Tex-Mex Restaurant Chuy's reviews
28Seems covid protocols might have affected food service. Chips weren't warm and the shrimp in the Baja tacos too salty to eat. On the bright side, Shiner was cold and guac was delish! Will be back as soon as possible!
Chuys is the best TexMex around. Danny F is the best server ever and definitely deserves a raise. I love all the food and drink options available and they even have options for religious observances-e.g. Shrimp quesadillas and shrimp fajitas during lent. I have always loved the atmosphere here and the servers and hosts are amazing. Please keep up the wonderful work
Loved it, we ate outside in a wonderful shaded open courtyard area. Service was great, food was great as always. We were visiting from out of town and it did not disappoint.
I have always loved chuys but the fact that they are still operating at a limited menu makes absolutely no sense to me. I was there for lunch in a Sunday which is a very busy time for them and lots of the available tables were empty. Management should take note from other restaurants in the areas.
Great service, great restaurant. The food was spectacular. Honestly if you are in Austin must stop here to eat.
Good place for Tex mex. Food was excellent. Large burritos and fajitas. Homemade tortilla station. Cheese queso dip is hard to stop eating. The pick de Gallo salsa is fresh made and one of the best I’ve had. Despite being a chain, the quality is very good. I highly recommend
Great food as always. Our server, Kendall, was attentive and prompt, took great care of us through our myriad of requests. My Shiner was ice cold, and Kendall stayed right on top of drink refills for the rest of the family. Highly recommended!
Good Tex Mex food, fair prices, powerful margaritas, a friendly staff and a bustling atmosphere! What more could you ask?
I have had come to Chuy’s countless times, I love the food, service etc, but today I’m not sure what happened, service was bad, waited for +-15 minutes for my “queso”, and 30+- minutes for the food, and on top of it, the food flavor wasn’t the best, and my waitress was more focus on a bigger party than my “party of 2”, I’m not sure if I’m coming back,
Make sure to try the Creamy Jalapeño salsa with your chips! It’s a MUST! (If they don’t bring it out with your chips, ask for it- it’s free)
Chuy's food is consistently good, but the wait staff at this location aren't up to par. Service is slow, infrequent, and forgetful.
Chuy’s is an Austin staple. I prefer the one on Barton Springs but any outpost will hit the spot. Note you can order the full menu from the bar area here is the dining room gets crowded. Just like with any Chuy’s location, if you skipped the creamy jalapeño dip you messed up.
Always delicious! Priced well, quality food, great customer service! Tons of outside seating. It's a must go eat. Drinks are top notch too!
Come on, it Chuys, it's good. Unique version of texmex. Consistantly good, not gourmet good, but just yummy.
Of Course Chuys is still a #1 Tex Mex spot in my book! Everything from the Food, Margaritas, Atmosphere and the Staff was excellent! I always make a stop here when in Austin!
Good food, decent service, nice atmosphere, great frozen margaritas with many flavors to choose from.
Great place for Tex-Mex and queso! Their menu is pretty consistent across their various locations, but they usually have a seasonal or trial menu that's really good. Their beer selection is pretty limited, but they've got good margaritas. There's somewhat limited seating inside, but they also offer outdoor seating, and their outdoor area is pretty nice and clean. The decor inside is very vibrant, so a lot of loud colors. It's a cool spot to grab some tasty tex-mex and a few drinks.
My favorite Tex-Mex restaurant! They have a great happy hour with their trunk nachos, but going any time is great. Make sure to ask for some creamy jalapeno to dip your chips in & I'm a big fan of the deluxe tomatillo sauce on my food.
My sister lives in Philadelphia area and this is her favorite place for Tex Mex in Austin. The chips and queso are amazing and I am in love with their enchiladas. So good.
