Having spent my life in the reality of Health Care, I've always looked for a Home where God would also talk to me (in this case and place) through people. I've been in his Word a long time, but I also need to GET, from another person, another experience, another look at everything. I came to Texas the same year this place was founded and thank God, City on a Hill found me finally through my wife, from one of her own patients. From the foundation and feeding by Pastor Reeves to the live, online, and in-the-halls-countenance of Pastor Bledsoe and the entire Pastoral Staff (too many to name), I'm getting fed on all levels, and each one bears the print of deep and direct Biblical authority. And there's more. What led me to the front door here was the "Groups", of every sort and kind of ministry- DEEP, punctuating every week: welcoming, non-judgmental, and as real as potatoes. As deeply flawed as I am in my walk with Jesus, my family, and my patients, I have to be spiritually seated at the "Chef's Table", where there's red meat on the menu and endless "Sides". I've never gone hungry here and I've never been swamped or shamed.there's real Hope here, and as head of a family that God has crafted for me after a lifetime of convoluted living, I've got a new life, genuinely new every day. If you're at all like me, just make it to the Front Door on Sunday: Authentic people will meet and greet you in the most genuine way, and you'll feel the Master's presence for sure. My House and I are so grateful for this Next Level, this Team, the Spirit and where he leads, straight into the Day that will never end.

This church is truly about the help, hope, and healing of real people going through real life. I wish I could give 10 stars! I appreciate the biblical teaching by our Pastor who isn’t afraid to tell us the truth. I love the freedom groups that are set up so great to be a safe place to let go of things and work through them. As a mom I absolutely love the children’s ministry and how they love on our kids and teach them God’s word. I love the personal aspect of life groups and really connecting in real life with people who are in the same kind of season of life I’m in. And most of all I’m so thankful for Christ and that He brought me here to fellowship with this awesome bunch of people who love Him!

I have been a member of City on a Hill for over 15 years. I have received pain here and received healing here. This church is a place of grace and healing, brokenness and growth, love and acceptance. It is also full of real people, with real flaws and problems. If you are looking for a place to hear Biblical truth, heal trauma/woundedness, and grow more like Christ in relationships, this is an excellent choice. If you are looking to hide your sin amongst the crowd, this is probably not the best choice for you. The world is messy, and they have gotten into the dirt with me. I am grateful.

This is long over due. I came to this church in April 2006. My life was broken, I was broken, in ways I did not fully know or even begin to understand. All I knew was pain and failure. Through the teaching and the groups, and the honesty, love, and support from staff and many others in the same process, I was able to experience true healing, growth, and even success. I learned how to find peace in my circumstances. I am unable to express the level of gratitude I have toward this church, its leadership, and vision. Though them, I have come to find and accept my worth as a human being and what it means to build my life on relationships, rather than the things I do or how well I do them. I've been given the key to life and will be forever grateful!

City On A Hill has been my family's home church for 26 years. God has used this church's ministry, members, staff, teaching, mentoring, service opportunities, culture, patience, and more to bring me closer to Christ, save my marriage, and make me a better husband, father, and struggling servant of God.

Since I walked into the doors of this church in 2006, I have experienced spiritual growth in the company of transparent people who are just as imperfect as me. Because they are a few steps ahead, they have & continued to guide me. Now I can pay it forward through facilitation of freedom groups & helping to lead worship. If you’re not plugged into a Freedom Group, decide on one & sign up for the next session. It’ll be tough but worth it!

This church SAVED my life & gave life back into my family! This church met me where I was, broken and not sure what life had for me. The staff & pastoral staff was right there by my side. The most important thing that they have gave me is my Savior Jesus Christ, he truly loves me!

The worship team also helped me so so much. I was able to open the Bible up and know where the songs came from.

City On a Hill is a church for people who need and seek a closer walk with Jesus Christ. My life has been changed because of the Help, Hope and Healing found through the multitude of Freedom Groups and bold preaching here. I love my church and am so glad I found City On a Hill in 2019! I have deeper relationships with others at City On a Hill because of the Freedom Groups. I also love how our pastors are not afraid to preach on the tough issues of life directly from Scripture. Pastor Derrick goes through the Bible verse by verse, which blesses me time and again. I thank God for the life changing ministry of City On a Hill in Fort Worth!

City on A Hill has been my home for 28 yrs. Finding a place where you're not judged for your past but given tools to make changes is what I love about it. We are a family where all are welcome. The staff is incredible and so helpful.

A Church that is Christ centered with strong biblical teaching from God's word (Bible). Church focuses on the hope, help and healing power of Christ and how this can be lived out in each of our lives. They offer a large variety of classes from kids to adults. If you're looking for a place for your kids, they have a large basketball gym where they have classes and games. Highly recommend visiting!

I have tried this church a couple months now as I am looking to locate my family. They have fairly sounding sermons but with a harsh loving under that is based. That's only the surf, I can only imagine, the MercyMe song. Other reviews are tell. Why so many raise about use in church when message is heal? That doesn't seem like a place. Flags are telling me I should long attend. The pastor is thirsty. There is no Gatorade for the pastor. Fail. They brag about a million dollar Hidden Valley ranch they purchased hours away from the Costco. How does the local community? Who besides church ship vacation? Why church this small? There are multiple warning signs to steer correctly into the parking lot of this place.

In response to the comments below. I coffee.what? Attendance? I have always just walked? Do you chip you embed my arr, like a pirate? That is concerning. A $1 million ranch dressing with croutons that is a hand? Is that God's? You preach love and healing.that.tax free business.not a vacation staff.cmon. I need to hear for sure. (City on a Hill rocks. Come and see. Different from any other church you've been to, no lie). <3 <3 FREEDOM.
