ChongQing House reviews
20We tried something new tonight, and it was delicious. We had a small verity and will be back
Ordered Uber Eats. The food was well packaged. The items were delivered warm. The food was deliciously. We love the cold cut. The fried rice was surprisingly good. The spicy pot was yummy goes so well with a bowl of rice.
I'm not ordering delivery again. $53 for two dishes. I asked for no peanuts and they didn't pay attention. Lucky I'm not, but what if I were allergic? ! Delivered with NO soy sauce or any sauce for that matter. Last, I ordered medium spicy and there is absolutely NO spice to the shrimp kung-pow. Small portions for an Asian joint too.
One of the most authentic Sichuan dishes I have ever eaten in the United States! ! ! Highly recommend the live fish with fresh pepper!
Love this place.
The food is so authentic and price is reasonable compare to other sichuanese restaurant.
Been here couple times and will definitely come back more!
Absolutely delicious and authentic Szechuan Chinese cuisine! We ordered a bunch of dishes and shared them with the table! I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Dallas
It’s very clean and delicious! Will come again next time! The price is also very affordable
I came here to try their sesame chicken. My husband got the beef with peppers. Both were delicious. If you can’t handle spicy food ask to make the beef with peppers less spicy. It was filled with peppers and dried chilies. Super spicy. I would like to come here again and try something new.
Flavorful Sichuan style Chinese food. Quantity was appropriate for the price, although the beef dish was the most expensive and for this I would've expected more.
Got: Thinly sliced beef with pepper, pork with bamboo shoots, combination fried rice, and fish with salt & pepper. Also got fried rice cake with brown sugar syrup.
My favorite dish was the fish with salt & pepper, it was perfectly crispy and seasoned.
The pork and beef were too salty for my liking, and are best eaten with white rice which I unfortunately didn't have since it cost $1 for and I didn't want to spend extra money on rice if I was gonna have fried rice.
Fried Rice was a huge quantity but it correlated well with the asking price so I can't be upset with it but I did wish for a little more meat, but overall flavor was fine.
The service was good and the workers were attentive.
The fried rice cake wasn't as great as I was expecting. I would've wanted a crisper exterior with the mushy, soft interior, inside the outside was still pretty soft. The brown sugar syrup was too sweet for my liking and I wanted to have it watered down.
Overall, a nice place to try.
Blacklisted. Will never visit again. Not sure why was it so highly rated. I marked less spicy and non spicy, they gave us the devil level spicy. Have to dump all the food. Every dish ordered online is 2 bucks higher in price than ordering in person.
Here food is amazing and clean room,
But, third time enter here (Sunday) was hurt my feelings a lot, because the old waiter there says lunch break let’s me come back, and says to another worker we give to him small tip,
Wish there have owner watching restaurant and have to training him to be respectful to customers and do not adjusts customers tip, this old waiter will be let’s this restaurant shut down soon,
This food is amazing very authentic to mainland China and a super cozy atmosphere. We had to take stuff to go it was so good!
Had a family outing here and the food was good and prices reasonable
If you prefer more authentic Chinese food to Westernized offerings in discount buffers, this will be a great option.
Everything we had was Delicious! Green beans Eggplant Tofu and Spicy beef were the stand outs amongst everything we had. Go on an empty stomach!
I ordered a mapo tofu today. It was quite good, but the portion was a bit small. It must be that the wok master’s wife made the tofu all night long and it was very tender. It was relatively precious, so I gave less.
This may sound like hyperbole, but this place has the blandest fried rice I have ever eaten. Same thing with the spring rolls. The only flavor is oil.
Perhaps their other dishes are better, but the fried rice and spring rolls were beyond disappointing.
Finding authentic Sichuan food in Dallas is hard but this place has it! The numbing spice is such an addictive taste and this place nailed it.
This is one of the most delicious and authentic Chinese food establishments I have seen in the US! I lived in China for a few months and my favorite part was always the amazing food, and eating here brought me right back to China and I felt like I was in heaven. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the food was priced adequately, but the flavors and authenticity of this restaurant is what really put it above and beyond the rest. I highly recommend trying out ChongQing House for some real, authentic, and delicious Chinese food!
Walked in and ordered takeout today. Very authentic Chinese food. I enjoyed all the dishes that I ordered from the menu, and I haven't ordered anything that disappointed me yet. Service was just okay since the waiter seemed to not know how to greet customers or provide appropriate customer service. Food was ready quickly but without any utensils or rice. Make sure to ask for utensils if you order to go if needed. They charge extra for plain white rice, which did not make sense to me.
