China Doll reviews
14I Have been going here for years, but my last order of Shrimp Egg Foo Yung was not good the steamed rice was had lumps of rice in it. This is just not the usual. They must have a new person cooking. The shrimp was mushy and has peices of shrimp different sizes in the Egg Foo Yung, it was not firm the way it usually is. This is the only place I know that can cook Egg Foo Yung the old school way. When i use to eat it at Gee's Chinese Restaurant on Airline back in the early 1980s. Please bring back person that was cooking before because you can really taste the difference in the food preparation. My purchase was a take out on 11-18-2022 around 7-8pm
Good portion size and tasty food. Over the past two years of living in the area, I usually order the China Doll fried rice and organge chicken, and the food quality is consistent.
If you are feeling under the weather with sinus, flu, head/chest cold, I highly recommend their hot and sour soup. I get the large order of it and their wonton soup ecerytime it's the best in the city (trust me I've gotten it form plenty other places) but they are by far the best. Even when I'm feeling fine I order those soups mainly the hot and sour.
Very rude lady working there found a hair in my food and they did nothing! Racist they just like our money but don’t care ️
I had been a customer for over 4 years never had an issue now that they have their clientele they don’t care watch out!
The food is so delicious I've been coming here for years and never disappointed love china doll
So, I gotta say.the Teriyaki Chicken was off the chain delicious ya'll! The Pepper Steak with House Fried Rice is also a winner in my book!
It doesn’t seem like they are open but they do take-out. The fried rice is AMAZING and SPRING ROLLS. I’ve also have had sweet and sour chicken, and general chicken also good so far haven’t had any issues.
The last visit was horrible. We drove from Sugar Land and it was a wasted trip. The shrimp fried rice and house fried rice was dry and flavorless. We've never had an issue until now. We will not be back.
Very good they have went up on the price a little bit quantities very good been going here for over 20 years And I will fix your food high over you ask
I have been going here since a child and they have fell off. However, some days it’s a hit or miss. Tonight I encountered a very rude server. We were seated in about 5 mins but didn’t get our order taken until we waited for 20 mins. So, the icing on the cake is when we got ready to leave… We paid by card and was going to tip in cash. The server went berserk about seeing 0 on the tip line, when she could have said thank you and have a nice night. She would’ve had 20 extra dollars in her pocket if she had remained professional. Bad experience and I don’t think I would be going to this establishment any time soon.
I ordered two lo mein combination. Extra extra spicy spicy. Jesus they surpassed my expectations! Great flavor! Great flavor great color too. Not pale noodles like others. I love this place. Ask for extra extra spicy. You won’t be disappointed!
They sell food that is NOT FRESH! Supposedly it goes bad in an hour according to Owner!
Never Again…
I ordered the beef lo mein and the China Doll fried rice. It was a GREAT PORTION and Brito the eye but the flavor was bland it was NOT TASTY at all. It was my first time tonight and my son asked me to rate it I said a 4. There was no flavor and the noodles was a bit sticky. The meat in the rice all tasted the same just pan seeded in soy sauce that’s it. But it was HOT and steamy ️I added teriyaki sauce at home still a bust $22 down the drain.
