Cooper MMA reviews
15My son was super happy and loves Muai Thai, but since moving some weeks ago, they don't let you know if a class is canceled. I'm tired of getting there for the place to be closed. Considering finding somewhere else to take him and his friend.
Great training in a clean environment with positive energy. No egos, just everyone pushing each other to reach their goals.
For some time I tried to find a martial arts school for my sons. I also have good experience in martial arts in the past and I knew what I wanted to find
So COOPER MMA ranked first
My guys have been studying here for six months. Due to the move, visits have so far been suspended.
But I think we will most likely be back
So, a great team of trainers
Coaches do a great job with children and are great at motivating them. Motivation during training is one of the most important things.
Friendly environment
Qualitative form
There is the necessary equipment
Best gym I've ever been to, staff is super friendly and have always been kind to me and anyone apart of the gym as well. No complaints whatsoever.
Amazing gym for adults, kids, beginners and pro competitors. Cooper MMA has something for everyone, with world class instructors for BJJ, Muay Thai and MMA. I have been training MMA for 7 years and wanted a place that was safe, fun but also legitimate to enroll my son and I. After trying one class, I enrolled my 6 year old in Kids BJJ/MMA and it has been an amazing experience. Coaches are super kid friendly, but also train actual positions/submissions and encourage technical skills instead of just being a daycare. Super safe, and clean environment.
Had a great time in the BJJ and Muay Thai classes. People at the gym are super welcoming and willing to help all people at different skill levels. Would recommend to friends and family.
Poor communication, they are quick to take your CC, but won't communicate back if you want to cancel.
Cooper MMA is a great place to train martial arts in Austin, Texas. They have the best instructors for Self-defense, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing, Judo, and Wrestling. Sean Cooper is a very caring individual and focuses on using his gym to promote discipline, respect, and positivity into people's lives. I have been training here for 2 years and it is a friendly environment and great place for beginners and veterans alike. It has a great children and kids program, womens, and competitive fighters programs. Everybody is very helpful and you will learn a lot from all the great coaches. Cooper MMA is a awesome place if you want to compete, pick up martial arts for a hobby, learn self-defense or just get a good workout in and have fun!
I'm a professional fighter with 12 years of experience. I've been training at Cooper MMA for 4 years and have never had this level of quality of not only training, but just people in general. The gym is spotless, cleaned often, fogged with GermX, and there are no egos to speak of. This is a great environment to train in!
Very friendly staff and trainers, and very knowledgeable. Very open floor, lots of room to spread out. Easy to come in, not knowing anything and they are very welcoming, highly recommend this place!
I walked in today to start the free trial and I have never been ignored so hard. At this point I’m not even sure if the woman at the front desk actually worked there lol. I walked up and said hi how are you and looked at her. She just looked down at her dog. I said oh cute dog. She didn’t look or speak to me for probably 5 minutes while I stood there looking at her. I eventually felt so awkward I just left. I got to my car and started laughing I’ve never had an experience like that. I’m shy so this might not be a big deal for others but I thought it was so surprising and odd I had to write about it.
I love training jiu jitsu with Sean Cooper! I have been coming here for nearly 11 years. He is very knowledgeable and open to questions etc.
I have been training here at Cooper's for over a year and it has been a great experience. The gym is very clean and the owner is very welcoming. It also has the most variety of classes out of any other gym I've trained at over the last 10 years. Definitely recommend.
I have been a member since 2010 and can attest to the impact Cooper MMA has had on my life. This gym has it all! Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA, Judo and boxing. But, what makes this gym great is the culture and leadership. Great training partners and all around good people here.
I have trained here several times and highly recommend this gym. I have enjoyed all the classes and the training partners are great. Everyone tries to help you get better, instructors and students both. I love the jiu jitsu class and heard from others that the boxing, Maui Thai, and judo classes are great too.
