Comfort Suites Alamo/River walk reviews
13I actually live in San Antonio we just decided to stay closer to town with out of town family members had great experience here clean and spacious rooms.
The staff was freindly, nice rooms a short drive or walk to the riverwalk an attractions.georgia rios was very nice an talkitive every morning at breakfast.would stay again if in town.
Hotel was great.took care of most of are needs. There was and odor in the hallway area just outside of our room throughout our stay. Toilet seat was jacked up.but staff did take care of that issue also.
I only have a 2 stars because the staff was amazing. I think they know the location is sketchy and the place is old and doing what they can to make the stay ok. However it is not close to the river walk and I would be afraid to go out after dark. Its a shame but homeless everywhere. Parking is not secure. Room was dark. Furniture old and in bad shape. Room did. Ot seem very clean. And to top it off a pink bra was in the canopy over the curtains. Nasty. I will never stay here again nor can I recommend it. I feel bad for the staff.
I chose this hotel because it had really overall good reviews but was a little disappointed with what we actually got. We had a group of 4 families staying. The location isn’t necessarily “rough” but it’s not the best either. The rooms are decent but the wall paper is peeling and there was some dry wall damage. The shower curtain was torn in multiple locations. One of the other families had to go get towels, soaps, and toilet paper because their rooms didn’t have them when we arrived. You have to pay $20 to park and their are only a few spots in front of the building. The rest is next to the building under the freeway. The parking does have a fence so people can’t walk up, but is open to drive up. When checking in, one of our guests asked if there was security since we had to pay to park. We were told “no, but we do have cameras and we don’t ever have problems. ” So the same guest goes out the next day in the middle of the day to find someone breaking into his truck. A police report was filed and they tried to get the footage from the hotel, only to be told that the cameras were broken. They opted to find a new hotel and not stay out second night. I’m not saying don’t stay here, though I probably wouldn’t again, but I think you should know what you are getting when you book and not be fooled by all the really good reviews.
Customer service at the front desk was great but our room was dirty as in trash behind the couch and in the little closet. Do not recommend.
I cannot say enough. My co-workers are driving from Houston I got here 4 hours early Amber the extremely nice woman at the front desk allowed me to stay in lobby with bags in all to wait even gave me water. Basically the customer truly goes above and beyond. Great art work and lobby so good energy very classical vintage look. Extremely clean restrooms. The rooms are very spacious. The hotel is excellent all the way threw in threw
Our stay here was amazing, its just moments away from all the downtown attractions in San Antonio, the room was clean and comfortable, great hospitality and they have truck and RV parking in the adjacent lot.
The room itself is nice enough. Just be warned, they only clean every three days that you stay there. We found food in the closet from the last occupant, had to take out our own trash and nothing was replenished. This will not be on our list of places to stay the next time we are in San Antonio.
For the price, you can't beat this being so close to the Riverwalk. It is definitely 2 star accommodations. Room cleanliness was acceptable, but the room was not refreshed during our stay (3 days). Wifi is, ummmmm, not really usable. It is a safe, inexpensive hotel to stay with good parking if you are looking for something close to, but not on the Riverwalk.
Very nice and clean hotel. Parking is a little pricey especially since its not inside of a enclosure/gate. Hotel and decor is beautiful. Will definitely stay when i come to San Antonio again.
A solid 4 stars. The room, beds, and restroom where clean but out dated & wallpaper was peeling off the wall in some spots. The beds where kinda hard but a good stay in general. There is a $20 parking fee "on top of room rates" and the parking area is next to the hotel under the overpass highly not recommended, and not much light. A bad area, but there is cameras in front of the hotel parking in frunt of the hotel is HIGHLY recommended.
