My kid has been in the Children's garden Montessori Academy in the toddler room since September. We are very happy that we found this school. My child is very sensitive and needed a lot of reassurance. The teachers and administrators made him feel so welcomed. He is very happy here and looks forward to going there every day. We just changed from 3 days to 5 days. They offer a lot of flexibility. Tuition is truly affordable. We highly recommend the school for any parents who are searching for a family friendly school.

My children have been attending Montessori academy since they were infants. They are in primary classrooms now. We are very happy with the school especially how they are handling the COVID situation. Visitors are not allowed inside at any time and teachers wear masks. We enjoyed the parent support sessions on important topics like safety protocols, emotional support to children in pandemic, potty training and positive discipline. The school team is on top of everything. The teachers are awesome from infant to primary classes, we love them all! We get photos of our children everyday! Administration is very transparent in school policies. We know this because we have been in the school for 4 years now. We highly recommend CGMA to parents.

The management would just overcharge. Please be aware and request to find a decent school if you are looking in the area

Best school. Our kids attended in infant program and primary program. They were very happy and looks forward to go to school every day. The school is very clean and follows strict covid steps. We always received good communication from the school office by text and emails. Classrooms have plenty of material and they have indoor gym for rainy days. We loved our children's teachers. They take very special care and very flexible. Our 5 year old is at first grade level and all the credit goes to his teachers. Ms Athi is the director and very experienced in Montessori method. She always takes time to explain us well when we have questions. We highly recommend cgma for parents.

Our kindergartener and toddler have been going to CGMA for the past 6 months. We started with three days and then added two more. We have seen so much growth in both of them after switching from a 3 day program to a 5 day. It really makes a difference! We are impressed with all the knowledge our Kindergartener has! Our toddler is also doing wonderful potty training! We truly found an awesome place for our children to learn, socialize and grow! Teachers and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We love CGMA!

Facility is very good. They do not have standard curriculum, goals or achievements. Teachers are not up to the standards. Parents cannot communicate with teachers.

“Dear Administrators and Teachers as a representation of my sincere appreciation to you for your devotion, inspiration and faithfulness to our children’s development as well as to us as their parents. Our children have developed and achieved so much due to their involvement in your establishment and the dedication to remain steadfast to the Montessori way. They love and adore the teachers and going to school every morning is a real treat for them, as it is for us when we witness the obvious positive influences in their developing minds and hearts.
Your obvious determination and dedication is so evident when a person such as I have had the opportunity to watch from outside in for four years now. Please accept this as a simple, tangible and heartfelt method of saying “Thank you. ” As my girls grow beyond the scope of your school’s environment and make their way through the often scary, overwhelming and bureaucratic levels of education, we as parents can always rest at least knowing that their most formative years were spent in a nurturing and heightening arena of their self-worth, both at home and at their school environments.
Heartfelt thanks & Happy 10th Anniversary”.

Our experience has been a very positive one with 3 children, 2 of which started in their infant room. We love the infant room, we find the teachers to be very caring and always go above and beyond to make sure all your needs and the children's needs are meet. Our children always come home clean, especially the infant room, which amazes me how they managed that. I highly recommend this school and their staff.

Our son goes to CGMA and he just enjoys this school. CGMA is providing unyielding support and excellent teaching skills with perseverance to keep our son on the edge and making him a good student today. They have created a very good cohesive environment for kids and our child has really enjoyed being in CGMA. They are really an asset to Plano/Frisco communities and especially the director; she puts in outstanding efforts in managing CGMA…. We strongly recommend this school to parents.

Extensive violations by the state of Texas! They have more violations than any other school in the area. Ridiculous! A lot of the violations are rated as "high". I'll give any school a couple of violations especially if they are minor. I wouldn't leave my kid there!

My daughter (2yrs old) has been with the school for 6 months. The school building is nice compared few other school we visited. It is much roomier and bright inside.

My daughter's teacher was pretty good and had understanding of how to handle kids. But she left in summer and since then all the teachers around were mediocre. Our child got once bit by another kid on her cheek and the teacher didn't even notice fast enough to stop them. It's been now four months and my kid still have a mark on her cheek.

When I complained to Ms Athirai (Owner), she was very cold in her response. There was not assertion on their part on how they were going to resolve this issue. I just hope the bite marks on my daughters cheeks fade away soon.

During spring, my daughter had allergic cold. So she used to have runny nose and Dr recommended us giving her Zyrtec. We mentioned this to her new teachers that it is allergic cold and she is on medicine and gave them the note from Pediatrician. But every evening when we used to pickup my daughter, the teacher used to make a face and complain about her runny nose. We felt the neglected and not welcomed in the school. Luckily it lasted one month and her cold disappeared.

The teacher student ratio was 1: 8 for kids under 2. But that's probably based on Texas State requirement.

Also they have 30 day policy for parents to inform school if they wish to discontinue sending their kids to school. In my case, I gave the tuition to the school on 30th. The school deposited the check on 1st and I informed the school on 1st evening our intent of non sending my daughter. It was 31 days month. But when I met Ms Athirai, she was just greedy enough to not repay us the tution.

It has been a horrible experience for us. I would suggest other parents to look for school where teachers care for kids.

I wonder if the other positive reviews posted on this website are from the school owners themselves. Even the youtube videos are posted by the owners. They would never approach us to record our review and post it online.

We enrolled our daughter Emma at the Children’s Garden Montessori Academy in Plano, TX a year ago and are so very pleased with her development thus far. She is thriving and most importantly, loves the school and the teachers. We like to observe how the Montessori Method enables the well-trained and caring teachers to give our daughter a variety of individual lessons throughout the day, all of which are taught with carefully prepared Montessori materials. But most of all, we love the ways in which Children’s Garden Montessori Academy implements the Montessori philosophy of a well-rounded education that teaches our daughter grace and courtesy, how to care for her environment, and a wide range of practical life skills that are helping her develop independence and self-confidence. Let me emphasize that Children’s Garden Montessori Academy provides Montessori education and follows classic curriculum and method. This means that, as a parent, you need to be clear about what Montessori education is and is not, level-set your expectations accordingly, and make an informed decision about whether it is right for your child and your family. Understand the exact sense of structure unique to a Montessori classroom, and familiarize yourself with the Montessori principles and concept of a work cycle. While Montessori students are taught to be involved in self-selected work, bear in mind that teaching a child to choose what to do is not the same as letting him or her do whatever they want. If you consider a Montessori education for your child, I highly recommend Children’s Garden Montessori Academy in Plano wholeheartedly. For us, it strikes just the right balance of a structured and supportive environment that fosters academic preparation along with independent learning and intrinsic motivation.
We, parents, are always welcome to visit the school and join in various activities, and the community of parents is excellent and we have formed strong friendships thanks to the school. In addition, the Director has been very caring, highly attentive, responsive, willing to address our concerns, and happy to share with us her vast knowledge and experience. We are fortunate to be part of Children’s Garden Montessori Academy in Plano. Finally, I am lucky that my daughter is surrounded by such caring and devoted teachers in her Butterflies class like her lead teacher Mrs. Lavanya Gogiheni and her Assistant Mrs. Domonique who LOVE what they do and love their students.

Look nowhere. Our three children attended the school. My older son is in public school now and his teachers are amazed with his advanced knowledge and social skills. CGMA provided good foundation for him. Two children are still attending the school and we love it. My children want to go to school in the weekends too. Teachers are amazing. Great administration and good programs. We love the facility- always clean and neat. They have special programs like spelling club, readers to leaders, science fair, Spanish and Chinese with out additional charge. Now they have opened another location in Frisco too. We strongly recommend the school for parents.
