Classic Clock Shop reviews
61 hour disassemble my Mom's 30 year old grandfather clock. Reasonable price and a very person
It appears this place is located in a residential home! Address took us to a residential neighborhood! Forget it!
My brand new cookoo clock delivered from Germany wasn't playing music and the cookoo didn't close the door after cookooing.
I brought my clock to Michaels home workshop and was impressed with his organized assortment of tools and a large collection of working clocks of various kinds on the wall.
Michael quickly diagnosed the issue with the cookoo. The music was trickier but even that was no match for Michael's troubleshooting skills, as he found the stuck "saw" action (probably the dried lacquer from the manufacturing process) and got it un-stuck.
I had a fully working clock in less than 10mins!
I highly recommend Classic Clock Shop for anyone having a problematic mechanical clock!
The clock repair shop is set up in his home garage, I thought I had the wrong address when I went the first time. The owner seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy. I left my clock there for repair. The repair price was quoted in advance, it seemed a little expensive but is a fair quote, there aren’t many left that can repair certain clocks these days. The last time I had it fixed it ran for 3 months and stopped. The old clock-smith I was using said it was a new problem. It didn’t feel fair something breaking so soon after a repair. I think I’m in better hands at the classic clock shop. He has several clocks for sale in there as well.
Michael is "The clock whisperer! " I have been taking clocks to him for over 10 years. No matter how hopeless they seem he gets then working. He is so popular that he had cut back on the oldest clocks, so call ahead to make sure he had time. But if he does, you will be thrilled with the result and price. Latest clock I took in was over 100 years old and had been neglected since my dad's passing. Michael untangled the weights, for the mechanism working, repaired the case ald made a new crank to replace the missing one.
