I'll be as brief as possible. We built our new home just over a year ago. We had debated building a pool but decided to go with a hot tub. May 19,2018 we purchased a top of the line Hot Springs Grande NXT Spa, Ace salt water system, and the Coolzone. It was the Coolzone that convinced us to go the spa route vs the cost of a pool.

BEEF #1 The salesman told us that there was a defect in the Ace salt water system in that if the temperature is below 95F it stops working. We were assured that Watkins was diligently working on a solution. So far, still kaput. It's been over a year now and I'm fairly certain that a fix isn't coming to me. My point is that if you buy a Coolzone and use the Ace Salt water system you'll be using chlorine instead. Perhaps they've fixed it on new machines but last time I asked the Sales guy said they had not.

BEEF #2 July 17,2019 the Coolzone stopped cooling. I called Coleman Bright Ideas in Fort Worth and the service manager said it would be a week before anyone could come out. A week later two technicians showed up, did some trouble shooting, and declared that "their side" of the system was working fine. They said that I would have to find someone to work on the AC side this. I asked, "no turnkey on this? " and they said no. "We're not licensed to work on ac systems. " The service manager finally gave me the name of someone they currently use to install the AC side of the Coolzones. I thought I had an appointment with him the morning of July 29th. That morning I received a text from him saying that he couldn't make it and didn't know when he'd be able to make it if ever.

Can you believe it?

I contacted the Service manager again at Colemans looking for some support. Once again they politely informed me that I was on my own and to go asking AC repair companies if they worked on mini split units. I actually found a solid company that did and their technician came out and quickly discerned that there wasn't much if any refrigerant in the system. Subsequent troubleshooting revealed a fitting that had a bad braise. This fitting was actually inside the spa connecting into the Coolzone heat exchanger.

I sent this information to the GM and Service manager at Colemans looking for some financial relief. The cost of the AC service visit, diagnosis, repair, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant recharge was $670.00. I'm not happy that I had to bear the full burden of this repair over a defective part that was installed inside the SPA from the very beginning. The response got was, "it's out of warranty you can call Watkins if you want to, here's their number". Once again no support really, you're on your own.

We really like the SPA it's our second HotSprings spa and the Coolzone is very nice in the Texas heat. If you go this route just be prepared to deal with the AC side of things yourself. I don't know if any of the other SPA stores that offer the Coolzone behaves this way with support but BUYER BEWARE and purchase understanding how things may go.

I had a long discussion with James Bryant yesterday. I was able to voice my concerns and suggestions for better outcomes. James did reach out to Watkins rep and they offered some concessions that satisfied me. I walked away thinking that they were going to seriously look at securing support for the CoolZones. Not in-house support but an active list of HVAC providers that will and do work on them. In closing the spa and coolzone are the bomb and you can't find a better product pair. The CZ simply turns the hot tub into a year round pleasure. Thanks to James and Hotsprings (Watkins).

I am amending my rating on this to 5 stars. It was never about the fact that it broke. All things eventually break. It was about the path to resolution that disturbed me.

Coleman's has a good supply of hot tubs and items to maintain them. All good products for hot tubs are a little more expensive than Wal-Mart but better quality.

My wife and I were provided excellent customer service. The professionalism and willingness to make sure we were happy with our purchase of the hot tub we picked out made the entire experience very easy and seamless. James Bryant answered all of our questions and did a fantastic overall job in accomodating us. I highly recommend Coleman in every way!

Spa is great, sales was awesome, Trying to get the warranty manager to call you back for a repair is non-existent. I finally had to contact Watkins directly to get a minor item fixed.

Highly Recommended! We had never purchased a hot tub before and were pulling our hair out trying to understand the ins and outs of all the models and the difference in pricing.until we met James Bryant at Coleman Spas. James immediately began helping us via the internet after hours and once we went to his showroom, he and his staff patiently guided us through the entire process. We felt like we had made new friends and are so happy to know we are in great hands with Coleman Spas!

The entire Coleman Team deserves a huge "shout out" - from Sales (James) to Delivery (Mike & team) to Service (Rich and Robert) and most importantly the office team - Amber & Aime - simply outstanding customer support and service after the sale. Everyone at Coleman is so responsive and genuinely interested in making sure the customer is completely satisfied! We love our Spa and we are considering buying another one soon - Coleman is the Best and only Spa organization we will do business with for our Spa needs. Hats off to the entire Coleman team - Great Job, All!

We received our hot tub (Rhythm) about 1 month ago. We are exceptionally pleased with the purchase and highly recommend Coleman. James Bryant was very helpful with our questions and after the sale support. Our Electrician was unable to make everything work properly and James actually helped him from home on a Saturday night and he got it working that following day. If you are in the market for a hot tub, you cannot go wrong with Coleman and Hot Spring.

Great experience purchasing my spa with Coleman Backyards. Being my first spa purchase, I had zero background on the subject. Worked with James Bryant and he was extremely knowledgeable and very patient with all my questions. Love the spa (Hot Spring Flash) that he recommended to fit my family's needs. They have earned my business and will definitely return for future purchases.
Want to give a special recognition to the electrician (Tony) that they referred me to. He did a wonderful job and his pricing was very fair.

Very disappointed in the after the sale service. Spent thousands of $$$$, have issues after 2 months on my pool. Now have to pay out of pocket more money to your company for a faulty hose covered under warranty, but I have to pay for your repair services fees! Not cool! I do not recommend this business and will not do business with y’all ever again.

We had a great experience with everyone we dealt with in this Endless Swim Spa from purchase, to delivery, to install, to instruction and proper maintenance of a purchase this large. I would recommend the Coleman group to anyone thinking of adding either a Swim Spa or a regular Spa to their busy lives. We have no regrets!

Nasty pushy salesman that have no clue about the features of the products they’re selling. Honestly it is worse than buying a car, at least car dealerships salesman know the color, number of wheels and make of the vehicle their trying to sell you.

That being said the place is very clean and has a lot of nice products. Their sales people ruined it.

I had the most unbelievable positive experience with Coleman Bright Ideas. It is my third Hot Springs Spa purchase in the last 25 years from Coleman. When my latest purchase didn't meet my expectations, they replaced it. No arguing, no name calling, they just brought a new one out that worked to my satisfaction.

The first one worked, it just did't work as good as I thought it should. Some companies may have said tough luck buddy. I can't tell you how wonderful they have been to work with through this process. Robert Aguilar is the kind of person every company needs to build customer loyalty. You can't go wrong with Coleman or Hot Springs.
