*** Update- Since posting my initial review, I got a call from Clearwater the day after, that my claims had been processed. This is indeed true. I spoke with someone for 45 minutes to better understand my benefits and we went through every claim. She was very helpful. I still don't know why it took so long, but it was a relief that the claims were paid and my concerns were immediately tended to. Now I have to decide if I will stay during open enrollment. ***

I have been waiting for Clearwater to pay on my claims since July 20th! TODAY IS 11/9. I pay over $500/mo for single coverage and was told by the woman I spoke to that everything would be paid for except my co pay. She also kept pushing for me to see other doctors that this company obviously have agreements with. I don't think she was honest to me about when they received claims from my provider. My visits were in July and my provider let me know the claims were sent to Clearwater days after my appts. And my provider hasn't received any correspondence since. SAME WITH MY DENTAL WHICH WAS ALSO IN JULY. Clearwater told me they did not receive the claims until 10/4.

Clearwater is My healthcare provider and they saved me a ton of money over the Obamacare I was paying for before. Great customer service.

I really did not want to write this review, but I have no other option because I am so desperate to be heard. I've had a maternity needs request open since January 2023, it's now December 2023. I've had to spend HOURS calling in, tracking paperwork, following up, and advocating for myself. It's been a nightmare and so stressful for me.

I now pay over $600/month for my newborn and myself. She is 3 months old and I have not been reimbursed for her labor + delivery. I am a new mom and not working right now so the $6,000 reimbursement they are neglecting to send me is a financial hardship.

I had a home birth which is significantly cheaper than a hospital birth and is covered under their maternity needs. If it's covered, WHY am I fighting for my reimbursement? I am starting to think this comapny is a scam like others have posted.

**IF THEY WILL REIMBURSE ME, I AM WILLING TO UPDATE MY REVIEW TO SOMETHING MORE POSITIVE** Again, I don't want to be this person continuing to fight, but I have no other option.

It's absolute garbage. Providers do not understand this insurance. As a result, you're left with a stack of un-paid medical bills.

RUN RUN RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!

This is the most unprofessional health "insurance" organization I've dealt with. The customer service associates don't even understand your plan when you call in to determine where to go for healthcare. Billing is a nightmare. ZERO health providers have heard of this, don't take it, and don't understand it. This has been nothing but a headache.

This company is an utter disaster to deal with. They're unprofessional. You pay everything out of pocket because ZERO providers have ever heard of this "coverage" despite going to their "in network" providers. Their customer services reps always tell you something different every time you call in and ask for in network providers. After 13 months with them I have a much bette, easier and cheaper plan to navigate with Zion Healthshare.

SCAM SCAM SCAM! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. This place is a con. This benefits manager, now known as Boomy Health, is horrible to deal with. I had a 100% covered preventive procedure and it has been like 5 months I have been going back in forth between the provider and this company. They ended up making me pay for the procedure and now they are refusing to pay unless I gather more information from the provider. They waited 10 days after I paid to tell me things were not in order. And they didn’t even call. Just a cold email telling me I need to do more work. Hours and hours I have spent trying to solve what should have been a simple 100% pre approved procedure which they assured me before hand they would cover. Now I will have to take a further charge for interest on my credit card for the new delay. Never choose this company. Almost every doctor appointment I have had has not been covered. No one takes this insurance BECAUSE IT IS NOT INSURANCE. Next chance I get I am switching to real insurance.

An absolute nightmare to navigate. All the representatives you ever speak with give you incorrect information. Providers don’t understand this plan. It’s such a headache to navigate.

Clearwater is truly exceptional! Everyone I have had contact with has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Our specialist, Spencer Block, has been amazing during this process. He listened, offered great recommendations, and truly created the right healthcare solution for my family! I am beyond grateful for Clearwater and for Spencer!

This insurance is a scam. No one takes this insurance and I live in NYC with tons of options. I have spent hours pulling together the paperwork needed to get reimbursed for my daughters office visits because they were never able to issue a claim and ARE a provider in 'Network'. No Drs office or Lab understands this insurance. Quest Labs was never able to submit a claim. My diabetes & anxiety medication are not covered by this insurance, so good luck with that. And we are healthy for the most part so ONLY went to the Drs for annual visits because it was too much hassle to find anyone who takes this insurance. I paid $710 per month for my daughter and I to avoid going to a doctor. Thank goodness we didn't have an emergency. If anyone would like to join me in a class action lawsuit, please reach out.

I was really disappointed with my experience. I never write bad reviews but I felt it was necessary. After speaking with a representative who signed me up a few months ago and going over the type of coverage I needed, he recommended a specific plan. I was happy to be saving money on my monthly premiums compared to what I paid previously. However, I was shocked to find out that my claims were denied. I purposely changed doctors to accommodate my new plan. When I let them know that this plan was not covering anything, they offered a different plan but could not promise that I would be allowed in this new plan. After not hearing anything back for over a week, I switched plans and told them to cancel this one. They said they would deny my cancellation. I called my credit card company and told them not to allow any payments to Clearwater. I am now stuck with $1000 in medical bills and do not see a point in remaining with a company that does not meet my needs, responds to my emails, and then not let me cancel.

As a Realtor, I’m self-employed and was using my spouse’s health insurance for years. With Clearwater, I was able to purchase coverage for my daughter and I that includes our preferred providers, and saves me $450/month!

Absolutely horrible. The disorganization is outrageous and it’s not even real health insurance! You’ll pay out of pocket for everything. They confirmed the cancellation of my plan, yet continued to charge me! Go elsewhere and you can get real health insurance. This has felt like a scam!

I am appreciating the savings although my experience has been a little bumpy. I will re evaluate at years end. I did make some hopefully helpful suggestions to the reps I recently communicated with.

Poor coverage. All the doctors I go to never even heard of this company even the ones that are “in-network”. I pay out of pocket for everything.

Updated Review- 5 stars to 1. Although Jake and his staff answered all my questions at the beginning, the relationship went downhill afterward- the facilitation of the benefits - communication and handling of our account was atrocious. After a year or so I switched to a more expensive plan for less headaches and better administration.

Jake and his staff were very helpful! They answered in my questions in a timely manner! I appreciate their time and consideration!
