Children's Lighthouse of Richmond - Harvest Green

Worst daycare. My son went here for a month, and when needed, couldn’t get a hold of the owner because the director said, “she’s not hands on” and when I tried to have an In person conversation, she stated “this is a mute conversation”.

I am an extremely picky Mom (and they will confirm:) ) so I waited almost a year before posting this review. And it’s now safe to say it’s the best daycare in the neighborhood and with a fair pricing. I personally like the fact that parents are allowed to monitor their kids through the app provided with their indoor cameras. It helps a lot if you’re a first-timer and you’re nervous about your little one. Teachers there are overall great and nice however they have a huge turn-over in the toddler rooms (can’t speak for the bigger kids). So be prepared to reassess things a few times with new teachers but one thing is whatever concern or issue you may have if you communicate with them, the principal Ms Shannon, her assistant Ms Mo, personnel Ms Britney and the teachers of each room are always making sure they are addressed. And for that I give them a 5 stars off top!
I also appreciate the fact that they create a very family-friendly atmosphere with the children and the parents, all the teachers and personnel know the name of your kid and they always greet you. You will also be encouraged by the staff to be involved in the “life” of the school, we for instance participated to the trunk or treat for Halloween and it’s a lot of fun. They’re good at creating fun happenings for the kids.
If I had to do it all over again, I’d definitely pick them again among all the daycares in the neighborhood.

We are so excited and loving the development from our sweet girl. She LOVES going to school. Thank you all so much for the updates, communication, pictures and loving our baby like we do!

I have had a great experience here at Lighthouse. I get notified if anything happens with my kids and the communication is great.

My son started Children's Lighthouse when he was 4 and my daughter started when she was 3. They have both had the most nurturing, loving and caring teachers. The curriculum really sets them apart from what we have had our children apart of up till then.

Not only do they have a great team of teachers. They are also a great support from the the wonderful women who work in the office to the teachers in the rooms. They have walked through good times and hard times with our family. And every step of the way it felt like home. They showed us love and support that we all would hope for during all seasons of life.

Our son and daughter are in Kindergarten and 1 st grade now. And we continue to see the blessings that Children's Lighthouse has poured into our children. They are thriving so well in this stage of life with there built up knowledge of what they have learned hear and has helped them to prosper so much more because of it.

Thank you Children's Lighthouse for being our home and safe place for our kids to be at. And to all the amazing office staff and teachers for making it feel that way.

REMAINS THE SAME: EVERYONE IS AWESOME! Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. It’s wonderful seeing our granddaughters get excited about going to daycare here. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way. Children lighthouse HG is an amazing place! Very clean with great staff and very welcoming. Our girls have been going since the daycare opened.

Shannon and MO are absolutely incredible management. I can't say enough about Ms. Brittany (wind beneath my wings) I highly recommend sending your children to their child care Center.

I have two children at Childrens Lighthouse Harvest Green and we are so pleased with the program. My kids are in the Pre K and 12-18 month classes. We receive pictures almost daily of them completing art projects or curriculum worksheets through the app. We love the cameras if feeling the need to check on them during the day. The teachers and admin are so thoughtful and invested. Great program!

My Daughter is now 2 and has been at lighthouse since she was 12 weeks old. She has always been cared for and we know when we leave her she is in great hands. She loves her school and she has grown a so much in such a short amount of time.

Our girls love CLH! They’ve made many sweet friends & the teachers and staff are wonderful!

Our child has been at the Lighthouse for 3 years now and we can’t recommend this childcare center enough. The facility is extremely clean and the communication from staff is excellent. They truly care for our child as if he was their own!

We’ve been a part of CLH family for many years with our 2 kids. Overall we have loved our experience and have seen our babies grow and learn quite a bit since being a part of their Pre-k and a Private Kinder.

Our daughter has been going here for 2 years. We have been happy overall with the care she receives. We have had bumps in the road but have been vocal about them and the staff has been receptive and responsive to any of our concerns. Our daughter loves splash pad days in the summer and loves her teachers.
