Centro Studio Homes reviews
16The studio has a big problem with mold. Mold starts to grow all over the wall. The maintenance team only wipes them away whenever I put in the work order and it grew back a few weeks later. So I bought the mold control solution and did everything on my own and it has been 6 months the mold hasn't grow back yet. The entrance gate is super inconvenient for home deliveries. Water leaks from the floor. The parking is super dark. Sometimes there is no light at all for the whole building. Bugs, croaches, spiders also happen a lot and manager team said "it's normal because it's summer and everywhere has this issue".
I moved into Centro a year and a half ago. I am moving out now for a little bigger space, but it worked perfectly for what I used it for. Any maintenance issues were taken care of right away. I never had parking issues, internet worked great, staff was efficient, laundry was convenient, walls are incredibly thick. Would recommend to someone looking for a studio.
The girl at the front office is so sweet & knowledgeable. Truly a great experience and great customer service all around.
Nice studio apartments, small but homey. Open plan. Mostly newly renovated
Great community amenities. All bills, services included.
Small maintenance jobs done quickly, but not so for larger fixes (if done at all).
Sufficient parking

Moved into CSH at the end of 2020, was one of their first residents, and I have just recently moved out. So I wanted to give an honest review besides saying “this place sucks” to help anyone who is considering moving here. Moved to Austin at the end of 2020 for work. Just needed a small, affordable place, that was near central Austin, and CSH fit the bill. First couple of months were fine, but within a few months. I started to regret my decision slightly. Dumpsters were constantly overflowing and property started to become littered with trash. Gates to the property continually broke and took forever to get fixed. Tenants' cars were towed regularly for what seemed like no reason, just like mine was towed one night. Also the apartment complex is right down the street from a rough area of St. John. Gun shots can be heard several times a week, “interesting” individuals from the neighborhood would just walk right onto the property, weekly cop calls were also not uncommon. The property had also changed management at the start of 2022, and all these problems and more, just got worse. Even though rent went up, it seemed like they were giving keys to anyone with a pulse. A few people on my floor were hoarders, had cops called on them, were evicted, etc. So overall, these apartments aren’t worth what they are asking for and you can find way more bang for your buck in almost any other part of Austin. So besides Jessica at the front desk, not much about this place I can brag about after the last 2 years of staying here.
Orenzo is the most helpful person, I’ve ever met. He answered all the questions I had, he seems to be very knowledgeable.
I stayed at this location for 1 year, a very convenient place with access to 35,183 and 290. Great management. I never had any issue with the management or staff. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for studio.
SCAM ALERT! They took $200 from me & they were supposed to give back $150 if I was denied when they ran my application, I realized really quickly that I was not going to get any money back or an apt! I would also give a zero if possible! I didn't think it was even a real company until I read the horrible reviews!
My daughter lives here. Cute and nicely remodeled studios. Visitor parking is awful as you have to park way outside of the building and they still might tow you even if you park there!
I’ve had many issues while leasing here, especially regarding to toilet/plumbing and pests. I’ve seen baby cockroaches all over my walls, floors and even in my fridge. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even want to stay in my own apartment. You would think requesting pest control would help, but it’s just been getting worse. Furthermore, I’ve had a gnat problem AND black looking beetles problems for quite a while. Truly disheartening: (
Is this the worst apartment complex in Austin? Pretty close. Management deserves even less stars.
Management likes to tow your car, be rude and unhelpful about it. 0/10 would not recommend. Nothing works. Sean Shannon really helped make this the worst.
Only giving them stars for Jessica. Sort of clean gym but they won’t provide wipes to clean after yourself. Mold grows from poor air circulation, and the dog park sucks. But they are the WORST about answering the phone. Maintenance is rude and don’t expect anyone to be in the office to help you after lunch. Trash everywhere. I found a used tampon in the dog park. A year was way too long to stay.
Management is downright evil. You aren't getting near your money's worth. You'd be better off living in a storage unit
All they do is charge you more than 1k for a literal storage unit space. You can't even park your own registered car in because they WILL tow it, claiming they can't give you a parking permit for your OWN CAR.
