Choke Canyon Travel Center reviews
17Awesome travel stop. Larger than usual restrooms which were very clean, snacks, hot food, and souvenirs.
I love this store when it’s not extremely crowded. They’re so friendly and the place is always spotless! Love the sugar cookies bud all their food is pretty good!
Excellent customer service, also extremely clean! The cashier was amazing and made my night
No restrooms available like never before personal very rude just today I'm very disappointed with the service
This morning (12/22/2022) I bought some tacos and a container with chicken salad, cheese, grapes and crackers. I began eating the chicken salad and then ate a couple of pieces of cheese. Noticed the cheese cubes had mold on them. Tried calling the store, no answer. I will be coming in today (12/22/2022) to speak with someone on how to get my money back on the chicken salad container.
Very clean restrooms and very over priced fountain drinks. If you are gonna charge $2,90 for a 44oz soda at least put it on a price sheet so I know I’m about to get it hard. It also needs to come with lube for that price.
I don’t think I have ever wrote a review about a gas station and I drive all over. This gas station was so incredibly clean and had some great food options! I bought a Turkey pot pie and it was actually way better than I could have ever expected.
Ultra clean bathroom sign is totally correct. I might as the entire location. Every time I have stopped here it’s the same. Consistent and constantly is all I can say
I love to stop here, it's always super clean, not crowded and you can find almost anything, the gift shop it's awesome, they heve so many western and native alike products, they have deli, ready to go snacks, fruits, vegetables and desserts, also its big, convenient and easy to get in and out from the highway. Gas prices are competitive and the staff it's so friendly no matter the hour.
They have great tacos, bakery, plenty of drinks, a decent selection of food. Try the brisket. They do have stuff for grilling if you forget to buy at HEB. This place saves me multiple trips before I head out in the morning.
Great selection of items, and amazing bakery. Have tried many of the cheesecakes they offer, and every one of them has been amazing.
Decent prices on most items, BBQ restaurant inside with great BBQ. Always stop here for a snack or meal when passing by.
Registers are always busy but take care of people really quick, never much of a wait.
Me and my kids went in for some ribs and brisket.
Spent over $100.
Foods great.but this one server VINCENT,
has zero respect for customers. He talks down to customers like he was better than us. I wouldn't complain if this wasn't the first time. I've tried contacting management but no answer
So many items to choose from. My fave part was the assortment of beautiful crosses but there is something here for kids of all ages.yes adults too lol. Very clean restrooms and plenty of gas pumps.
Awful restrooms. First time in a very long time, that I’ve stopped here on way from SA to Corpus Christi that the rr have been this poorly maintained! Shocked!
UPDATE: March 17,2022. The employees are friendly and helpful. Sadly the Alligator is gone all thanks to Buc-ee's lawsuit. I would choose these travel centers over Buc-ee's any day. The Bar B Q restaurant inside can not be beat. The brisket is very tender and the sausage is quite flavorful. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is highly remarkable. I wish the gator merchandise would return, it's much more desirable than the current mascot, and more appealing than an ugly beaver.
You can find just about anything in there. It reminds me of the Ika markets in Europe. Small, but with necessary items and more. The store has been open for about 2&1/2 years now. I recommend the sweet tea, it was delightful. We also purchased donuts and popcorn. Both were delicious If you want a t-shirt with the gator on it and you wear a small, you are out of luck. They carry medium and x-large only
This place used to have a really good bakery they don't seem to care about the freshness of their bakery goods anymore last 2 times I purchased goods from the bakery everything tasted old or it was hard like it has been there too long they reduced their staffing as well In order to get anything from the bakery I had to wait at least 5 minutes before someone noticed me please don't waste your money at the bakery I hope the owner reads this
What place of business that advertises 24 hours closes for an hour at 1 AM to casually “mop the floors “? Then they don’t re- even open at the time they have posted on the door.
The quality of this place has definitely gone down lately. The hot food Is always dried out.
Used to count on the store for always being open and reliable but not anymore.
