China Rose, San Antonio TX

We love eating here. They always put plenty of food on our plates. The food is made fresh when we order and it always tastes great. The tables are clean and the staff is very nice and they do a great job. One of my favorite places to go eat. Everyone e joys the food. They had already started eating when I took the pictures of the food.

Havent been here in over 2 years and was really wanting mongolian beef. Service was pretty bad at the register. Mariana, (name on receipt,) short lady, was a bit rude. I ordered my kids plate and asked her to substitute her rice for noodles and she tells me they dont do that. I told her i would pay extra but i wanted noodles and she repeated herself. I was like, okay maybe cuz it's a lunch special. I order my mongolian beef told her i wanted noodles and rudely said they dont do that. Okay, i guess not. In about 5 minutes our order gets dropped off by an older lady who doesnt speak. At least, she did not say a word to me. I was looking for the hot oil, back then it was where the drinks were at but i couldnt find it. I asked the runnner about it and she swings her arm over her head pointing to the register. I'm like.okayy! So there i stand andthe short lady is prepping the to go orders not realizing im behind her. A cook noticed i was waiting and asked her to please hand me the hot oil. She grabs two not even acknowledging me and walks off. My plate was alright but my daughters lemon chicken was really hard. It didnt look cooked all the way. I give two stars because my plate was okay and for the cook noticing i needed my hot oil. Other than that, i can probably go another two years without Chine Rose.

The workers have horrible attitudes, they got my name wrong so were arguing with me that they didn't have my order, didn't give me eggrolls for combos but sure did charge me, tried giving me 4 cups when I had 9 combos, he only gave me 8, (I didn't count combos till I got home) worst experience ever! Ordered 2 entrees and asked for one with no peanuts they put the peanuts on the wrong Entree! What if the person had allergies, they need to be more careful!

Haven't been there in long time, years not friendly welcoming place and not very good customer services at register either then I get my lemon chicken and it raw send it back got another one and the fried rice wasn't fried rice it was white rice soy sauce wait a minute doesn't come with green onions, peas, carrots and egg, well I won't stopping there again and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Forgot my fried Rangoon, got home only to see my meal wasn't in the bag. Went back to get it and they said I had to bring the order back. Like a good father, I'm not going to say, "hey kids stop eating I have to take it all back. " Worst $50 I ever spent.

Horrible service from the start. Got hung up twice. Trying to place an order by phone. Went in somebody name. Bella was very rude. Had a lot of attitude no manners. The serving was so small. Not worth your money or time. We’ll never go again. Rather go to panda express.

China Rose on Southwest Military Drive is the location I choose to order from. I only order to go and from my experience the crew is very professional. Restraunt is always nice and clean. Every once in a while there will be 4 or 5 people in line. Majority of the time I stop by I'm the only person that's placing an order. That mean wait time is not very long. Usually 5 or so minutes and on busy days I've waited up to 20 minutes. For the longest time I would order the chicken lo mein and it's not to expensive. Under 10$. The only thing is it is not a combo meal. So all you get is the dish. The noodles work for me plus there is plenty of chicken and it even has mushrooms, onions, and pod peas. I add a few packets of soy sauce and I don't know why. Well things have changed because as of a few months ago I started ordering the sesame chicken. It is available as a combo that includes a drink and egg roll. All for approximately 10-11$. The chicken sizes are great and the chicken is white white meat. I share the egg roll with my mother and my son even eats a few pieces of chicken as well and he enjoys the taste. Trust me his a picky eater. Overall China Rose has my approval and they also have my business. Thanks China Rose for the wonderful Chinese Cuisine.

Chicken teriyaki was disgusting. Chicken was bland! " teriyaki sauce " watery! My first time going and very disappointed!

If this is what good Chinese food is, I think they need to import more Chinese into this country. Food was edible, but the portions were so small I thought I was eating a child's plate. No service to speak of, they don't care if you eat there or not. Eat somewhere else.

Great food, but horrible customer service. Unfriendly, no one greets you, had no idea that I had to order first. I sat there for 5mins waiting for a waiter.

The food was good and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. It was very hot in the restaurant it didn't feel like the AC wasn't on.

OMG. Best Chinese food I have found in all of SA! This hole in the wall restaurant is an absolute gem. Great service, friendly smiles, extremely reasonable prices with more than enough food on your plate. At first glance I was a little put off by the small dining area but the service and absolutely delicious food won my heart. FYI: the best egg drop soup I have ever tasted! Definitely telling everyone I know about this place and I'll be back very soon!

Officially the last China Rose that is open in San Antonio. It may come to pass that this one will close soon as the service and the atmosphere are severely lacking and the food is barely continuing to remain consistently adequate. Expect rude servers, waitresses and cashiers upon your arrival and throughout the experience.

There was hair in my MooGoo. It was a Togo order so I didn’t see it until I got home. I was so grossed out I sat there in disgust before I called and spoke to the rude supervisor.he asked me to take the food back. I don’t live in that neighborhood and my grandmother doesn’t drive at night. He said he would only remake my order and I would have to take it back before closing time which was 2 hours til. They can eat my A$$! I’m disputing this sick transaction with my credit card company.

The service is great, and the location is very clean. The food was a bit salty but maybe it was what I ordered. I'll come back for sure though.

The little short old looking cashier is the worst cashier ever! She's rude and acts like she is never wrong when she messes up on the orders.
Made us wait even longer to give us our correct order. China Roach!
