsi, ginger ale, etc. I know this isnt necessarily the stores goal or purpose, but these drinks especially are much different than their mainstream brand name versions, enough so that I would make a second trip trip to Tom thumb just to get them. Other than that Central Market is wonderful place and I highly recommend if you have not tried it to at least give it a chance.
