CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Emergency Center - Kilgore reviews
7We do not live in Kilgore. We are here visiting my parents for New Years and got trapped isolating because the adults got sick. My little man started feeling bad and coughing bad. Brought him here, got us in quick, tested quick, diagnosed quick, medicated quick, and discharge quick. Everyone has been so super sweet and thorough. So pleased with my experience.
On a recent Saturday night, my seven year old slipped while dancing and cut her chin. We left our house in Kilgore a little after 7: 00 pm, went to the ER, received kind respectful care, got six stitches and a popsicle, and were back home by 9: 00. Highly recommend! Thanks so much!
Checked in, waited mayb 10 min, nurse called me to back. The Dr was there and ready with nurse, peed in cup, took blood about 50 min later I had my diagnosis and was able to leave. Less than 2 hrs. Gave 4 stars because running fever and achy wasn't offered any ibuprofen to help with that. I always come here.never had any problems.
L love the place, nurses and staff but Dr. Mendenhall’s attitude of “but why did we come now? ” was not warranted and was made several times. It made for a judgmental tone being set and did not allow for open communication between the patients and the doctor.
I was taken back quickly but that's the only reason they're getting 2 stars. I came in for what we thought was strep and I was prescribed a four day dose of medication that didn't help at all so when I went to the tyler location I was given more medications to actually treat me and help. People close to me have had horrible experiences there and I refuse to go there anymore.
I went in because I got punched in the head and had bleeding coming out of my ear for days, they did a CT scan on my head & asked when my period was last. I told them I didn't have it & it was due on the 17th they conitinued to do the CT scan with no protection. I took a pregnancy test a day later & it was postive. They never once cared to test me at the hospital and acted like I was stupid for even coming in.
Terrible experience. Went in for stomach pain & Was told by doctor I needed a psychiatrist that it was from anxiety or depression and ended up going somewhere else and had to have my gallbladder removed asap. & on top of that I didn’t even express that I had anxiety or depression. Made me feel like I was crazy. Nurses were absolutely the sweetest but never felt so belittled by someone.
