The more you deal with doctors, the more you understand that so many of them just mail it in. They have no right to, but they do. We have been coming here with my son for many years, assuming we were under knowledgeable care. Now, he has a serious back condition that we actually had visited this place to get a diagnosis first. They did an X-ray saying that there was nothing wrong. We had to go to an orthopedic surgeon and ask for an MRI to determine that he has a serious condition that needs rest and PT and really should not have been participating in sports. Looking back, we actually visited them few years ago with the same complaint and they said there was nothing wrong. Now, doing the research on our own, it is apparent that the type of injury my son has is actually very typical in young athletes, especially those that play contact sports. But no matter how highly rated, and allegedly specializing in sports and spine, had no idea about this condition, or just didn't care enough to test. No matter how highly rated, or how nice, or how specialized they appear, do your own research and double and triple check everything. Certainly this place doesn't care enough to actually offer care.

They honestly make it pretty fun best part is having sort but fun to have conversation and they also get to give music recommendations and get to pick the music we listen to

The doctor we saw was very professional & kind & good at communicating with both me & my kid. Unfortunately he has since left the practice, and their admin staff - both in Cedar Park and Mueller - are really frustrating and rude. We stayed for 3 follow up appointments because the doctor was so great, but when we left I transferred to the Mueller location hoping to avoid the rude desk staff in Cedar Park.

I guess it must be company culture to treat patients like dirt. Our first appointment at the new location was apparently canceled without sending any email or text, like every other medical professional does. They did leave a voicemail, but it didn't mention my appointment being canceled, only that I need to call to schedule an appointment. Since my calendar already had an appointment with them, I assumed it was the old office calling because they didn't know I had transferred to the other location & I ignored it. That was it, one voicemail. When I showed up to the appointment 2 months later the desk girl informed me I had no appointment & that they had told me I needed to schedule. What they meant was I needed to Re-schedule. That detail was pretty important, She offered no hint of empathy or apology that we'd interrupted school & taken more than an hour out of our day to go to an appointment that wasn't (paying for parking too).

I've had enough of this practice's complete disregard for any basic bare-bones customer service, I'm looking for another Orthopedic Specialist, and I advise everyone else to as well. I'm sure a city as big as Austin has more than one option.

I have been so pleased with the excellent care we’ve received from CTPO. From initially seeing Dr. Gottschalk to physical therapy with Kevin McHorse it has been an extremely positive experience. It was especially great how connected Kevin is to the school districts. He knew all of my son’s coaches and trainers, making it so much easier. Thank you CTPO!

Dr Matt was amazing! They got us in fast and the office was great. Dr Matt and his team explained everything and were very friendly. We would definitely go back if we ever needed a pediatric ortho again!

We had a fantastic experience with Dr. Heydemann. He was everything we needed when are son severely broke his arm. He was calm, caring, and confident in what he needed to do. If you do see him bring him a fig bar
He likes figs!

Our experience was relatively quick, but overall positive! We liked Dr Heydeman, he explained everything slowly and calmly and very clear. We loved i think it was the resident who first looked at the broken foot of our kid (tall, with glasses). And the nurse was also amazing, very patient and helpful with providing us pointers how to use the boot.

Dr. Kauffman was wonderful to work with. His experience and understanding of my daughter’s condition were reassuring, helpful, and made me feel that we were in good hands. I especially appreciated how he spoke directly to my 12-year-old daughter and not just about her. He was engaging and professional and kind. Additionally, not only was Dr. Kauffman compassionate in response to our request for a second opinion, he went out of his way to connect us with a renown specialist for my daughter’s condition.

Brian is awesome!
I love the fact that he takes the time to get to know his Patients. This makes each PT session easier for my teenage Son to open up to. Thanks Brian for all that you do.

Caitlin is the best physical therapist we’ve ever seen. She’s incredibly thorough, interacts well with her patients and parents, and her love of what she does is apparent in her appointment times. She goes above and beyond to identify the issues and helps however she can. 10/10. Absolutely would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Lee was phenomenal. We are leaving the area and sure will miss her as my son’s PT. He has torticollis and Dr. Lee is kind, compassionate, and full of knowledge. I will forever appreciate her as we had such a wonderful experience.

We LOVE CTPO! In all the scooter falls and sports injuries over the years, every one has become less painful thanks to the TLC and expertise of the incredible doctors at CTPO. No matter the specialty or body part, we've never had anything less than a wonderful experience. We recently had a first experience with physical therapy at the practice following a knee injury in a basketball game. My daughter was sort of dreading PT, but Brian made it actually FUN, playing basketball with her and outlining a personalized regimen of targeted exercises - based in clear science - that are sure to reduce the likelihood of injury in future games. Thanks for all you do for the kids and teens of Austin!

Brian Kratz is my daughter’s physical therapist and he is doing a wonderful job with her. He knows how and when to push her to get results. He definitely has a lot of patience. I highly recommend him as a physical therapist.

Brian Kratz (PT, SCS, MPT) has been working with my son for a few months now, before and after ACL repair. My son had a new ACL repair procedure called the Bridge Enhanced ACL Restoration (BEAR). Brian has been fantastic in adapting his usual ACL rehab protocol to the unique needs of the BEAR repaired knee and has connected directly with the Miach team (creator of the BEAR implant and technique) to ensure the best outcome for my son. And he's very personable as well!
