Circle D Transmission, Houston TX

Circle D is an honest transmission shop. I was told by another national chain transmission shop I needed a transmission overhaul when I went in for a routine transmission fluid flush and filter change. My transmission was driving just fine and I knew it had no metal flakes in the fluid as they claimed. I went to Circle D and they performed a thorough checkup and fluid and filter change. They found no problems and the transmission runs great after the routine maintenance flush and filter exchange. I trust them completely.

Circle D is what every transmission shop (or any business, for that matter) should strive to be. I have known the owners for decades, having used their services since way back in the last millennium, and have yet to be disappointed. Also, it is the cleanest mechanical shop I have EVER been in. They should start a How-To service for other shops. Well done, Circle D.

Great people and service, a lot quicker than the dealership too. Explained everything in detail including follow up maintenance after my built transmission was put in.

Known about them for years and used their parts for a long time, first time at the shop and they did not disappoint!

If you've landed on this review, you probably have a 6L80. I've known my Trans was roasted from a time on a Dyno. I spent a lot of time researching where to go. Landed on Circle-D - it was quite a little trip to get the car down there and dropped off. The staff are friendly and Glenn will set you straight on what needs to happen. In my case, I had a later model 6L80, and he told me it will likely need a handful of updated GM parts but won't know until he gets in there. The trans cooler I had on the car, I'm not so sure Glenn didn't laugh at it. It wasn't to his parameters of how he wants that trans to operate.
I went with a Stage 3 6L80 build. I don't have a bunch of time driving the car yet, from the short trip I took before Leaving the shop it's completely different. The paddles shift fast, no flare between shifts.

Brought my 2009 F150 truck in due to acceleration issues. Glenn had it checked and assured me it was a fuel or exhaust issue and not a transmission issue. Reasonable diagnostic fee, and he was right. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Glen and his team were amazing to work with. From start to finish Glen was extremely patient, helpful, honest and wise in advising my build. I was very patient with the build turn around time and they were patient in return. I appreciated every second glen spent updating me on the build and advising added parts. In the day and age of it being very hard to trust a lot of businesses, Circle D Transmission exceeds expectation and customer service like very few others do. They made the entire experience of getting a brand new transmission extremely easy. Constant communication through the entire process and very transparent about what was being done to the vehicle and why. First, let me begin with the fact that there aren't enough stars to reflect the quality of kind and professional service that is offered by Glenn and his staff! After using Glenn's services for several years and then moving to Conroe, a transmission repair became necessary on our 2017 Ford F-150. We took our truck to a Conroe transmission service and received less than positive results. Knowing Glenn and his stellar reputation, we went the additional distance back to Houston for Glenn's services.
With Sherry's kindness and guidance from the office, Glenn gave us an estimated diagnosis of the transmission problems we were facing. Glenn gave us an estimated cost and realistic time frame for the repairs to be completed. Quality repairs were made with proper brand name parts. Great place to have a transmission serviced. I've been a clients for several years now. Knowledgeable staff. Glenn at the front desk is most helpful! Not a cheap place for a quick repair, but you know it's repaired correctly! They stand behind all of their work performed!

Had a great experience at circle d. Glenn and David were great! Not enough stars, need 7 or 8. Glenn told me I needed Pat G. For final tune on trans and engine. At first I hoped circle d could do the transmission tune. I guess I didn't want to drive 2 hours more into Texas, Victoria. Glenn new I needed to take the trip. You came this far do it the right way. Really happy with the hole experience. The Corvette came alive! 667 rwh. Avery buddy jumped through hoops for me. Glad we got it done in a weeks time. Being from Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In my research for fixing this transmission. Circle d s name came up from 3 different shops around the East Coast. To do the fix. To have my car back and running the way it should. It's worth every penny I spent! Going to need rear tires soon.

Circle D Transmission went above and beyond our expectations. Gary couldn't be happier with his 2006 C6 Corvette Transmission rebuild. Also recommending us to drive to Victoria, Texas to have Pat G.due the final tuning was the icing on the cake. When I was told by Gary that we had to drive from SC to Houston, Texas to get his transmission rebuilt, I thought he was crazy, but I'm a believer now that we made the right decision. Very professional, had my truck diagnosed and serviced in less time than I expected. I will never bring my truck to a dealership for major transmission work. The dealership misdiagnosed my truck problems 3 times. These guys get it right the first time. I highly recommend.
