I am truly indebted to Mrs. Stephanie! I recently buried my mother two weeks ago and she helped me during this difficult time that I had to face! She guided me through the whole entire process of laying my mom to rest and never left my side! She is very committed, compassionate and very understanding of what families go through during this difficult time. I am the ONLY child my mom has and had to endure this journey alone! I never felt more lost. Stephanie listened to my thoughts and concerns, then executed a plan! I’m truly pleased with Mrs. Stephanie and Cook-Walden Services. Even though my mother has been laid to rest, she still takes the time out of her busy schedule to call and check up on my family and I! She takes the time out to monitor my mother’s grave and takes care of anything she feels is out of place! She is a phenomenal woman with a heart of gold!

During the preneeds meeting, Kelsey said the 4 lotus figures on the corners of the casket could be taken off and given to us. My brother and I agreed it would be a nice remembrance of dad; one for our mom and three of us siblings, however we never received the lotuses. We also asked for the background of dad’s photo be changed to a color that would complement the wooden frame for the canvas photo. That was not done, the background was still the white wall he stood in front of.

During the service, Kelsey had issues getting the slide show to work. I was not notified in a timely manner that it was not going to work until I asked her to start playing it. Luckily, my husband was able to help her get it working but it did not start on schedule.

The smaller framed photo of dad was done on very low quality paper. The photo behind the glass had several bends in it.

9 days ago, I asked Kelsey when we would be receiving dad’s death certificates. She said she would follow up with the cemetery in California and let me know. I haven’t heard from her since.

Two weeks after dad’s burial, his grave looked awful; the flowers were dead and the dirt had sunken in. I contacted Anh and she said she would take care of it. That was 8 days ago, it still has not been taken care of.

My family is highly unsatisfied with the lack of technical support, lack of follow through, lack of follow up and the state at which my dad’s grave has been left.

We have been working with Nate for a few months so far and he has been nothing short of amazing! He helped us design a beautiful headstone/memorial for our daughter and goes above and beyond to say “hi” to her and check on her grave the times we’re not able to make it out to her. Nate’s communication is on point, he also helped my parents obtain the two burial plots next to my daughter and that meant a lot to our family.

First, let me start by saying that Joseph is the most amazing funeral director EVER! That man is the epitome of professionalism. He is perfection from the way he presents, to how he manages your loved one’s care and service. My grandmother would’ve been so proud of how she looked and the manner in which her service was conducted. She got everything she wanted. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. It’s hard to impress me but Joseph did it. I had no criticism of his work, whatsoever. He has, truly, earned my respect and admiration.

I did have a little trouble on the cemetery side but Nate helped me to fix things that happened before he was employed here. He joined the team after my grandmother’s service. I really appreciated his help sorting everything out. He did a better job than I could’ve ever imagined. I’m beyond grateful. He’s highly intelligent, well connected and does an amazing job doing what’s best for you and your family. Not to mention, he has a spectacular personality! You can’t help but love the guy. I’m working with him now to continue planning for other relatives, including myself. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’m in good hands and my wishes will be honored.

Together, these two are the ultimate dream team. If you’re on the fence about who to do business with and choose for your loved one’s service, look no further. I can guarantee, you’re not going to find better.

Cook-Walden funeral homes are definitely one of the best in the business. The staff honored my father in the best way by being considerate and understanding of my family's needs. The funeral service and burial was carried out beautifully and was even more than we imagined it would be. One of the staff members that helped my family out so much throughout this difficult process was Stephanie Cantu. She was very understanding and patient with us even during hard conversations. You can tell Stephanie really cares about her clients and considers they're feelings by the way she speaks to them. Stephanie is a hard worker and goes above and beyond to honor the family's loved ones.

The Cook Walden staff during our time of bereavement were exceptionally warm, understanding, and very passionate towards our feels in helping us get the arrangements needed in a timely manner. The person I was most impressed with was Stephanie Cantu. She was the most wonderful to work with. Her expertise really helped us to know the step by step process/details on what was going to happen. This brought comfort to our family in a special way. Stephanie also sold us three property spaces after the funeral. She made us think about how important it was for me and my daughters to do prearrangements. Please share this review with Stephanie, her professionalism and knowledge of the process gave us relief of anxiety and comfort us all. Thank you Stephanie, may God continue to bless you with such a humble spirit and skills that will help many families in the future.

I recently loss my father and decided to have Cook-Walden Funeral Home handle his services. My family worked closely with Stephanie and she was incredible with fulfilling everything that my family wanted and more which turned out to be an incredible funeral service. Stephanie made a great effort to focus on the details that made up who my father was and exemplified them throughout the funeral service from his burial plot to his spectacular vault. I couldn’t be more pleased by the way my father was laid to rest. Although my father’s funeral service was overall outstanding, there were some issues that I experienced leading up to his funeral. Two days before his funeral I stopped by the funeral home and noticed my father’s picture nor his gravesite service were mentioned on the welcoming screen unlike the rest of the funeral home’s clients. To be honest, this was quite disappointing since my father’s funeral is less than two days away and my family has worked their hardest in fulfilling all that has been requested from the funeral home financially to give my Dad an honorable service. We were told numerous times from staff that it would be updated but did not see a change until the day before which is greatly saddening and unsatisfactory.

Pre planned my father’s funeral and Stephanie was a real big help. She took her time and guided me through the process. We had a very nice chat and I appreciate the kindness and compassion of Capital Parks Funeral home to take care of my loved one.

First things first - Nate was empathetic and respectful from the moment my mom and I walked in and throughout the several visits this process takes. For anyone else who has been through this before, you know that this is rarely the case. Somehow the folks that work at the cemetery and funeral services see this as a job and don't realize that this is the worst day in our lives. But Nate got it and he treated us accordingly.

Nate was also prepared. When Mom and I walked into the room, he had the printed contracts, deeds, etc. He was familiar with our family's details and how he could best help us. Again, those who have been through this before will know how VERY rare that is.

Lastly, I will bring up Nate's thoroughness to help us understand our options and decide on the best option for our family. He did not pressure us or make us feel uncomfortable, he simply laid out the options and let my mom and I decide. Another rare trait in this industry.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nate at Cook-Walden Capital Parks, and I know you will too.

Edit: After seeing the review below someone from Dignity contacted me, traveled to the location where I had a problem and investigated what went on. The person from Dignity (Kyle) was professional, helpful, and did get the issue resolved. However, the location never closed the loop with me and did not apologize either to me or to the widow involved. This is the only Dignity location I have had a problem with, and even after this issue was resolved I would still be very apprehensive to use this location.

Orignial Review: They charge you for things and pocket the money. They charged a widow for an officiant’s fee. Never paid the officiant. Never refunded the widow. Never responded to the officiant’s multiple calls calling for them to refund the widow. Beware.

10 out of 5!

We were blessed to have such wonderful team members at Cook Walden who helped support us during the funeral of a recent loved one. We spoke to a few throughout the experience but Tracy and Kazia were our main point of contact for the pre and onsite funeral logistics.

This was our first experience with a loved one's death and they truly made the funeral process seamless and relaxing. We were able to be present during the funeral, without having to think of anything.

The workers and extra support from the gentleman who we often saw at the front door welcoming guests in the building were with us onsite and supported us with taking our flower arrangements to the site and didn't rush us through any step or process.

This doesn't truly reflect the incredible experience we had but hopefully it allows others to read about how incredible the team is and how accommodating everyone is at this cemetery location!

THANK YOU ALL.
