CHRISTUS Promptu Urgent Care Saratoga Town Center, Corpus Christi TX

Staff on the day of my visit was nice enough, but getting results was agonizing. I was called today and asked if I was well after I just told her I couldn’t walk… seems like I’m not well.

I paid for my visit just for them to prescribe me medicine I could've got at the grocery store except mucinex isn't $95. Very very few words exchanged, didn't really seem to care about me as a patient, and I felt rushed out. However the woman who took my BP was very sweet. The receptionist Angela was rude to my mother and is fortunate I didn't speak to her directly. Hopefully the other location will be open next time so I can avoid this tragedy of a urgent "care" facility.

In my opinion, avoid this facility like the plague. I will never step foot here again. Especially if you have Blue Cross Blue Shield, because both facilities branded are the only urgent care facilities in-network within 20 miles.

I was seen by Dr. Luis Cardenas. I described the timeline leading up to my injury. I was tired and sore after driving at work for three hours Thursday. I had a good weekend, then injured my back cleaning house Sunday and Monday. My back pain progressively got worse and worse. I made an appointment with my PCP Friday morning, but by Friday night, the pain was excruciating. I didn't go to the ER, but waitied until 8: 00 am Saturday morning to get urgent care.

Dr. Cardenas asked several questions, including whether I had ever had chicken pox. He then said he must refuse to treat me since I had a workplace injury, I needed to pursue worker's comp. He also said I probably had shingles, since my pain radiated from my back to my lower ribs in my chest. I argued my injury occurred three or four days after I had last worked, yet he claimed the triggering event was driving while at work. He also stated that, "if I sought treatment elsewhere and changed my story, it would be fraud. "

In my opinion, Dr. Luis Cardenas is a moron. First, I had never HAD chicken pox. Second, even IF I did have shingles, then it was definitely NOT a workplace injury to begin with, so his opinion at that point was moot. Because we disagreed as to the cause of my injury, my only choice was to wait three more days, or seek treatment at the ER, out of network, or in another city. Even my insurance company agreed with me.

AVOID CHRISTUS PROMPTU LIKE THE PLAGUE, and avoid Dr. Luis Cardenas! Just my advice, worth the paper it's written upon. Take it or leave it.

I have been up all night trying to get an appointment thru your ZipPass. The site would never come up. ZipPass not available at this time. I startted at 11: 30 pm to get on at midnight to get an appointment and kept getting the same message ZipPass not available at this time. What a horrid way to get an appointment. From midnight and for 6 hours trying to get an appointment. Such a disappointment.

Customer service is the worst. I called servial times to make appointment. When I walked in girl up front she was just sitting there playing or texting on her phone but that wasn't the problem they don't pick up phone.and they weren't busy.i ask for manager he wasn't in

she was just as rude as the receptionist. She was actually mocking me. So Childish. I got there names bc I have never been treated like that. They need to educate them on how to treat people. Never ever will I go there.and that's bc I have christus health plan insurance.

This facility will turn you away if you have a Covid like symptom. You need to have an appointment. Don't be like me wasting my time to go there. This "Urgent" Care is a joke.

Sean Skinner, NP diagnosed me with meningitis (verbally only), but did no testing, and told me to go to ER if “I felt like I needed to”. He provided no description of what symptoms would constitute grounds for an ER / emergency visit. He recited the high mortality rate, and told me to “go home, rest, and drink water. ” Upon leaving, I read my discharge paperwork which indicated a diagnosis of covid-19 and acute upper respiratory infection. At this same appointment Sean Skinner, NP told to me that it would be very unlikely to get covid again, since I recently had it and I tested negative. I was not having any breathing / respiratory issues. Appointment was rushed and very expensive to be told nothing.

As unpleasant as I was feeling everyone made my visit pleasant. They were very thorough and explained all they were testing for and made me feel at ease.

Haven’t been feeling well for a week. I have pain on my upper right side of my body. I finally decided to go to urgent care. When I stepped the woman asked me why I was there. I have her my answer and proceeded to tell me they don’t have advanced testing they cant help me and to go to the ER. I decided to go to Doctors Center South Saratoga, and the young lady took my info. Didn’t ask why I was there.basically did her job. Terrible service at Promptu.

Went there to get checked out and they literally did nothing. All the doctor did was give me his opinion no testing or nothing just an opinion and got charged an arm and a leg of a bill for AN OPINION. I don't want an opinion I wanted blood work something with actual results never going back again. Also if you have blue cross blue shield do not go here although insurance says its in the network the bill you get makes you think otherwise.

Poor service not willing to help a 7 year old patient; avoiding treatment over a little blood. I cannot understand how they setup shop to pick and choose who they want to treat! Piss poor service! If your bleeding don't go to this place they are not trained to deal with blood!

I came in with a piece of glass stuck in my foot. The entire staff was so amazing! It was my first experience at an urgent care facility and I was so impressed with the entire process here. I hate needles and the doctor and nurse attending to me were so patient and caring. I came in limping and came out walking just fine! 5+ stars!

I was able to get an appt within 24 hrs. The staff and doctor were professional and courteous. I did not hve to wait long for my lab results and that was a great relief to me! I would highly recommend them!

Very satisfied with their care! The practitioners are excellent! Their establishment is always clean.

They are very professional and efficient in giving immediate care. I was quickly evaluated, treated, and own my way home in a very reasonable amount of time. I would definitely go back to them for future medical care and have recommended them to others.

I go here whenever my primary physician’s office is too busy to see me, or when it’s after their hours of business.i have always been treated so kindly from the sweet receptionists they have, to the medical assistants who try to converse with me to keep me calm, and to the friendly, caring, and knowledgeable nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants.i’m always in and out in less than an hour and a half.they’ve called me with regards to any updates, or urgent medication changes.love it here!

Unprofessional beyond belief I waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen when there were only 3 patients including myself, nurses were more concerned with talking then getting patients taking care of, and when I asked 2 times how much longer my wait would be to see doctor I was given attitude and rude looks by LVN and nurses, doctor only spent a total of 5 minutes in my room and then I had to ask what prescription she was calling In for me because she left the room without giving me any information! I called back today the day after my appt because I am still in extreme pain and was told I would get a call back that was 3 hrs ago! And forget about calling Christus Spohn to file a complaint because all they do is reroute you to the number of the clinic that you were treated with such poor service! Christus Spohn should not have an urgent care clinic unless they have the appropriate, caring and professional staff they need to work there. Doctor was the worst I have ever experienced! And I recorded my entire 2 1/2 hr experience and intend on making a very serious complaint! Once they get your copay they don’t care!

So much for Prompt and accurate service. I am very disappointed in CHRISTUS Promptu Urgent Care in Corpus Christi, TX. I made an appointment online at the Saratoga location, filled out all the forms online and showed up at the 9: 45 am appointment time. The Dr.didn't see me until 11: 15. Not only did I spend almost 2 hours there for a bad cough, but my Rx was called in to the wrong pharmacy. After asking me twice which pharmacy I used, Promptu Urgent Care called it in to a pharmacy on the other side of town. This is not the service I come to expect from CHRISTUS. Very disappointing. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Staff is always friendly and expedite care. Everyone is professional, and kind. You can tell they care about their patients.

It was my first month with a new insurance, and I could not get a response to get in to see a Primary Care Provider. I went to Christus Promptu Urgent Care when I woke up with a sore throat and feared the worse. I was so nervous that I would be at the office for hours and was already feeling awful, but I decided to try this place anyway. I loved that I was able to sign in online and register before I even arrived. I showed up and immediately was taken to a waiting room. I loved the doctor and all the staff. It was quick and effortless and the office was so clean. I definitely recommend people going here for care.
