I can't rate Chris Mallett-State Farm Insurance more highly. Mireya Baxley was so helpful and reassuring at every stage of the process and dealt with everything expertly and efficiently. It makes such a difference knowing that your insurance company are even better than your expectations and go the extra mile.

This company has given me the best customer experience of any Insurance company that I have used in my 15 years of buying homeowners insurance. They check every box, and I would recommend them without reservation.

Horrendous on service

Update: nobody is picking up the phone at the office and can’t get a hold of anyone to fix the situation. Unreal. My insurance card has been inaccurate and I’ve been paying for a car that I’ve repeatedly told 3-4 people now at the office should be off of the policy. Amazes me at how uncoordinated this office is! How about you give me a call, Chris, since I’ve been calling for weeks now trying to get this corrected?

Super happy, I had never taken out an auto policy, with someone who really helps you, explains and gives you the best options for my convenience, Ashtyn Hester helped me with everything, she was very attentive to my needs and also had all the patience to explain.to my 20-year-old daughter and me on her car insurance! Talk about 5 stars above and beyond customer service provided by Ashtyn! She was very thorough and patient with my questions and extremely professional. In my 36 years of driving, I have never been with State Farm so I am impressed with the rates I was provided and look forward to giving them my business.

It was my first time getting auto insurance and Jon from State Farm helped me out tremendously. He answered all my questions and elaborated further with tips and tricks. I felt very comfortable learning about the ropes of being covered on the road. Glad I was able to find a great deal along with some great people.

Ashtyn was very courteous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She made me feel comfortable from the very start of the call. She told me what she would do to help me and that she would call me back once she obtained the information she needed. She followed through to the end just like she said she would. She is an outstanding employee for State farm as she is extremely friendly and has great customer service skills. She was also empathetic with me and showed a genuine concern for the issue that I had.

My wife and I have been with State Farm for 35 years, yes 35 years. The company had treated us very well up to 6 months ago. We started out with them in Oklahoma, before moving to Katy. At that time, the office was on Westheimer and Mason, and the staff was decent enough. However from 2005 on, the cracks began to appear. Calls were not answered, bills were questionable, and the communication was limited. Chris Mallet is a good man, but, particularly in the last year, his staff are atrocious. They have no respect for any customer, yet alone a long time one. The reason is that they are not knowledgeable enough to do the job. It’s as simple as that. Rates have gone up with no explanation whatsoever, and when we call, one agent passes the buck to another. We called the National number and they tell us something different. Check your bill, folks, because you will see different prices each time. State Farm, and especially this agency, has sunk to a low that I never thought they would all those years ago. I don’t know if Chris Mallet knows what’s going on, but he should, and I would think he would put a stop to it. However, that’s not my call. What is my call is that we are leaving State Farm for another insurance company. Think about that before you sign up with this agency. If a long time customer is having a big problem, what chance does a new customer have. It’s not age, bitterness or anything else. It’s simply that they are not good enough to do the job, and you will have one big headache as a result of their inefficiency. Last sentence, and I never thought I’d say it. Avoid like the plague.

UPDATE. We have been trying to get a refund on flood insurance for months now, as we moved to another state. Honestly, it’s like going cap in hand. Very little communication, and then it’s all criss crossed. We won’t give up, but it shouldn’t be this hard.
