Christian Brothers Automotive Copperfield, Houston TX

Let me start off with how honest and professional Christian Bros Copperfield is and Firestone is not. Took my van to Firestone where they told me my check engine light is on because I need to replace my evap pump for $400 dollars and due a software upgrade for $500. I gave them my extended warranty info in which they called them only to have the repairs denied. Took the van to Christian Bros for second opinion and so thankful I did. Showed Eddie the recommendations from Firestone and left my van with them. Eddie and team took great care in diagnosing the problem, even finding a separate leak in oil cooler, calling the warranty company and getting all the necessary approvals even getting a hold of the warranty company supervisor. Warranty did not cover 100% of repairs but Eddie was relentless is getting them to cover as much as possible. It ended up costing about $400 total while warranty company picked up around. $1300. Had my vehicle back to me with all repairs done by their great mechanics the next day. So thankful I went to Christian Bros instead of having Firestone repair. Highly recommend to everyone.

There's nothing Christian nor Brotherly about this place! I have been speaking with Matt and Jeremy, but they make empty promises and nothing gets resolved! My elderly father and mother were taken advantage of at this place! They have been overcharged and discriminated against! Scam artists! As a veteran, I am appalled at how Matt and Jeremy have treated my family! Customer service at its worst! DO NOT GO HERE! BIGGEST RIPOFF! THEIR NAME IS AN OXYMORON!

DECEPTION! I am determine to shout the facts in this message to the roof tops and to every media outlet in Houston for a very long time.

It was Thursday, December 8,2022 when my 1997 Suburban broke down in a Walmart parking lot due to a bad fuel pump. My wife of 45 years and I are 64 and 65 respectively, and both have disabilities, but my wife is far worse. Just 4 days away, on Monday, December 12th, 2022 she had three urgent doctor appointments for important test, and my Suburban was her only possible transportation. She has been very ill for 33 years, is nearly blind, and once actually died. Only by a miracle, was she brought back to life after seeing Heaven. It was imperative that she get to her doctor appointments or she could die again.

I called Christian Brothers Copperfield on FM529 and was quoted $375 to install my fuel pump by the following day, Friday, December 9th. I had my Suburban towed to Christian Brothers. A few hours later I was informed that my starter was bad and they insisted on replacing it first before they would install my fuel pump. The starter was working when I left my Suburban in Christian Brothers parking lot. I could have installed the starter for $150, but replacing the fuel pump was a much bigger task. Caring for my wife nearly 24/7 left me no time to replace the fuel pump before Monday, so I told them to install the starter and the fuel pump. I talked to Christian Brothers again on Friday afternoon and asked if they had installed the starter and the fuel pump, but they had only installed the starter. It was only AFTER the starter was installed that Christian Brothers informed me that the $375 quote for the fuel pump installation would now cost more than $1200 to install their fuel pump assembly. I had no way to pay that amount. They said the reason given for the price increase was that my fuel system was old and had plastic clips that could easily break. They knew I had an old 1997 Suburban when they quoted me $375, but refused to do the job for a penny less. I was then told that there was NO TIME LEFT to install the fuel pump till Monday. That meant that the $585 I paid to install a starter was wasted because my Suburban was still not running. I had no other choice but to have my Suburban towed home.

Monday came and with nothing to drive my wife missed all of her doctor appointments. It was too late to get a new appointments because her insurance ended at the end of 2022. I called Christian Brothers corporate office in an attempt to locate the owner of the Copperfield location, but never heard back from him. It was not until Tuesday, December 13th, the day AFTER my wife missed her appointments that the manager of Christian Brothers Automotive Copperfield on FM529 called and offered to help by towing my Suburban back to his shop at no charge and installing my fuel pump for $435, still higher than the original $375 quote.

The ONLY reason I took my Suburban to Christian Brothers Automotive on FM529 was to insure it would be running in time to take my wife to her appointments on Monday. Paying to have it done on Tuesday was useless because my wife already missed all of her appointments.

Today is December 29,2022 and we are still stranded at home with nothing too drive. I am angry about losing money, but that is nothing compared my anger over the pain, suffering and harm their deception caused, and their actions which prevented my wife my from getting to her urgent appointments.

Christian Brothers claims to be a company run on Christian principals, but they failed to apply the ones listed in these Bible verses. Matthew 6: 12 and Exodus 20: 15-16.

UPDATE: We were stranded at home with nothing to drive until January of 2023 before I could get help to install a new fuel pump and have a running vehicle. My wife must now wait till April of 2023 when she turns 65 and her Medicare starts before she can see her doctors. I am still willing to talk with the owner of Christian Brothers, but have heard nothing.

UPDATE #2: 8 months later, still no response from owner!

The team knows me as “Nikki White”. From my very first phone call on this past Thursday, Mr. Eddie held my hand thru the over the phone consult for the repair of my car. He was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the issue that I was having with my alternator. I feel as though he took care of me like he would his own daughter. The the rest of the team also worked together to provide the same level of service. By Friday morning I had my car towed in and Mr. Eddie and Jeremy tagged teamed on the communication giving me a play by play on the status of my repair. They had me all set for pick up by 4 pm that afternoon. I now have a trusted repair shop “pit crew” for my 320i! Thank you all so much and God bless!

Won’t be going again. Made an appointment for a wheel alignment and they started working on it an hour later. It wasn’t even busy. Also oil changes will be over an hour so don’t waste your time.

They were very professional with the problem that occurred during my visit. They took care of all the problems and called me when my vehicle was ready.

I went through the trouble of scheduling an appointment and confirming for a oil change just for them to cancel it. Very very inconvenient. What's the point of going through the process of setting up an appointment then? Now I have to find somewhere else to go. Completely ANNOYED
