It’s a complete incompetent place to be. Lots of run around, Doctors just come by and say “hi” but don’t have time for any questions. Some of the nurses are just lazy. Don’t want to do anything for the patient. No help for the patient to brush hair, teeth, clipping nails, never will I bring anyone here

Our child was born here and it was an amazing experience. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, the facilities were clean, and our child was well taken care of during her birth.

Horrible customer service. No one actually answers a phone call and they bill exponentially higher than what they quote and expect you to just deal with it.

The doctor and surgery was fine but the staff is vapid and easily confused.

If you have a medical savings account, speak slowly and clearly. They have difficulty understanding concepts that involve more than three sentences.

Absolutely, do not under any circumstance tust the online sign up.

I have a medical savings account with $5,000 in it. I was still charged over $400 for a doctor's visit to my card that should have come out of my savings account. After receiving the receipt and submitting it to my insurance, I was told that it would take almost 3 months before I received my refund.

Now I have to go to my bank and submit a fraudulent charge to a doctor's office. Maybe they're billing can figure all of this out after I have the money return to my account.

All of this because someone doesn't understand the basics of insurance. Not even the complicated stuff. Just the basics.

Utilize this facility at your own financial risk.

I truly hate hospitals and needs, but most of all i have no insurance, is why I don't go. I believe with any kind of insurance you can get more done then with without and the docs and nurses need to get paid. With that said, i can appreciate the doc and nurses for excellent care they provide and getting me back to normal. Even if i didn't have insurance. Thank y'all

The Staff at this hospital are unmatched in professionalism and compassion. My mother was here and her end of life care was the best. They also showed unending compassion for us as a family as we dealt with this horrible time. It did not matter what shift it was, or what position they held. This hospital is top notch and I would refer anyone here. Everything is sort of a blur now, so I cannot remember names, but I love each and every care giver that gave my mother attention during her brief stay here.

Lauren Parker was very rude and unprofessional! Do not recommend dealing with her at all. Save your time & go to another hospital that will treat you right.

The worst and slowest assistance on someone's life ever! We were at emergency room, but it took them to send someone 30 minutes. If you have an emergency, then this is place to die. And they will never bring that person alive!

My nurse didn't listen to me. And gave me 2 kinds of STD medicine. And I went home. My cyst popped on me before I could take my medicine. I'm beyond mad right.

There is no communication between nurses on turn over to new shift nurse! I had to repeat myself/my problems over and over. It was rediculous! Definitely going to DeTar next time!

Shout out to the nurses and all staff on the 4th floor South Tower. The level of compassion, excellence, and professionalism my daughter Farrin Blazejack experienced with Citizens Hospital will be something I will remember and talk about whenever I speak of Citizens Hospital. They kept my daughter comfortable and treated her gently after her surgery. Always attentive and helpful. Your hospital has picked the best of the best to run your hospital. Thank you for hiring staff that keeps your patients happy. The cafeteria was nice and clean and the staff was was courteous and so very friendly. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone at Citizens Hospital for their kindness and concern during our stay

Worst attention by medical staff ever! These people are beyond slow. I brought my mother in at 3: 30 am and 7 hours later we are still here. They prescribed her a steroid which if you ask me makes no sense to prescribe a diabetic patient something that is clearly going to make their blood sugar skyrocket to 400 when it’s normally around 100 to help fix them just for the patient to have to return the next night after taking the meds you prescribed just to spend the entire night in agonizing pain wondering if she’s going to have a stroke or not by “your way of trying to fix her” they pushed us to the side as if she didn’t matter and nothing was wrong with her just because she had been seen the day before! The first hour in the back no one had come in to as much as take a vital sign… In fact the first overnight male nurse that came in was joking about my mothers condition and actually had the audacity to say “sauna sauna Colita de rana” and did the sign of the cross in front of my mother and said your fine. When clearly she was not fine. Her sugars were well over 300 from the steroid that was prescribed to her from citizens. Like really aren’t you supposed to be a team of intelligent doctors and nurses working together as a diligent team to take care of every one of your patients? !? Clearly your staff is failing to perform your job properly here. I’m beyond disappointed with this hospital. We have requested to leave several times from this “staff” that’s having a jolly old time laughing and playing with each other; on their phones; and ignoring patients requests. All they can tell us is her lab results are back but now someone needs to read them. I believe that someone would be the doctor I seen sitting behind the desk laughing and playing with the rest of your so called staff not doing their job. I will never return to this hospital again. Again it is 10: 16 am and I have been here with my mother since 3: 30 am

Unsafe patient ratios result in poor quality of care. Nurses are overworked and can't keep up with the patients as they should. My grandmother being one of those patients.

No wonder this hospital is rated 3.4. I called and spoke to a nurse about getting a script for Antiviral pills for covid. She right away asked what is my insurance. I told her Humana. She right away the me it doesn't cover and it will cost us $250.00. I called Humana and nurse their looked it up and told me it was 0 copay. Whats up with these people. They don't want to help people. They want us to die. She doesn't know what she's talking about without calling Humana first!

Labor and delivery is good, but the er is so bad. Nurses goof off. Er sucks bad. But the labor and delivery nurses are really sweet. The hospital is great too. Food is excellent. I wished that the er nurses cared more about the patients being sick

I brought a nursing home resident with behavior issues in for tests. Darlene and the team from radiology and security were so patient and understanding. They reassured the resident she was in good hands and we all had the goal of getting her the best care possible. They even took the time to tell me I'm doing great and they know that my job is not easy when you have to deal with behaviors. Couldn't have asked for a more caring and understanding team. Job well done. You are definitely the best in the field. ️

Not recommended. Go to the Houston or San Antonio hospitals if you want to increase your chances of survival.
