Convention Center Garage reviews
15It was $10 per 24 hours, no in and out. Overnight parking is ok. Good option for Riverwalk and for people in nearby hotels. It's a small garage and can fill up easy. Alternative is Houston Parking Garage. Don't leave any valuables in the car.
Garage was centrally located. I did not see an elevator though and we were parked on the third level - stairs were taken.
Plentiful parking at a great all day rate conveniently located next to the Henry B Gonzalez convention center.
Great parking location downtown & great price. Flat fee of $10 all day. Walking distance to River Walk and Alamo.
Easily accessible and a good price for all day parking, which came in handy for us tourists.
Great location near Riverwalk and The Alamo. Parking great price, you pay for the whole day.
Awesome
Parking spot when in the San Antonio area. $10 cash or card and attendant is always there. Very close to all major attractions and close to all restaurants. Very very safe and just very convenient. Will always park here when I’m in S. A
If you are coming downtown, check the Houston and Travis Street garage as well. Convention Center Garage is convenient but during large events it fills up first and you will be stuck in traffic on the way out. If you park a couple of blocks away, it is an easy walk. You can grab appetizers and drinks at Boudros and be right on time.
What a joke! $10 to park for a half hour and no validation by the mall. Won't be coming back here.
Good location and only $10 a day. The Alamo and River Walk are right around the corner. Definitely requires some maneuvering to get from one floor to the other but all-in-all a good parking garage.
Don't make the same mistake as I did! Payment can be tricky!
Parked there on July 8.
Chose this parking to spend the afternoon at the riverwalk. Conveniently located and covered. Had no problem finding a parking spot on a Saturday afternoon. But payment is kind of tricky.
Had to pay 3 times (3 times $10) and here's why.
Right after parking my car, I headed to the machine to pay with my debit card. Wasn't clear whether it worked or not so I reinserted it and still wasn't sure. Checked the ticket and saw I had paid twice (which was confirmed on my bank mobile app)! Anyways I should have paid attention but still the machine should have been more obvious about it (I asked for a receipt and it would not print, which made me confused).
About 7 hours later I go back to my car to leave the parking. Go to the exit and insert my ticket. The machine asks me to pay $10. I tell the service agent I have already paid (twice) when I arrived. She cancels the payment, checks my ticket and see I have indeed already paid twice at around noon. She then explains that when using the machine (the one you can walk to from the street level) you have 7 minutes to leave the parking afterwards (so you're not supposed to pay upon arrival). Apparently she can't open the gate manually for me so she tells me sorry but you have to pay those $10 again for the gate to open. So I did because I had no other choice.
Overall, I was upset I had to pay three times just because there is no indication and the agents can't open the gate manually (which makes me wonder why they were there since they could not help me in the end. They were nice but could not resolve the situation without me having to pay once more).
I would come back because it is the cheapest parking in the area by far and it is covered. But I will definitely wait to be at the exit gate to pay!
Worth every dollar. Other than the fact that I'm pretty sure I got sick from the food ate at a restaurant and I felt absolutely horrible because I had to walk back to the car and I couldn't sit down for even a second that's not amazing though I'm sure you'll have a perfectly fine experience here.
10 bucks for the day. Easy ay at either the machine or window at exit. Close to main Riverwalk area. Park here and avoid paying double at the other garages in the area.
Not bad, parking spaces are ideal for a compact to mid sized sedans. Entering or exiting a parking level does require some unique cornering skills and beware of curbing your wheels. Ceiling height is a moderate height so make sure your vehicle can fit.
