Colonial Iron Doors is the best. They supplied us with doors and windows for a school, an office and a home. Whether it is a commercial application or a residential application, they have proven themselves superb at both. They create a great product with excellent service. I cannot recommend them enough.

Sales team was very good but the installation not. The installers struggled the whole time and damaged things. Poor communication with the project lead added to stress. Should have been fun experience with a beautiful door turned out to annoying drama with issues. Update 2023. I thought I was getting a discount on the door because during the installation they had to cut the frame in half and it was a hardly perfect installation. However just receive the final $1000 bill seven months after the install. Not a fan.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY
It would take too much time to list all of the little annoyances we experienced. The main reason why I just can't recommend the company is that the issues we had seemed to result from system issues, not just explainable mistakes. In my opinion, the project manager holds most of the responsibility for the shortfalls. For example:
1) after payment, wait time was much longer than quoted. Even when asked for the balance, which supposedly meant the doors were delivered, it still took weeks and it seemed like no one knew what was going on
2) project manager did not ONCE set foot on the property, so when the doors were delivered the measurements were wrong and they had to be rescheduled to come back
3) obviously no QC done when the doors arrived from factory, as they came to our house still packaged and the front door was incorrect
4) regarding #2, when the installers arrived, there was not a single person on the team that spoke English. Makes it harder to communicate when they are installing things that aren't right
5) We paid in advance for a specific lock, but the door did not come with said lock and no one knew why
6) We were told the keys would all match our original lock. They did not, and not only that, the front and rear door locks didn't match
7) The glass on the doors was not even close to being water tight. It took 3 times for them to come out and fix it. I would think it should be standard that your door is weather tight, but the process made it feel like they had never encountered this before

The sales team were all very nice, and the installers were all professional and respectful. Each one of these issues added to complexity with scheduling and time to the job. It also gives the impression of very poor processes and management, which would cause me to NOT RECOMMEND this company.
