CHA Law Group gets my strongest endorsement. We had a very sensitive case involving a family member. Christine and Jessah took a very compassionate approach and tapped into their professional network to ensure smooth legal support. Jessah was extremely accessible and contacted us at every point along the way to check in on us and provide updates. There were no surprises. Also it is notable that CHA Law represented us without any issue with us being out of state.

We met with Christine Andresen to get a name & gender marker change for our child. Everyone was professional and kind. The entire process was easy. Big shout out to Jessah Castro for guiding us through the process. We would have been lost in this process without CHA Law.

Trying to go through the name change process on my own turned into a nightmare. I hired CHA Law Group to take care of it and, from the initial phone consult to getting my certified copies of the name change order, it was stress free. Communication was excellent and they were friendly and professional throughout the process.

The consultation cost $125. However, I spent 35 mins trying to explain the custody order he had access to the entire call. Don’t waste your money.

The CHA Law firm went out of their way when my son was dying of cancer. He only had two weeks to live when we contacted them. They spoke with him on the phone, wrote his will, came out to the house to ensure he had all his faculties, brought witnesses to the will signing at his house, and was warm and caring during his last days. As a father, you couldn’t ask for more.

After we adopted our two children internationally, we wanted to "re-adopt" them in Texas so they could obtain Texas birth certificates. Not many family law attorneys even know this is an option for internationally adopted children. But Christine knew, and also knew exactly how to get it done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Christine!

Christine is fantastic! She is knowledgeable, thorough and a great communicator. She explains the process and the critical details well so you understand what needs to be done and why. Her staff is very professional and responsive. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering estate planning.

From the very first conversation with Christine and Jessah we immediately got a sense that our family issue would be resolved. They worked quickly and kept us informed of progress. Please read to the end if you are thinking about this practice—I wish I would have. The absolute worst experience ever. I hope this helps someone looking at these five star reviews.if it saves one person from her office and/or services, this review will do the community justice. First, Christine has everyone sign a document that basically states if you give her a less than favorable review, she will use your private information to rebuttal the reviews. Since I fired her and have the judge’s ruling accepting her termination In my case, I trust she will not use our private information for the children’s safety and per the sealed ruling. I thought maybe this (Signing a review document) was industry standard, but it is absolutely not, and it is unethical. Please keep that in mind as you read these supposed “5 star reviews” or if you are ever presented such documentation. For those of you who want safety to be taken seriously, this practice is not the place for you. She was presented with legal documents of abuse and dismissed these as nothing serious. She and her staff were extremely poor communicators. On multiple occasions, I believed they had forgotten my case or put it on the back burner. Christine was difficult to get a hold of and knew very little about our case—she left this all up to the legal assistant which did not help. Christine would interrupt us often, avoid answering our questions, and treat us like we were a burden— like stated in another users 1 Star review—we had the same experience. Christine probably has a world record on the longest unresolved case on my matter. She dragged it on well before Covid (could be used as an excuse) and as far as she could after Covid began. She took over three times the amount of time she said it would take and charged over twice as much as what she estimated. Like the other 1 star reviewer—she and her office made careless mistakes in paperwork and process that she recharged us to do again-same as the other reviewer. Our new lawyer had to redo most as ruled by the judge.

Here’s the kicker.this was an uncontested case—nobody was even fighting us! It felt as if Christine was our opposing party! When we were granted privileges to terminate Christine and go with another lawyer, we won our case in a heartbeat.less than 2 months (during Covid, too). To be clear, the new lawyer had to repeat almost EVERYTHING Christine had done as ordered by the judges because Christine’s office did a couple processes incorrectly! So it wasn’t like we just transferred a case, it was almost a complete restart besides the applications. The cost of the new lawyer was exactly in range of the estimated cost and 1/3rd of the price of Christines and we still received money back from the new lawyer. I am also positive the judges and court system do not look as favorably upon Christine or her practice—like they knew her documents and methods weren’t up to speed (this part is just an opinion I have because the stark contrast between the communication/experiences with both practices). However, the contrast in quality, ethics, price, experience, and speed was a real factor. Best of luck to those of you looking—you deserve better.

Right from the start they treated us much more than clients but as family. Their kind and professional guidance and support was the key to accomplishing our most desired goal in life: becoming parents. We truly recommend CHA Law. They have been true blessing for our family.
