We had Jason and his team redo our master closet. From the design to the installation the entire process was seamless, efficient and timely. We had two other companies come out before Closet Factory, just save yourself some time and call them first. We will be reaching back out when we are ready to work on our garage and other closets.

My entire experience with Closet Factory-Austin was marvelous. It was so refreshing to experience such a well run company with such caring professionals at every level of service. I could not be happier with my garage storage units. Jared and his assistant did such beautiful detailed job while assisting with finishing details that included my input. Monica, who was my personal consultant, made wonderful recommendations for color coordination and I couldn't be happier with the quality of materials while being sensitive to my budget. I just love driving into my garage. Thank you all with Closet Factory.

I worked with the closet factory on two of my closet systems. Their designer, Alicia Collins, designed both my projects. Alicia worked within my budget without compromising my requirements. Scheduling and installation were a smooth process, too. Throughout the process, I was able to get a quick response to my questions. I recommend the closet factory for your next project.

We just had our master closet and both our kids closets installed by Closet Factory. Brad and Sonny were the installers. Both did a very professional job and were respectful and understanding of our concerns and questions. We had a hiccup in the middle of the installation with manufacturing defects. The tactful and professional way that Jason (the owner) handled the issues and helped come to a solution is what truly earned this 5-star review. He contacted me as soon as he was able, came out to the job site to diagnose the issues, offered a competent solution and personally oversaw the completion of the project. He even came out (with additional manpower) on finishing day (today) and worked at our house for a few hours till completion. I’m impressed at the way my concerns were handled and project completed. 5 stars.

Closet factory did a great job for us. We couldn't be happier. We had all our closets and the study desk made from them. Alicia Collins is so detailed, patient and easy to work with. She kept working on the design and incorporated all the details we wanted. She was honest in her opinion as to what worked and what wouldn't. The installer Brian went out of his way to install the cabinets to perfection. Great experience. I would highly recommend it as the quality and the service is just great.

I wholeheartedly recommend Megan T for any closet buildout or organizational project. She has gone above and beyond to ensure our large buildout has run smoothly. She has been extremely patient with us throughout the entire process and is amazing to work with. Megan is an invaluable asset at closet factory! Thank you, Megan!

This was my second experience working with Closet Factory. Jason and Sarah did an excellent job listening to my wants and needs and even made better suggestions with the design. Their ideas were right on.
Brad installed my office system. He worked quickly and paid attention to detail. He was very polite and made sure he cleaned up at the end of the day. Another great job by the Closet Factory team! Thank you!

I was so pleased with the quality and service received from Sarah and her team. They went beyond my expectation to find the perfect closet in a small space. Good value pricing, Installation process was smooth and professional (took a day and on time), very transparent communication over the process and finally thanks to Jason for elegant finishing. Highly recommended!

Working with Closet Factory and Jason has been amazing! Jason, initially responded because I needed a custom closet built. Due to other reasons, I was not able to continue with the closet but instead I decided on a custom bookcase for my office with a reading nook. From my initial appointment to my installation the overall process was seamless and perfect. Ben, my installer was very professional and completed my project in a timely manner. I would recommend this company (Jason & Ben specifically) because they made the final product work worth the wait!

It was great to work with Alicia on our closet installation. She's very patient in the design process and prompt in her responses. The only drawback is that they don't have a showroom in Austin where we can see the installed closets. Apart from that, they were very efficient in the design and installation.

I’d like to say that the people at Closet Factory (CF) are generally nice, and I appreciate everyone who came out to the house. Special shout-outs to Alicia, my designer, and Ben, who did most of the installation and fixes. They were both wonderful. The rest of the process was awful. I left a longer review on Yelp, but Google is giving me a max character limit without telling me how far over I am, so this one is truncated.

The contract was a major red flag, and there were a number of surprises. One was a line-item you have to initial accepting that your finished design may have visible L-brackets. That isn’t something their competitors do, and it’s not something they show you during the sales process or that you can go see in their showroom. They also can’t tell you whether or not your design will require them until you’ve paid the downpayment and they’ve sent the design off to their engineers. If that’s a deal-breaker, you’ll need to beg them to rush it through because normally it takes more than the 3 days you have to get out of your contract.

Next up was the payment schedule. Other brands do 50% down, 50% on completion. CF does 50% down, 40% the morning they come out to start the install, and just 10% upon completion. That means that you’ve paid 90% before they even start work. If you’re not happy with the end result, it doesn’t give you a lot of leverage.

After that, my project turned into a multi-step install that took over a year to complete. There were numerous surprises and setbacks, as well as a general lack of communication from CF along the way.

For the tear-out of my existing closet, I had planned to have CF do it and to use the painter they recommended to patch/paint the walls. (CF won’t do that.) It’s an extra $150 for them to come out on separate days: once to do the tear-out, once to do the install. When I contacted the painter CF recommended, they told me they charge more if they aren’t the ones to do tear-out. So I asked the painter to do tear-out, patch, and paint. I told CF I wouldn’t need that service after all and asked them to remove it from the quote/bill. It turns out they never included it in the quote, so if they had done it, I would’ve owed additional money that wasn’t in the original quote.

At that time, CF was having supply chain issues. They moved their install date repeatedly, which meant I had to move the tear-out date repeatedly (and thus move my work schedule repeatedly). CF apologized and gave me a “discount” that amounted to about half a percent. Yes. Half a percent. The equivalent of getting a nickel off a $100 bill. If anything, that made me more frustrated because it felt like they didn’t understand what a massive hassle all of the scheduling and logistics were.

When the doors came in, it turned out CF had ordered the wrong style from their manufacturer. I wanted mitered corners; they mistakenly ordered shaker. As a solution, CF offered to charge me more money to let me keep them. Apparently shaker is an upgrade, so if I wanted to pay more, I could keep the “upgrade” instead of getting what I wanted. I declined.

For the closet, the biggest issue was a mirrored door. It had a warp in the middle, and it was also noticeably not level when installed. The manufacturer also didn’t put any backing on the mirror, so the reflective surface was left exposed. That made it vulnerable to scratches and impact.

After another month, CF backed the mirror with a sticky white film to get the warp out. They’d warned me it would be ugly, but they said they could see about covering it with something to make it look nice. They didn’t. Instead they told me to get contact paper off Amazon and cover it myself. So that’s an ~$1800 mirror that I have to DIY if I want it to look nice. It's also still not level/square with the rest of the closet, and there's nothing they can do about that.

I know CF did the best they could, but in the end, it was a bad experience, and I'm not happy with the final result. I hope this review is useful to other potential customers.

A friend recommended this business and it was a great experience that should last a lifetime! My initial consult was at their office where I met Briana and was my point of contact throughout the entire process.

We were building a new home and having had custom closets before, I didn't want to do without. I was able to see some of the finished work as well as some of the work being built and it's a very professional set up. Briana made the entire process effortless on my part. Fortunately, I had all the drawings from the house so she was able to come up with a rough idea of what would work based up on my needs. I had pictures from some previous closet shelving in my prior home and she was able to use that to configure something similar since I liked what I had before. Just a note, the other drawers I had installed was back in California which is why I didn't go back to them.

The next step was for Briana to physically come out to the construction site to measure so she could come up with the final design and estimate. I don't even think I waited a day to get the estimate. Super efficient! They took a 50% deposit and there was a bit of lead time but this wasn't a problem since the house was going to take some time to construct. I put Briana in touch with my builder and after that, they mostly coordinated installation together so didn't have to work around two people's schedules.

We had hard wood floors installed so there was some concern about the installation and any damage to the new walls/floors. But other than new drawers and shelving.you would never know they were even there. They even made special adjustments based upon what we wanted. I'm a big fan of wooden dowels to hang from instead of metal bars that typically come with custom built closets. I supplied the wooden dowels and cups to hold the dowels and they installed it all.

After the installation, we noticed one drawer didn't seem to ride on a rail properly. I brought it up to Briana and Holly and they acted immediately to get someone up and repair the one rail. Out of more than 30 drawers, just one had a rail that didn't work correctly, but they replaced it instantly and there have been no further issues.

Custom closets are a big investment, but if you have ever had them before.you'll never again do without. And they are well worth the money! We hope to construct another home in the future and without hesitation I will come back to Briana and Holly. They were always available and often made me feel like I was the only client. Anytime I had a question, they were quick to respond. So easy to work with and quality work!

The team at Closet Factory were polite, punctual, and professional. Their advice and opinions were never too pushy, and they demonstrated a ton of knowledge and experience throughout the consultation and design process. They finished quickly and scheduling was easy - we even got started early. The work was done faster than they said and with very high quality. Travis was a great guest in the house! 10/10 would use them again!

I worked with Briana and Holly to design and install custom built-in library, family room shelves, and master closet. Briana came to our house several times and drew several designs on her computer before we decided. The projects came out to be excellent. We really like these additions to our house and get a lot of compliments from friends and guests. The value and quality of the projects were very good. I could not think of any better custom cabinet and closet design at this price level.

Had our bedroom closet installed a few months ago and we are so pleased! We worked with Briana Hill who was amazing! She helped us choose an appropriate design based on our personal needs for the space. She was professional and extremely knowledgable. She stayed within our budget and exceeded our expectations! Highly recommended!
