Chuy's, Plano TX

Came for my granddaughters bday, everyone at the table said their food was just ok, very mediocre, nothing to make you want to come back.

Came in for lunch & sat at the bar. Ordered a blackberry mexican mule - very sweet, it took me the whole meal service to finish it. Nothing spectacular about the tacos al carbon. Grilled fajita chicken was good, everything was average. Cool place to hang out to eat & dine on a budget.

The hostess station was efficient but not friendly when we walked in after that everything was perfect. Our server was attentive, full of information, yet not overbearing. He was the perfect vibe of Chuy's waiter. Cool, relaxed vibe. Assistant managers and other waiters also very helpful and friendly.

A little stingy with the salsa and creamy jalapeno. 2 small bowls for a table of 7. A 3rd of each would have cut down in mess and reaching.

Food was mostly on point this time. Creamy jalapeno, queso, beef fajitas, Baja shrimp tacos, beef fajita quesadillas and steak burrito. Everything was the right temperature and the main dishes were served full of flavor. The tortilla soup was sweet (probably from the carrots) and bland but a little salt and pepper fixed that. Mexican rice and beans also lacked flavor that even salt could not rescue.

Have visited this location numerous times and this was probably one of our best visits here. July 9, Sunday lunch

Super busy on a random Thursday, probably a 45 minute wait. Good food good service though once we got sat. Good prices as well for what it is.

Our experience was excellent. Although very busy the waitress took great care of us!
The food was just as good. It was very hot, fresh and and came on a huge plate which was totally covered. I had two meals out of this. I had the Elvis Presley Combo and a margaritas. It was about $13.00. We will definitely be coming back.

Great food and atmosphere. The New Mexican martinis were awesome but be careful because they will sneak up on you. Their jalapeno ranch is my favorite.

Food was okay, but full disclosure this is in no way true authentic Mexican food. If you like spicy food, do not come here. It was okay for my first time here, but would not come again.

No doubt about it. Bad to eat. Food is in Tampa. But I didn't see this is probably one of the most painful experiences. Can't tell if they just have no clue or if they're new but the whole entire time we were waiting there was no less than 3 to 5 tables available but we still wait in 15 minutes.

Think we had a new server bc she would disappear for a while. Waited and waited to get the check.then waited n waited to get her to pay us out. But that was a one off kind of experience.

Chuy's had always been a favorite of ours. We stop at a Chuy's during our travels and the food and service are always super!

We had a large group of 17 and the entire experience was delightful. Our server Vanessa was exceptionally attentive and we had no issues. All of our food arrived promptly and hot and was delicious. The servings were massive and everyone had leftovers. Be sure to try the mini churros, they were divine.

Update: The food was surprisingly bland. Baja Shrimp Tacos was the only thing that was tasty. None of the 3 different enchiladas in the Elvis Presley Combo had any taste. Surprisingly the Tres Leches which is always great was also disappointing today.

Everything is usually good at Chuy's, but I would specially mention their freshly made chips and Tres Leches Cake. They are outstanding and a must try.

We had a big group, but they got us seated in a reasonable amount of time. We had an excellent waitress. The food was fresh, great flavor.loved their Chipotle ranch dip.used it for our salad. Great experience!

The atmosphere was very laid back, mixed crowd, strong drinks, good food, great service, lots of options and overall would give a 5 out of 5.

This is our "go to" sit down, casual dining restaurant. We've been customers for years. Love it! We've had very few bad experiences. The only request I have is. I wish they would bring back Elvis chicken - it was the best dish on my menu.

There was so much meat in the Tacos Carbone, two, I could have made four and shared. Cooked perfect and came with the usual fajita fixings on the side. Service was excellent!

Tres leches cake is awful. Cake is underdone makes me never want to eat tresleches again. Boom boom chicken - the sauce on top of enchiladas is quite good hence the 2 stars but the chicken is enchiladas is quite terrible with no seasoning, a very pungent after taste as if The chicken was not properly cleaned before cooking. It is way too Expensive for the food of their quality.

Chuy's is always a hot with my family. We were in Plano and decided to stop by for Father's Day lunch. They were incredibly busy but we only had a short wait before we could lunch on some chips, salsa and creamy jalapeno. Did came out quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken fajitas and my son's burrito was bigger than his face.

By far one of the top places for Tex-Mex in the area.
Wait times were pretty low today, though sometimes they get up to a hour or two.
They give chips and tortillas for free before you order and they have a pretty good selection of items, including many vegetarian options. They also have their own boom-boom sauce, a spicy sauce that you should definitely try. However compared to our past visits before some items have since then degraded in quality but Chuys is still overall a great place for Tex-Mex.

Before quarantine, we had stopped using Chuy’s. The food was always delicious but the service had dropped off. We recently began going and I’m glad we gave them a second chance. Service is fantastic!
