I love everything about the Cornerstone Martial Arts & Leadership Academy! Mr. Westbrook knows how to earn respect from his students while making the learning really fun for them. My daughters have been developing self-defense skills and disciplines for last three years with the school. I am amazed how this school is creating impact on my daughters overall development to become valuable members of the society.

My son has been coming here for several months now and he loves it! The instructors are very patient with the kids, especially when they are new. I love that they focus on character building for each individual, and that they teach them discipline. They do fun activities for them throughout the year as well as holiday parties!

I took a self defense class with my friend Tiffany Vargas. She insured me that after the class I would walk away with the knowledge of knowing how to protect myself in case of any serious situation were to arise. She has been attending Cornerstone for almost 2 years and tells me how great and I’m powering it is!

We learned basic techniques that can get anyone out of a serious situation. Mr. Westbrook taught our class and he explained each move and step in simple terms. Tiffany Vargas has been studying to become an instructor and I have noticed that her confidence has skyrocketed in these last 2 years.

This is an awesome school for beginners like myself as well as the already experienced. I suggest that everyone take a self defense class at least once. You will not regret it!

I took a self-defense class at Cornerstone with my friend Tiffany Vargas. She has been going almost 2 years and is studying to be an instructor. We learned a lot of basic and quick techniques to get out of serious situations that could actually happen in real life. I found it to be very beneficial and would absolutely recommend everyone take a class here. Mr. Westbrook taught our class and made everything easy to understand. Tiffany has definitely grown stronger and more confident since she has been a student and she even teaches us simple techniques when we see each other.

Cornerstone has positively changed my life and that of my family. A family that kicks together sticks together. We are all healthier and more confident from the lessons we receive each day. Jo Kyo Vargas is so patient and understanding. She breaks down every stance and every form to a level that is easy to understand and then expands on it by showing how it translates to other forms and stances. The entire staff is so genuinely helpful and they all deserve all the respect in the world. It is an honor and a privilege to get to train under them and the pride that comes with being in the Cornerstone family is palpable. I recommend Cornerstone to anyone who wants to better themselves and join a team of individuals who care about you regardless of your race, nationality, gender, or orientation. The best adult karate program around. In searching for a school for my family I found Cornerstone. I was looking for a clean, professional, welcoming, school that not only emphasized the physical aspect of the martial arts but the mental as well. What I found here was more than I could have ever asked for. Cornerstone is great for families and singles alike. For those adults out there thinking karate is for kids…it is and it isn’t. Come check out our action sparing class on Friday nights to SEE what our Cornerstone Adult students have going on (or one of the multiple adults only classes offered) it will not disappoint!

My husband and I signed both of our children up at Cornerstone in November of last year, and it really has been one of the best decisions we’ve made! Our kids love coming and not only having fun, but gaining skills and TONS of confidence! The staff and everyone have welcomed us with opened arms, and it feels like joining a new family! My husband is joining now as well, and is so excited!

This is the best place to bo bring your kids to learn how to defend themselves and also learn how to improve their self esteem and high level of discipline. They have dedicated instructors who are ready to work closely with each kid to bring the best out of them, they treat each kid as an individual. I have been here for only a month and have realized tremendous change in my daughter. I recommend this school to any parent who is interested in helping their kids cut off screen time as well as develop personal skills. Come join us and you will never regret.

I was a little bit skeptical if my kids would like it, but to my surprise they love it. They are very different kids from when they started. I have been so pleased with my time at Cornerstone over the last year and a half. After bringing my daughter for a while I decided to join myself. The instructors (especially Mr. Westbrook) make me feel like family and the community makes me feel like I am part of something. I am very excited about my martial arts journey. All the teachers are great here and they all have there own style of teaching. The classes are all different as it is based on the child’s age and development. This style of martial arts and this school specifically helps the kids learn patients, listening skills, discipline and etc. There goal is to help the child succeed and learn!

My family and I have been learning at Cornerstone for almost 5 years. We have gained strength physically and mentally. My boys and I have a community at Cornerstone that no other activity has provided. We are beyond thankful to be a part of the journey.
