I had a good experience in my prenatal care. After the birth of my child I felt like it was really difficult to get help. I was having a lot of pain along my c-section scar for months and I reached out several times, requested to be seen and turned away. I was told it was "normal" give it more time. Still having problems and they finally brought me in for an ultrasound over the area which showed nothing. The ultrasound tech told me that scar tissue isn't visible with an ultrasound. Results showed "nothing" said my doctor and no assistance was given. After 6 months from my birth and still having problems with no help I found a new doctor.

Dr. Fanning is great. There’s no doubt about that! However, the wait time for every single visit is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Each visit I’m waiting atleast 45 minutes-1.5 hours just to be called and then you count wait time in the room and it’s just crazy. I understand being busy but people take off time from work, get baby sitters etc and have time frames for their daily life and our time is absolutely NOT respected here. Such a shame to have an office that runs like this for such an amazing Doctor.

This facility should be shut down. The blatant disrespect from everyone here is sickening. No concern whatsoever for the patients and even talk bad about other patients in front of me. Very unprofessional and to be quite honest, this whole facility is full of mean, hateful, and negligent “medical professionals” and staff. Don’t go here.

This is a Discriminatory place! The lady who took me in Shally, started asking me if I needed someone to translate for me only because I’m dark hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. I was talking English to her and she was right on my face still asking if I need someone to translate. She is white and her name is Shally. Dr. Brought her in saying it was a miss understanding but she never say sorry. Which she is sorry big time!

Dr. Goedeke and her nursing staff was great. We only had maybe three OB appointments with her before my husband’s work transferred us to Shreveport, so we had to get a new doctor. The billing lady, Maria has been horrible to get in contact with. I have left five voicemails over the past 2 months trying to get refunded money we paid for services we did not receive. She was very pleasant in person while I was a patient, but I’m assuming she just doesn’t want to deal with this aspect of billing. We have paid Christus $1,170.31 towards our amount due after insurance. Our total for prenatal visits, delivery and postpartum visits was going to be $1,996.18. I am due to give birth this month with my new doctor, who is in Bossier City and works at a different hospital than Christus. This is because there are no Christus OBGYN clinics in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Since I had no choice but to get a new OB, I also had no choice but to pay another $1,800 to my new doctor’s office. Expecting a baby is expensive enough without having all this money added on top of it. I have tried to resolve this with the Christus billing department and have gotten nowhere, so I reached out to my insurance company and let them know of the fraudulent billing. Please make sure to read everything on any financial agreements, ask ALL the questions and keep every receipt! No one should have to go through with this unnecessary added stress, let alone while pregnant.
**UPDATE: We have been refunded our money**

So far, I've been very satisfied with the care I've received from my actual doctor (hence the three stars), but dealing with the billing office here has been an absolute nightmare.

First, they tell me that I have to self pay and seek reimbursement from my insurance. When I spoke to my insurance agent, he was furious and said that they should be sending the bills directly to them. Turns out, the bill was sent to my insurance anyway, so the office was attempting to get paid twice. It took filing an ethics complaint to resolve this.

Second, they don't mail your statements or otherwise allow you to view them. I just get an email saying I owe a certain amount, and when I forced them to give me a statement, the amount in the email is always 2 to 5 times the actual amount owed.

Third, after I finally got a copy of my first statement, I owed roughly $60 after the amounts I'd already paid. Called the number on the statement and paid it. That $60 is about to be sent to collections now EVEN THOUGH I PAID IT MONTHS AGO. When my husband tried to sort this out with the woman in charge of billing, she had the audacity to give him a lecture on how we need to pay her directly and not pay the billing office. WHAT? !

Fourth, my bill has a mysterious $260 charge on it. When questioned, they said it was for my 8 week ultrasound. I paid for that ultrasound up front (this was before they started billing my insurance directly). They are literally double billing me.

This is ridiculous. The billing women (Donna and Linda) they have working there needs to lose their licenses/ be terminated immediately before they defraud more women. I have enough stress to deal with while pregnant - this is entirely unnecessary.
