Church On The Rock, Texarkana TX

Small congregation which I like. They make you feel at home and welcomed. The pastor preaches from the heart and gets the word out to you. Love the fellowship. Really great singing.

New to Texarkana and found this amazing church! The Pastor is phenomenal. The music is good but the volume (rock concert level) and duration is a real problem for us and the people we have invited. It is so loud that we must wear ear plugs. The music is played when Pastor John is praying at the beginning and the end of the service and although it is softer than when he is not talking, it is still too loud to be able to concentrate on what he is saying. Today the music was played all the way through a guest speaker’s talk. It felt rude. I know worship is important but I’m wondering if it’s just us, or do others feel this way? Maybe a poll of the congregation could be taken?
The teaching and Pastor get a 5-star rating! The music selection is good but because of the volume and other issue the worship gets a 2.5-star rating.
I pray this doesn’t sound too negative. I really love this church.

I don't feel safe. I respect all religions as long as you are not causing harm to yourself or others. However, this church feels like a creepy cult. I feel like I'm sitting in a room of brainwashed people. Aren't you supposed to be preaching the Bible and teaching God's word? Because 90% of the preaching is nothing but politics and basically saying how much you hate diversity and change. If you cannot accept change and acceptance of others, you will not get by in life. Instead of talking about how Disney Channel is becoming more inclusive and how that offends you (for some reason), why not focus on helping people find their calling and teach what the Lord wanted everyone to know and pass on? Childish and immature. You are not helping people, you are hurting them.

Very great church! I loved the service and loved the people inside and how deep into the word everyone is!

Being new to Texarkana, we were looking for a church similar to Life Church. In Oklahoma, that’s where we attended. I have to say, God provided! This church is almost exactly like life church in every way, and the pastor is just as good! Very down to earth and straight forward, funny and the praise and worship is great!

We love our church and our Pastors. I couldn’t ask for a better church family. The praise and worship is phenomenal and a sound biblical doctrine is preached. Love COTR.

Nondenominational the staff very friendly has a great coffee bar nice atmosphere and just Love Pastor John and LaNeal Miller Bro Mike is also great! The Band Rocks makes you want to sign and dance. I been going for over 10 years with my family I Love this church

Wonderful church! I'm so excited to walk in the doors and sanctuary every Sunday. I feel the Lord and the Holy Spirit as soon as I walk in to worship! I have learned to put God first in my life all the time now as I should have in the beginning. You will feel blessed beyond measure. Come visit us and learn just how it feels to be close to our Jesus!

This rating is not for the Church itself. Because everything seem ok. But for the sound. The sound was freakin to loud! Like what the heck? ! The base was full blast the music was full blast. You’d be lucky if you leave out of there still able to hear! So for that alone the rating is a 2 star. And not to be seen as otherwise. Turn it down next time. It’s a Church not a concert.
