Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen reviews
26Love the food here and I get good friendly waiters. Haven't been disappointed yet. Oh and the drinks are REEEAALLY good
This is the better Cheddar's I've been too (Only been to 2 of them). Had a good time here food was pretty good and came out pretty quickly. Ribs were a bit dry but still decent. Waiter was nice and helpful, though forgetful about things. Not to die for, but satisfactory if your favorite restaurant is packed or you want a fair casual dining experience.
Mediocre service; bad quality food. It's a shame too, cause we really liked this location. I guess everybody has an off night
They turned us away because we are a large family. Took the people after us but because I have 5 kids they wouldn’t accommodate us even though, they were not closing. 9: 07 as I am writing this.
The wait was over an hour long but the waiter was nice and friendly. The food was great. They ran out of some items we ordered but he replaced them with a plate of different sides to make up for it.
First time back since covid begain. Was very disappointed, ordered the ribs and shrimp with corn, green beans. The ribs were dry! Not juicy and tender like before! The grilled shrimp was delicious as were the corn and green beans! Those ribs sucked!
My first visit was with family. My family enjoys Cheddars; we are looking forward to coming back
I ordered the steak. It was a promo. This is not ther restaurant for steak even if it is ther primo. Go for the chicken pot pie or ther chicken fried steak - much better choices. Had to ask for napkins and flatware. BTW their idea of loaded naked potato is sour cream butter substitute and cheddar cheese.
It might be the items I ordered just weren't my cup of tea. The quality was there. The service was good. I want to go back and eat next time while I am hungry as the portions are quite big. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was pleasant.
Order came out in 2 parts, finished half before brocolli came out. Shrimp was cold and over cooked - rubbery. Waiter overcharged and took a long time to adjust ticket.
In an industry where service is everything, the Interstate10 location has fallen short in many occasions. I only frequent Cheddats when my mother comes to visit because for some reason she loves it. Although I go begrudgingly and despite my bias I have seen little to know improvement at this location.
Food was good. But hostess had an attitude problem I had been waiting there for over an hour when she told me that it was going to be an hour wait. My husband went and asked how long it was going to be and she told him another 2 hours and then she called us right after
Food is always very good no matter what location you eat at. Menu options are diverse and one can't go wrong whatever you pick. Cocktail drinks are a real plus.
All this and more at a very affordable $price = a best value with very few peers. A big regret is that I associated the name Cheddars with having heavy a deep fat fryer type of menu.like Pluckers or something. To think that I could have been eating at Cheddar's at least a couple of years sooner.
Food and service good but the acoustics make it difficult to carry on a conversation. Fruit flies were hovering around our food.
The good:
Honey butter Croissants, they blew me away
Philly cheese steak, one of the best in SA
Chicken fried steak, very tasty
The okay:
Mac and cheese - it was simply okay today
Chicken Alfredo - was told it was just okay
The bad:
Why oh why didn't I order more croissants? They are the stuff of dreams!
Overall: can't wait to go back here!
Cheddars in San Antonio, food was cold. They did replace it. But the wife was disapointed by the time it was done. She was really hungry only to get cold food. Server was awesome. Not her fault
The food was really good however our wait time was 45 minutes to get a table once we got our table it was another 35 minutes to order then once we ordered it was another 35 minutes to be served our server never came to refill drinks or clear the table once we're done with a meal. My recommendations do not go during lunch rush hour.
Food was good, I asked for a to go unsweet tea and the waiter gave me a to go cup with no lid, said they was out
Its good not bad on price too the only thing i didn't like was the rice not saying it didn't come out right it was perfectly cooked but for flavor is what i mean.its a bit like plane white rice i could be wrong they might have other varieties if so then no complaints from me
GREAT food & service, very good staff, the food comes out in a VERY decent amount of time, I'VE never had to wait more than 15-20min for a table. I would highly recommend thie place to anyone!
