Cibolo Center for Conservation reviews
19Beautiful trails. Smell is wonderful. Nature Center is beautiful. If it's around holidays and special school times like prom, homecoming and graduation lots of professional photography happening.
Makes for a nice evening walk. There is a lot to see here in terms of wildlife and foliage. The creek is beautiful but is often polluted from run off. We spotted at least 4 signs warning people to stay out but it seems no one heeded the warning. We saw several maternity shoots taking place in the water, bare feet and all, despite a sign being posted before entering the creek area. I was pretty flabbergasted to say the least. On a more positive note, we really enjoyed the meditation area and the small fortress structure. We saw a variety of plant and animal life including an armadillo, rabbits, a coyote, squirrels, deer, snakes, and butterflies. There are a few stations for picking up after your dogs, which must be leashed at all times. The bathrooms didn't have soap and were pretty icky but I've seen worse and hey at least there was toilet paper! This is a great place for the family. I only deducted a star because the water always seems to be polluted and for there not being soap in bathrooms.
We took a peaceful fall hike at sunset with our dog and really enjoyed the natural beauty along the creek
Beautiful place to relax by the creek or walk in the open plains. See wildlife and enjoy the views.
A little Boerne gem! We love the gentle hikes and open space to play with our kiddos. I can't wait until we get some more rain- we have been missing playing in the creek. For now, the trails and nature center will do!
Great location for photography. Took my maternity photos here. It's beautiful and also nice just to take a nice walk/hike with friends/family. So peaceful!
As a professional photographer it’s so important to find location that is versatile and naturally beautiful. My only word of caution… please respect the organic beauty found here. Wildlife and others depend on this charming place for life and peaceful memories.
Love to go on an outdoor walk, hike, or run this place is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and the ears.
Always something new to see. Lots of shade the creek side. Don’t be afraid to get your feet wet. Hidden Gem in town @Boerne.
A great natural area just outside Boerne. It has a small but informative visitor center and hiking trail. The greatest feature however is just a ways down the hiking trail. There you will find Cibolo Creek. It seems to be a little larger then a creek but not quite a river. Huge trees seem to spring forth from it providing plenty of shade and scenery. The water is clear and cool and perfect for wading into. A great spot to forget about life for awhile and enjoy nature.
Perfect hidden creek for the family. Restrooms are hit or miss when it comes to them being open.
Very beautiful place. Lots of trails. If you are into nature. This is a great place to go.
Went here at night to see some of the storm rolling in and also check out the stream after dark. We were hoping to see some of the native herpetofauna but we struck out, will be coming back to see it again!
Had a great hike here during spring break. Did we get lost? YES but that's ok, happens when you hike sometimes. It was a lovely day not top busy and great weather. I would say to make sure you read the map correctly as we definitely didn't and read it completely wrong! But it was still a great experience and we did make our way back eventually: ]
This place is so beautiful and relaxing. The lazy creek had fish and turtles and frogs all living their best life. There were some of the biggest trees I've ever seen down by the creek and I was just floored by how serene it was to just walk around with my family. I really loved it here and I'd love to be able to come back one day.
What a great park! We enjoyed walking down to the creek. There was so much biodiversity I never expected! No admission fee, although they accept donations.
No maps, terrible signage, visitors center closed on weekends, bathrooms closed on weekends, portopotties disgusting.very disappointed.
Very nice little park crisscrossed with easy hiking trails. Many of the interpretive signs were missing when we visited. The creek trail is pretty, with many huge cypress trees. Free!
My wife and I have been walking/hiking here for years. Our kids love it too. Nice natural trail options close to waters edge. Good chance to see fish, turtles, and frogs. Great for bird watching as well!
