2 BUYER BEWARE (dishonest dealings).
I purchased a used ASV (only 140 hours) that CLM was marketing it for one of their 'regular customers'. To be fair, I dealt with their customer directly for the sale (b/c CLM referred us to him), but CLM had this on their lot for 2 months, marketing it for sale with their own business information attached to it, and was clearly in the know that this machine had issues!
It showed up with a completely bad battery that had to be replaced simply to start it, major leaks of oil and diesel, missing throttle knobs, it would not move off the trailer due to a safety sensor issue that we're still working on! Who knows what else is the problem.it can't be moved or put to work yet.
We were told that the transport company driver showed up with no notice, so they (in quotes) "didn't have time to go thru the machine again before it left"! Again, the unit had been there 2 months, AND the machine had already been bought and paid for with a bill of sale in hand (!? !). Also, I was given the transport broker information by the owner of the machine who the sales guy at CLM referred us to. Any communication breakdown was between their 'regular customer' (equipment owner) and CLM who was marketing it for them.
Initially, it truly seemed as though these guys could be trusted. Very Dishonest though!
I’m a scrap yard owner whenever I call Clm I get such good service from everyone. I’ve bought new equipment from them always very good prices! I’ve had repairs done always very fair never overpriced or billed more time than it took like I’ve experienced at other dealers. Very down to earth owner I call him after hours and wow he answers his phone! I’ve rented equipment had minor breakdown he got it repaired right away and had us back up going. And David in service what can I say about him but WOW! Currently looking at new 350 excavator will be buying in the next week
I don’t do many reviews but this company deserves credit just not many companies like this out there. Go buy something you will love the service. Or just stay and say hi you will fill welcomed! GARY NICHOLS
