Tex-Mex Restaurant Chuy's reviews
19They shortened their menu and they no longer have my fish tacos. I was disappointed. The food was passable but not great. I was not happy with their changes.
Authentic TexMex, Customizable, Delicious and very happy staff, try this if you haven't!
Sauce was not good at all. Flour tortillas not well cooked. Beef delicious.
Beans and rice not so good.
I would not eat there again.
Waitresses very nice and helpful.
Fantastic food and service. We always get a great meal and friendly, attentive service at a reasonable price. The "Elvis Presley" plate is enough food for dinner and lunch the next day. It's definitely worth a visit if you've never tried Chuy's.
The guacamole and queso are very good. The atmosphere is fun, and the decorations are whimsical. We got the mixed fajitas-the meat was very good, but the pepper mix was somewhat bland. A lot of food came with the single order of fajitas-I shared with my boyfriend (and I can definitely eat a lot) even though we chose the single fajitas instead of the fajitas for two. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, good place.
Edit: We came back 2 and a half years later and I wouldn't say much has changed except that I moved to Austin and have had a lot more great Mexican and Latin food that has made Chuy's pale a little in comparison. It took 15-20 minutes for our server to greet us after we'd been seated, but I'm pretty sure that's because he wasn't told that we'd been seated. He was great and attentive afterward. My husband got the steak burrito, and I got chicken and veggie enchiladas. I personally felt the enchiladas were lacking in cheese, and the chicken content was a bit disappointing. Everything was a little spicy without much depth. The lime on the chips is noticeable, though, and we loved them. Food is decently priced.
This restaurant takes orders too long and treated me very badly. More than an hour to pick up the order
Love the "dive feel". Food is always spot on. Service is not consistent. We shouldn't have to ask for the creamy sauce to be refilled. Walk around with a pitcher of it! Also, we were with a party of 10, some got there a few minutes earlier than the rest and ordered nachos. The rest of us were surprised when they arrived and that the waiter didn't ask us if we wanted an appetizer. Good overall.
Good place to have a quick lunch, the best are the fresh tortillas love the quality, big portions, and affordable prices, good texmex.
Allergy alert! Anyone with a shrimp allergy should know that according to management, they fry their tortilla chips (which are served to every customer) in oil that has been filtered along with oil that fries shrimp. I loved their food, but I like breathing even more.
I love the chips with the delicious sauce. The delicious fajitas. The margaritas everything is super delicious.
The best Tex-Mex place in the world! Great choice of all kind of Tex-Mex and for sure the best Quesadillas in town. The staff was super friendly and helpful with all questions and wishes and food came in less than 15 minutes. The margaritas also are great!
Highly recommendable!
Love Chuy's! Never had a bad meal! I love the jalapeño dip! As always a bit loud, but that's what you get going to Chuy's.
I was alone so I got to sit at the bar. My waitress, Abby, was very attentive and always made sure I had everything I needed. The food came out hot and exactly how I ordered it. I was very impressed with this restaurant. I will be coming back.
Chuy's has really gone down hill. 20 yrs ago they were Awesome. Now the food is not good just taste like a TV dinner. So disappointing
The staff is great, drinks are good. Food was kind of off. If you want a true Chuys experience, try the Barton Sorings location.
A local Austin favorite hasn't gone nationwide because it is just that good. Don't be afraid to customize your plate, because off menu is superb.
Marty is awesome. Great food, atmosphere. Service is okay. Chips are always warm and crispy, the music is fun, and pricing is reasonable. I would recommend anyone to enjoy this Chuys!
It's always a great place to eat! I had the Chuychanga with green hatch chili sauce. Perfection! I love the refried beans, I don't know what they do to them, but they're better than most I've had!
Always a great place for happy hour.ask for the CREAMY Jalapeno dip. (I call it the Crack sauce) once you taste it your going to want more.
