What my family and I thought would be a quick trip to purchase a TV for our new home ended up being a complete waste of over 2 hours of our time!

We walked in to a fairly empty store and figured we’d definitely be in and out. We saw plenty of employees but weren’t really greeted or offered help by any.

We started browsing the store ourselves and ventured through the living room sets thinking we may want to upgrade our living room furniture as well. We roamed that section for a good 10-15 minutes checking out couch sets and sectionals and no one came over to assist.

We were a bit thrown off by that but thought perhaps due to social distancing we were simply given our space to make a decision and let someone know when we were ready. We had our eye on a nice sectional then decided to head over to the Electronics section to pick out the TV we originally came for.

A Salesman was kinda lurking in that section with a tablet in hand but we had to get his attention and ask for help in getting the process started to make a purchase. Luckily the TV’s kept our 8 and 4 year old boys attention because we literally entered our information into the tablet over 5 times! I don’t know if this was due to some sort of internet issue or simply employee error but we went round for round trying to get our data into the tablet for a financing decision.

It started off as slightly annoying. We definitely had plenty of other things we could have been doing with our time but we also wanted to get this done and scratched off our list so we exercised what I would consider extreme patience and just kept working with the salesman to try to get this done!

A very nice young lady who unfortunately was at the end of her shift did try to step in and guide our salesman in getting the information into the system. Once he was seemingly back on track she had to clock out. We were hoping she could have completed the transaction for us as she seemed to know more and care more about our time and experience in the store.

We continued to wait and wait and wait and finally got a decision on financing. We already had the TV we wanted picked out and figured we should be good from here and ready to go soon. Keep in mind we’d already been in the store for over an hour at this point. We even took the kids out to the car for drinks and an opportunity to use their outside voices for a moment because they were getting impatient.

We all wanted to just leave the store so bad but we had already invested so much time that we didn’t want to leave empty handed. We kept waiting while the salesman checked inventory and we finally got to a point where we just asked him which TV was in stock and available for next day delivery because we were over it and needed to go. He kept going back and forth on what was available and when we would receive it and then came the final straw! I kid you not.around the 2 hour mark, he told us we would have to start over on the application because it was completely wiped from their system! We went from confirming our delivery day and time to having to start completely over and that’s when we were officially done!

We truly thought Conns would be an excellent opportunity to help build back our credit after an exhausting year as small business owners forging our way through a pandemic and financial challenges that have rocked our personal credit as we fought to keep our business afloat. This location certainly wasted our time; however, the lack of customer service was perhaps the most disappointing aspect of it all.

My husband and I regularly go out of our way to ensure our customers have a great experience with our business, but Conns and their employees couldn't have cared less about our experience in their store yesterday.

Needless to say, we will not be returning. I would rather give our money to a locally owned furniture and electronics shop with hardworking owners and employees than a corporation like Conns!

April was GREAT! She greeted me at the door, was very friendly and professional. She expedited my visit and got me out of there quickly with exactly what I wanted with a much better deal than I expected. I will continue to shop at Conn’s. Thank you so much April!

Staff was very informative and helpful, no pressure sale, just there when we had Questions. I am a repeat customer and will continue to shop Conns! Marcos and Doc Dre were the bomb!

Will never buy from them again! After being sent 30 miles away to the warehouse to pick up a microwave in Dallas. Then waiting hours and hours for a $150 microwave that could have been shipped to me. Shipping was $79 and they required us to drive another 30 miles back to the store to pay for shipping after we had been waiting forever. Never again

Fantastic experience here at Conn's. April made financing a new washer and dryer for me (someone with honestly bad credit) a quick and simple breeze. Very clean and professional. I will be recommending all of my friends and family to visit April whenever they are in the need to finance a large homegoods purchase.

Conn's - GREAT name for what they are, CONN ARTISTS. Hands down the worst experience I have EVER encountered. I have been defrauded. I am on day 17 with no resolution to this issue:
I spent over $1300 on a couch and a rug. I chose to pick it up from their distribution center instead of having it delivered. I waited a total of 3.5 hours to pick up my items. At one point the warehouse employees shut the door and stopped giving people their items. A number of people were waiting and very disgruntled. Some left and some stayed to yell at the closed door and honk from their cars. After awhile it became clear that one shift had closed up shop and waited until their shift was over with the door closed, ignoring pick-up customers. Around 2 hours of waiting another crew is on the clock having to deal with all the irate customers. Someone from the warehouse then came outside and in a expletive-filled rant threatened us all with physical violence. To make matters worse, my couch was DAMAGED. Trying to lodge a complaint against this company is impossible. They re-route you to every other department accept to escalations or a manager, no matter how many times you ask. After my 6th transfer I asked an employee what department I had reached. He said what department do you want to reach. I said No, what department is this and he told me he couldn't tell me, while other departments had identified themselves. The store manager has been extremely unhelpful, saying he has sent emails, but he won't give me a contact number or email for anyone else. Supposedly no one from his distribution center has responded.
Whatever the case is I would caution EVERYONE to not do business with this company. They lie, cheat and steal - Conn's Where We Don't Care

I was very impressed with the excellent service I received from Mr. Phil McStravick. His knowledge of the products and willingness to explain the terms of the agreement of purchase were second to none.

This is my first getting something with Conn’s! The approval was easy and online! I was assigned Marco A. When I got to the store Marco was great and very helpful! It took about 15 minutes to get my account set up and everything!

When I lived in S Louisiana, I never had any problems for the delivery of my items. I recently moved to N Texas and I've experianced delivery of my items has been frustrating to say the least

Other than trying to up sell you costly warranties and charge you for their property insurance, even though we had home owners insurance, we weathered the storm and came away with the appliance we wanted.
Staff was pretty friendly and the location has a good selection of appliances and furniture. Their electronics area was a pretty small though.

I was not happy cause the delivery should be tmw at 2601 mckinney ranch pkwy mckinney tx 75070, they delivery to 189 meadow trl i have sign this morning to sign in the invoice of the new address i want it asap

Overpriced and they don’t fix your furniture even if you get the warranty. Very shady company. Go somewhere else.
