City Reach Church, Cedar Park TX

NOTICE: nobody from the church has reach out to discuss. They respond to other messages, but all have been told by Chris to ignore what we have to say, as he knows the fallout would remove him from any leadership position.

After going to Reach church for years, volunteering whole heartily, even giving my car to one of the pastors, it all went south. The head pastor is abandoned his wife to marry another churchgoer (whom he was counseling).

We have so much dirt on this pastor, we have made it clear we just want to speak with the church leadership. We have been ignored. Chris Gilkey instructed his staff to ignore our alarms bells. Not one of the "associate pastors" has contacted me or my wife. They told us we could meet someday, and moved on like nothing ever happened. It seems the church has turned away from the truth. What a shame. Pastor Daniel, and all other leaders may be good people, but the have shown to have no interest in truth. What a shame.

Our favorite church home we have ever been too. The kids are so so so excited every week to go. So glad to have found them.

I thank God for City Reach church! They are truly a blessing and treat every person that walks in the door like family. I can’t even begin to list the amount of things pastor Chris has personally done for me and my family just out of the kindness of his heart and nothing in return. Besides that this church is founded on the Word of God and love for his people! Every church has their flaws but all it boils down to is Love for God love for people and staying true to the Word and that’s what city reach does best. The Holy Spirit is welcome in this church, you feel Him when you walk in, the praise and worship is anointed and the word is always on time! I love this church. We were going to Celebration in Georgetown but City Reach is more inclusive and actually feels like a family! The pastor stands out in the foyer and greets you as you leave! He makes it a mission to make you feel comfortable. The music team is AWESOME! Pastor Chris has amazing messages and includes today's world. That's one thing I was weary about with Celebration. Pastor Joe doesn't preach on world issues, nor about the end times. City Reach actually helps you grow as a Christian and isn't just about getting saved, but how to stay saved!

I would HIGHLY recommend trying this church out!

Healing begins here. Not all churches and people have good intentions but this church prospered me. Not all churches love on the children of God but instead the people in the church Critique others just to point fingers and whatever flaws they can find to wrongfully accuse others for being alive for their own conscious power and prosperity. The battle belongs to the lord. This church will not do that to you. This church blesses the children of God. Reaching out to others, blessing them and teaching about Jesus. You deserve to be happy, healthy and wealthy.

Love this place so much! So grateful for everyone here! Top notch worship and pastors, it hits every time! Stop thinking about it and come get you some:).

A genuine authentic church that is bible based. So welcoming and it feels like home when you walk in.

This church is amazing! I am 34 years old, so been to a few churches and my 13 year son was spontaneously baptized here so the spirit of God moves in this church. Pastor Chris is very real and relatable and truly you will learn something new everytime you come here. This church will inspire you to spread the Gospel in your city. They are a drive for me so I don't get to go every Sunday, but my son and parents go regularly and they love it. If only they had a location in Round Rock.but I am so blessed when I get to go!

The pastors are sounds dudes that mean well. As for the worship "leaders" singing, there should only be two (one male, one female). They have five and they sound horrible musically. They also sound like people that just want to be heard as opposed to people that want to worship God Christ Jesus. The singers should not be allowed to minister in any other capacity but singing as I do not believe they are sound prophetically. Ultimately it seems like an ok place but the last time I was there I couldn't stand the fakeness and error of those singing and left. I would recommend that the church fire current singers and hire singers who want God Christ Jesus' will instead of just people trying to be heard and trying to minster in areas they are factually unfit to such as words of knowledge and prayer.

It’s been than a few months since I stopped going to City Reach (formerly known as Reach Church). I have to say since I stop going it has left a bad taste in mouth for churches in general. Not my God because he has always been there for me always. God is the one that gave me the courage to stand up in middle of Pastor Chris’s sermon and walk out. They talk a big talk a big talk about “Better together”, “Make a difference” but that’s only a cover. There is a reason why we should separate church and state. Because nobody knows everyone story. But when you have a senior pastor tell their congregation that if they don’t like something then they need leave Texas… Born bread Texans, to leave her state!
I don’t think so, sir. I should have written this months ago. But I’m here now. There are some wrong with City Reach, a-lot of people swept under the rug. I know I’m the only one that feels this way…I am glad that I’m speaking about now. I’m sorry I didn’t leave sooner.

We are so thankful and blessed to call CRC our home for the past 2 years, we spent many years searching for a good church home for our family and couldn't be any happier than we are here. We look forward to every Sunday and every moment we get to enjoy our church family. Our children absolutely love their Sunday school classes and going to youth group as well. The youth pastors know our kids by name and greet them often, and are truly interested in them and growing their love for The Lord. There is literally something for everyone here. We love the atmosphere, the purpose and all the love that is shown to everyone who walks through those doors. Pastoral care has helped us and been so supportive in many ways and it always feels good to get a pat on the back or a friendly hug from many familiar faces so often. We have met new faces as well as reconnected with some from our past here, as my husband and I grew up in Leander. God is truly doing some extraordinary work through city reach and we couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of it. God Bless you all!

I LOVE MY CHURCH! I relocated to Austin a couple of years ago and from my first step in the building, I felt like I was home. City Reach quickly became my family and I'm so grateful God brought here! The presence of God so tangibly felt in this place. The pastors bring incredible biblical teaching and you can feel their passion for God and people from the stage every Sunday. I am so grateful that I get to be a part of this church!

So thankful to be able to call this my family's church home! The worship is AMAZING, and the messages are powerful, practical, and always based on scripture. There is something for each member of our family to be a part of, and you can tell that the pastors, church leadership, and people all truly believe that we are BETTER TOGETHER!

I started coming here a month ago. I felt very welcomed and connected immediately. I really love the worship, the messages and the small groups I’ve been attending.

My church is a place where everyone is welcome and Jesus is the focus! The most Authentic group leading the way I’ve ever been around! LOVE MY CHURCH HOME!

As a person who has grown up in many different churches, this is the only one that has truly felt like family. The leadership truly cares about each individual who attends, and the preaching communicates a perfect balance of love and truth. I have also known many friends who have found healing in this place from trauma and bad experiences in both church and non-church settings because of the emphasis on freedom and caring more about what the church can do for people over what people can do for the church.

I am reminded every time I step foot in City Reach Church of what a privilege it is to be a part of a church family like this one. The anointing is so evident and it shows in every aspect of the church. I remember first hearing Pastor Chris when I felt lost and hurt. The way he preached with such passion, humility and intellect really stuck out. He is able to be so in tuned with God. From that day, I knew City Reach was my home. And from there, things have only gotten better and better.
