Chameli Restaurant reviews
18 I have tried the following items from them and my review for those items:
Beef Tehari - tried 2 times. Taste is good. It was too oily once, may be they were running out and I got from the bottom.
Morog polao - Tasted like actual morog polao we find in Bangladesh. I'll buy it again.
Chicken roast - Tasted good. I'll buy again.
Dhaka kachchi - disgrace to the name. Neither taste nor smell was anywhere near kachchi biriyani.
The food was really good here. I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The flavors are all nice! The amount of meat you get in the chicken tikka masala wasn't very much and parts of the chicken tandoori was dry but like I said, the flavor was all there! You get plenty of rice (which is flavored amazingly) and the naan is huge (and fluffy/tasty). The chicken karahi was very good! I will definitely be coming back!
Food was pretty good, and the prices are decent. I ordered online, and they forgot my chai that I ordered. But other than that, will order again.
What the heck? I ordered through Uber eats for pick up, the order was accepted by the restaurant and it is closed!
Loves the spice in the food and sauces! Ordered chicken tikka masala and loved the saute of the chicken and the SPICE was just right
Had their signature lamb biriyani. Really good and great flavor. Good service. Will definitely be back.
Goat karahi was great too! They have their own flavor and tastes different than other Indian restaurants. Clean place and great service.
We had chicken roast, chicken biriyani and Kacha golla. The roast was pretty good. But the chicken biriyani wasn't really chicken biriyani; the taste wasn't bad, but it was not biriyani. The color is yellow like khichuri, not a khichuri either. The price for chicken biriyani was only around $7 for enough food. Anyways, the food was pretty good overall. Roast should come with more rice.
The stuff we're very nice. We liked the place and go more often to taste Bangladeshi food.
They sale authentic Kacchi biriyani, which is full of goat smell. Mango lassi tasted old. Requested owner attention regarding the kacchi, didn’t show a courtesy visit while we were in the restaurant. Not recommended.
Delicious and authentic. The pomfrets curry was incredible as was the house special biryani
The biryani here is probably the best in the Dallas area. Every time I’ve gone I have received fast service with great food. The restaurant interior is clean and elegant. Would recommend 10/10
I have been eating at Chameli's for about 12 years now, and they have wonderful food. My favorite thing on the menu is butter chicken with rice or naan. They also have amazing boneless chicken biryani and delicious vegetables. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Try them!
From the friendly staff to the delicious food offerings, Chameli is my go to spot for great food and fun. I love this restaurant and I bring everyone to try their food and to indulge in the atmosphere.
Amazing biryani with reasonable price. Definitely recommended if you're looking for Bangladeshi taste.
I was so disappointed to be honest. I took Chameli Biriyani, it was not tasty at all. Also took beef rezala, that was average. Just wasted my money and also they even charge for drinking water, no courtesy at all. Will not recommend anyone for sure
This is one of my favorite places to eat authentic Bangladeshi food. They have pretty much every Bangladeshi food item you can think of and it gets no closer to the genuine taste. We tried chicken biryani, sikh kabab, mango lassi, and chai. Everything tasted delicious. Definitely worth the visit. Really wish they had a branch down in the Fort Worth area!
I ordered garlic naan it’s so soft and tasty. And we ordered bhoona dhaal with pulao and egg curry with rice
Really good food. But customer experience is poor, needs to be improved significantly.
Examples:
1) We ordered biriyanis and were expecting raitha on the side. Then realized we needed to buy raitha separately after the food was served.
2) Tea was good, but was self serve in styrofoam cups. Proper tea cups would be good.
3) We had to buy water bottles separately. Having a jug of water and cups on table would be better for customer experience would be good.
4) Bathroom hand dryer was not working in men's bathroom.
We stumbled across this restaurant and it was such a nice experience. The portions were great and the service was excellent. I didn’t know what to order but they had an online menu (QR code) with pictures to help navigate those who don’t understand this type of cuisine. Support small businesses!
