I recommend that you arrive early since after 10 there are many people. Regarding the waitresses, I have had the same one in the 2 kisses I have had and the truth is that they were very kind

We just tried this place…even though it took a while to get in, it was completely worth it. It’s such a cute place, Great food, and absolutely delicious!

Great food in a charming little place. Everything was delicious and fresh. NOT A GOOD SPOT FOR LARGE GROUPS, unless you maybe call ahead. Also, no booze which is why they lost a star in the Atmosphere category.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. It was quite the experience. I went in cautiously optimistic and it exceeded my expectations! I parked half a block away and as I walked up to the restaurant which looks like an unassuming house, I was hit by the aroma of potent Mexican ingredients. As I opened the door, I was greeted by a very friendly waitstaff who welcomed me into the cozy and pleasant dining area. I sat at a table in the corner near a window, where I could take in the whole experience. I was instantly transported to my days as a child sitting in my grandmother's cocina (kitchen), watching her cook and make tortillas. I knew this was going to be good. I wanted to try several things, so I ordered a variety of plates and thoroughly enjoyed watching the waiters eyes get wider every time I ordered another dish. Never one to disappoint in the shock department, I continued to order with the intention of eating everything. I started off with a water and a coffee. I drank the coffee black and let me tell you, that coffee was strong enough to knock my socks off, just the way I like it. I ordered an agua fresca with the melon and pepino flavors combined. This was so refreshing, I felt like going for a run after drinking it. I then ordered an appetizer of chicharrones. Hands down the best chicharrones I have had in Houston. They came out fresh and hot, still crackling and popping like rice crispies but oh so much more delicious! The seasoning was just right, and the combination of being a bit oily with a super crunch was perfect. Next I ordered a plate of chilaquiles. I ordered the verde (green) and rojo (red) mixed. I would have to say that although I liked both, the verde was the star of the show! The spiciness and heat of the sauce was flawlessly combined with the crispy yet tender chips. How do they do that? Combined with an over easy egg, crema and queso fresco and I was on cloud nine! I then dug into the Bandera. A three egg omelette with chorizo inside. The chorizo was cooked to perfection, not over or undercooked but magnificently cooked with the papas on the side. I felt like I was at home enjoying a homemade breakfast. Lastly, I sampled the cajeta toast. I don't even really ever order French toast but the mention of caramelized goat's milk and bacon piqued my curiosity. I was not disappointed. What an amazing combination. Definitely glad I ordered that. After the explosion of flavor I had just experienced, the vibe of feeling at home and the super friendly waitstaff. I had to give Cielito Café five stars! I'll be back, so get those plates ready because I'm going to order even more next time!

Sweet spot for breakfast. Though I did feel the portions were a bit smaller than I am used to. They should add a little more of everything. I totally loved the chillaquiles. If you come here a love a little spice in life you will like them. We also ordered rice pudding. It was very filling. For drinks, ordered coffee, I loved that they offered french vanilla creamer. Not a lot of places normally offer it when it comes to mom n pops restaurants. Now for the atmosphere, I would of given it 5, BUT.parking is extremely limited. There's a parking lot right next door, but it belongs to another business.

We loved everything about the place. We visited Sunday morning around 8: 30 and it was packed. The food is good and there are many choices. Staff was friendly and service is fast. We recommend this place.

Great little and very popular spot. Staff was super friendly. Food was excellent. Had both red and green chilaquilles which were cooked to perfection. The bandera plate was a 10/10. Cafe de coco was really unique and tasty. Spent $77 for 4 people, not bad. Yes, parking is awful. Yes, there can be a long wait if you don’t call ahead (I did, waited 15 min). It can get pretty crowded but the food is so good! Will definitely go again.

The only drawback there is in this place is that it is so small that there is not enough distance between table and table and you also have to wait and the problem is that they close early so everything together is the reason why I gave it 4*
Yes I recommend it but take enough patience

The food was great! But the wait was terrible. The host who took our name down told us it was going to be a 45min-1hr. We ended up waiting 2 hrs and waited at least 30-35 min to get our food. They need a better system on people waiting for a table, and parking.

The good thing about this place is they have a parking lot. The food was good. Other peoples plates looked like really small portions, but I got the pambazo sandwich which was a pretty good size.

The negatives. Long wait time. This place is very small! Inside and outside, the seating is tight and very uncomfortable. We sat outside and had to fight off the flies the whole time we ate. The service was awful. She took our order and literally did not come back until we were almost done eating. I had to go inside twice to get my own water refills. Probably won't come back, but it was an ok lunch, food wise.

Everything good, except the very bad service.
The food was brought to me cold, they didn't even ask what else was needed.
$0 tip.

Horrible experience! We came knowing that the wait would be long but that it would be worth it! Absolutely not. We waited more than an hour and a half without any problem. The waitress who served us was not professional at all. They never gave us napkins, basic necessities in a restaurant/food place. The food took even longer. The taste was good. But it's not worth the wait. We ordered several dishes and they sat us at a very small table. It was very difficult to eat because they never took away the plates that we were no longer using. They never came up to us to ask if we needed anything. Me and my daughter had to share a napkin because there was nothing else to clean ourselves with. The waitress came to the end. I kindly asked him if he could give us a box to take away and my intention was to also ask him for the bill but when he had said "excuse me, can you bring us a box. " he had already left and left me talking to myself, it wasn't an accident, it was intentionally just in case.attitude. When we kept smiles and were polite at all times, despite the terrible service. Overall it was a bad experience and that's it. We just wouldn't go back. But when they give you an attitude, a contemptuous look and leave you talking to yourself.it's the last straw! The food was decent, the service is horrible. Not worth it.

My client's and I stopped by on a whim. This is my new fav brunch spot of the month!
Love the authentic, handcrafted Mexican muggs and the yummy!
The fruit was fresh and the Elote was so yummy!
Great service!
Parking looked to be a bit of an issue.
That was the only thing I would say to take into consideration.
We were in an Uber.

Don't bother going, the parking lot is garbage. Their "parking" area is the backyard which only fits 3 cars, and next to the restaurant there is a large parking lot but it is another business and there are a thousand signs that if you park they will tow your car, even the manager came out to Tell us not to park the car in that area.which is literally next to the house. In short, the worst experience, I lost my appetite.

Great place to eat some good food. French toast was tasty and so were the chilaquiles Verdes.

The food was amazing as a home-style Mexican breakfast restaurant! Caramelo is a must-try drink one should order when first seated. But the long waiting time is a serious issue, so I couldn't give more than 3 stars for the overall rating. My friends and I got there at 10 and put our names down, but we didn't get seated until about 1.5 hours later, and we got so hungry that we barely talked while eating.

While waiting, we learned that some people called in to put their name down.we could've done that, but at the same time, we felt it was so unfair to have some people waiting outside while others called in advance. Well, if you plan to come here to taste their excellent Mexican breakfast, make sure to plan carefully, come here early, or call in first.
