Chacho's, San Antonio TX

Years ago Cha-Chos wss my favorite go-to place for Tex-Mex food. I stopped going when the portions got smaller and the prices got bigger. A few days ago, I went to the drive thru and ordered barbacoa.uh-oh. Mistake. No tomatillo salsa and minimal cilantro and onion. But at least I got a good portion of grease.

Took 15-20 mins to get 5 simple tacos. They were seemingly minimally staffed at 7: 30 pm on a Monday night. Nice enough employees and the food was fine.

I am guessing they are making their money off of their drinks, because the food is sooo inexpensive. But it is great! I love their burritos - massive and delicious. Nachos are also great.

Love this place! Great costumer service, huge delicious portions, and prices aren’t bad. If you’re really hungry try the Kong nachos. All their tacos are great too.

Nachos are so good, so are the burritos. I recommend the carne asada burrito with beans and rice with all the vegetables added

Had a large family group arrived in town wanted to order takeout, called to ask what was on the mexican plate and deluxe mexican plate, lady that answered the phone said she did not know and she would not go ask. She said to look online. I explained I was online looking at the menu and it has NO description of what is included. VERY disappointed in the total lack of customer service. Went to Los Palapas instead with our $100+ order

The food is good but the way they handle receiving the food is chaotic you can't hear them when they call out your name they definitely need an intercom system and cleaner place around the drink area

Staff isn't very friendly, did not listen to our order and missed a few items we asked for. They never put any salsa in the bags even though we've asked for it twice everytime. The food is stale or reheated and isn't fresh tasting. Very disappointed I used to love cha chos for their drinks and food. Mama Margie's has really surpassed cha chos in alot of ways. Probably won't ever return here again.

It's been a minute since I have been here, and they never disappoint. I went with my old favorite, beans and cheese Nachos, and I had the chicken, Taco Norteno, man that taco is Great. It's a huge taco with grilled chicken, beans and avocado, on a crispy flour tortilla with melted monterrey jack, sooo good. I have had some great food and Great memories here, keep up the great job. Oh, by the way, they only have drive thru open, so just remember it takes time for fresh food to be cooked. Please don't be inpatient or rude, it's worth the wait, my 2 cents.

Great employees make the business successful.
I came through the drive thru & didn't quite understand, SANDRA, this amazing lady comes out PERSONALLY to take the time to show me a better deal so I get more food for my dollar. WOW! Now that's customer service. I'm not easily impressed very often but she impressed me with her kindness & so eager to make her job performance the best. Thank you, for loving your job. She can be a role model to many now a days. She made my day all around. Put me in a good mood!

Styrofoam was melted, enchilada was hard, chips were either stale or too much grease. Not crunchy. Taco was good, salsa excellent.

Hope you like your food prepared with bacteria. In the drive-thru could see through the window and workers prepare food WITHOUT gloves! Report to FDA!

Service is slow.
They never put any salsa in with your order even if you request it.
The margaritas are very small and not as great as they used to be about 10 yrs ago.
Mama Margie's is MUCH better than cha chos and they hook it up! With free chips and salsa and HUGE margaritas in the drive through.

My go to restaurant when I visit San Antonio. Always a fun place. I just wish they'd open up the dinning room so I can get back to that fun.

When is this restaurant going to open up their dining room? Take out food is soggy by the time you get home to eat it. Would prefer to eat it in house.

While I have not eaten here, I often pick up food for my friend and her family. They are the sweetest people I've ever met in a Drive-Thru. They have never gotten an order wrong and the portions are huge and despite the long lines and the drive-thru they are very efficient and it moves quickly. I've heard nothing but good things about this place and it's food.
