Costco Vision Center reviews
16 This was the worst experience ever, my appointment was at 930 and wasn't even approached until 1030, then the doctor proceeded to yell at me because I forgot my glasses. This is the most unprofessional poorly ran optical
Center I have ever been to. If I could give it a zero I would. ABSOLUTELY A JOKE
I’ve not ordered glasses from them, but my eye appointment was a dream. Friendly service, great care & no wait!
Kept the appointment for a week before waiting until last minute to say they don't accept eyemed.
I have no idea how there could be any low ratings here. They are the best! Extremely thorough and patient and a pleasure to deal with! I won’t go anywhere else again.
I recently ordered a pair of eyeglasses from this location. I feel something wrong when I try it on since my vison was blocked when I look left or right. I compare it to my current pair and a few old glasses and realized that Costco vision didn’t trim the edge of the lens. The edge of my lens is always thick coz of the high prescription. I spoke to few employees over there and they told me its lab doesn’t have such capability to trim the edge but I can return the frame instead of the lens. Why should I keep a lens which would mess up my vision, probably could cause accident in the future?
Without a doubt the worst place I’ve ever ordered glasses from.the glasses came with Crockett frame and when I asked them to change it they said you can always adjust it for free. The lenses that they used was the cheapest one in market which was not even high index. For $235 that they charged me
I could get a great glasses form WP or any other brand.
The optical exam adjacent to the store was fantastic. Optometrist was top notch. Optical department in the store was also excellent. They answered the phone every time I called. The "lab" is in California, so delays in orders may not be the fault of the store, or even the lab. My latest lens did not pass QC at the lab, so they started over. QC is a good thing, even if on occasion it causes delays. Quality of lenses has always been excellent.
They never answer their phone. You can call 1,000 times, but you’ll never get an answer. Take your business elsewhere.
The service was a joke. They told me my glasses would be ready and they will call me, but they never called me back. And I called them they said they don’t have it? I’m like?
I went in for an eye exam (Greenway Eye Care) and it was excellent. I made an appt by phone on a weekday afternoon. There wasn't a wait. I am a glasses and contact lens wearer, and wore my glasses to the appt. I also brought my old prescriptions.
They have a OPTOS imaging machine to take photos of your retina instead of the typical eye dilation (keep in mind that I dont have any eye problems, but if you do, dilation may be needed!). I could also get images of my retina emailed to me. I do like the fact that if I change eye care providers, I can have this image on file to show them and can somewhat keep track of changes in my eye health (I am at risk for eye disease in my family, so this is important).
I don't have eye insurance, so the cost of the exam (with OPTOS) + contact lens fitting was ~$145 out of pocket (you can ask for the price upfront). Be sure to ask about cost when getting the OPTOS procedure, there may be a different cost associated with insurance.
The optometrist was very nice and helpful, and she answered a lot of my questions related to my eye care. Overall, a quick and pleasant experience and I'd recommend.
I have never had a negative experience at this optical location. Cynthia the manager has been extremely helpful outifitting our whole family and helping us get good deals using our insurance. Good deals on 2 for 1-And I get a ton of compliments on my frames - people are always super surprised that i got them a Costco. ;) They have always told me my glasses will be in within 10 business days and they always have been. They text you when they are ready.
Ordered a pair of glasses almost 3 weeks ago but still don't have them. They came in after the 7-10 days they say it takes but there was a giant and deep scratch in one of the lenses. I had to return them. When I brought the scratch to their attention, the person was visibly irritated and didn't apologize for the condition of the lenses. Maybe it's not their fault the glasses were scratched but it was a pretty poor service encounter. Now I'm waiting for another 7-10 business days to get them back. It's pretty annoying.
I am reviewing the Greenwayeyecare, as Costco vision center actually had different doctors year by year, the clinic which was two or three years ago was awesome.
Anyway, the geenwayeyecare, which is the new one in 2017, only carries two types of contacts for me to try, that`s joke, yes if these two types don`t fit you (like if you have dry eye or flat cornea), too bad your money is wasted here! They should have told me before I decided to do my contacts fit test and paying. This is a scam, stay away.
Their service is a joke. We ordered a pair of glasses they said it will be 4-5 business days. After a whole week we went there as no one called, we had to wait for half an hour and they gave as a used pair or probably the ones on the show shelves that look disgusting. Out of a sudden, that model that we ordered was out, so what about another 15 minutes of waiting until I got it canceled.
I have lost my glasses several times and I can honestly say these folks work hard and are good folks and always honest each time I purchase a new pair
No one answers the phones, and the answering machines "have not been initialized". Schedule in person, I guess.
