Colonia Tepeyac Apartments, Dallas TX

These apartments are the worse first off they are roach and rat infested, stuff always break down in these units, maintenance takes forever to come fix stuff, they keep spending money on keeping that gate fix, but can't put new appliances in this units. I been here 6 years now and I've been having problems with this stove ever since. I can't wait til i can move.

It's absolutely slow and terrible, me and my dad have already sent in the papers to get us downsized into a 1 bedroom apartment since LAST YEAR and my siblings already took themselves off of the lease so it's just me and dad and yet we are still in this 3 bedroom apartment and it's getting frustrating, my dad can't get a job cause the moment he does the bill will go up which means my dad has to constantly pawn things, I'm sick and tired of this all this? And despite being 17 im afraid to get a job because I don't want the bills to go up.

Yoo, Dont Purchase A Apartment Over Here Just DONT. I Wouldnt Even Give 1 Star If I Had To.

I lived there for a year, there was always some kind of crime or firefighters coming to put a fire out, they stabbed a man in his car in front of my apartment building, a newborn baby was found in the trash and it was 90 degrees or hotter outside! Thankfully my neighbor was really welcoming and comforting, they made me feel safe in a way. The interior is breaking apart, the kitchen flooded because the upstairs bathroom was messed up so it broke the ceiling and whole bunch of water everywhere in the living room and kitchen. They’re contaminated with roaches as well so good luck to that and the floors have stains everywhere from the people that used to live there. There was a lot of downfalls and also the prices don’t match the look of the apartment. They raised my rent but they didn’t raise my friends rent and we both worked the same job and applied around the same time but they told her she could just rearrange it in the next year oh but they were so quick to raise mine though huh.

I’ve been raised at this place and I really love it’s my childhood place and the windows keep breaking and the ceilings we black but the staff and owner are so nice I loved them and they loved me so yes.

I’ve been waiting since july of 2022 for them to get back to me after i was approved i called they told me i was number 28 than i called a month later happy hopping that my number moved down & they said i was number 46 said that the reason i went back bc ppl that brought income in got out before me confused i was like but aren’t these for low income smh so than i called about a week ago they say under new management they’ll call me when my number come up it’s an emotional waiting game when i have family with no income & for a twob bedroom be moved into these apartments after 3 months of waiting i was so excited when i got my approval letter now im just drained
