Derwin assisted us from the moment we walked in. He suggested the oatmeal crème pie and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you

It’s a clean and quiet place with really good pastries. I usually don’t like coffee unless I make it but the cappuccino I got was neither bitter nor flat. The guy at the counter was very polite when I mentioned I had never been and took his time to introduce me. I got the pistachio croissant with a one pump mocha cappuccino, all of which was delicious. Wish they had branches near uptown where I live but just another reason to come to near Montrose.

Please avoid this place. They are extremely racist. We went to buy bread and they decided to go ahead and serve another person of preferred race who walked in after us and when questioned why they skipped us they said we were being disrespectful! Unclear who was being disrespectful here.

Hip spot to stop! Good and interesting use of space, plenty of seating, good volume of music, and the coffee bar curves around to the back. They have many flavors.

Like the other locations, this restaurant has a great selection of desserts, pastries, etc.that welcome you as you enter.

I ordered the Brussel sprouts with light honey and no pancetta. It was very good with the leaves slightly charred.

I also like their modestly sized water. The total came to $13 including tax and tip.

Considering how many people are here, the cooked-to-order dish arrived very fast.

The takeout bag is sturdy, and the container for the sprouts recyclable. The silverware set is easy to access in its plastic bag.

The staff here are very nice and heloful, and I would come back again. Enjoy!

Today a r*cist called one of the Black customers an N slur, unprovoked. The victim was understandably upset and was raising his voice as any human would after having to experience such a horrible verbal attack, wanting to let the staff know that they are servicing someone who attacked him. The manager of the establishment handled this situation in the absolute worst way. Instead of taking the opportunity to refuse service to the r*cist, and making the Black customers feel safe in their establishment- she kicked out the victim and continued to serve the person that called the man the N slur. There were Black employees who were visibly distraught over how the situation was handled.
Witnessing this injustice was heartbreaking, and I will no longer be taking my business here. Everyone deserves to go to their favorite shop and get a cup of coffee without being harrassed for just Existing While Black. I'm disgusted and I hope this manager gets reprimanded for this disturbing lapse in judgement.

Because AC issues.

AC was barely working, apparently it’s been like that for two days now. Houston was actually HOT today, Nov 8th. Felt like 90 degrees out. I can not imagine how the kitchen staff can deal with an already HOT kitchen, cooking, baking and the room temps are not even cool

Staff looked uncomfortable and Hot.

Common Bond, please fix this AC ASAP, can’t have this in HOUSTON!

Also, the counter cooler for the deserts wasn’t functioning either.
This is crucial to your establishment when selling cakes, fruit tarts, etc!

Excellent staff and even better service, but I did witness what I'll refer to as a racial dispute in which this stores manager took the side of someone being very racist towards another customer. The black gentleman was even sent out of the store, the whole situation should have been handled better.

Nice place for a quick bit to eat. Very friendly wait staff. Also, appreciated the flexibility with the menu (ordered breakfast items around noon). Food was freshly prepared. Also great coffee!

Loved the food. Our server Angel was very polite and attentive; especially to my pregnant girlfriend who is wayyyy too picky for her own good. I will definitely be coming back again!

Place is ridiculous. $8 for a loaf of bread, only takes credit cards, clearly cater to the local rich Med Center doctors and West U.crowd. I warn all my friends DO NOT GO there!

Last year I wasn't impressed with an avocado cheeseburger I ordered bc I found it dry and bland. I tried this place again and ordered their Shrimp po'boy. It was hearty and pretty good! I would def order again. The shrimp is seasoned but not heavily and cooked to perfection. The veggies were fresh and the pickles were just perfect in this sandwich. Next time I would probably ask for the aioli sauce on the side but it does pair well. I am open to trying more of their menu options.

Great place for nice pastries. Their coffees are nice too. We tried some of their food: The eggs Benedict was good, and the shrimp and grits we actually really liked. Good amount of shrimp, flavorful sauce, and overall very good.

The amazing people at this common bond gave me 2 huge bags of pastries to take to our fabulous nurses and staff at Texas Children's hospital. The food is delicious, but it is the wonderful people that make this my favorite coffee shop in the area. Special thanks to my new friend RT who stayed late to pack it all up!

Shrimp and grits were over salted, only got about 6 shrimp at $18.50, wow! Sauce was too much… My daughter got the eggs benedict and seemed to enjoy them overall.pistachio croissants are amazing however it’s sad that $11 bucks gets me only 2 croissants… I should take up baking to make my own!

Excellent! Everything we tried was very good and the other dishes that passed by looked very provocative too. The place is very nice.
The service started with a small hiccup when the cashier bluntly told us we couldn’t get the breakfast menu because it was served till 11: 00 and it was 11: 01 after we had been in line for about 5 minutes. When walking away another staff approached us and offered to serve the breakfast menu, from there on the attention was great. He was able to turn a negative situation into a positive one. Definitely coming back to try other things.
