Country Home Learning Center, San Antonio TX

I believe every parent has a right to their opinion when it comes to the quality of care their babies receive. My daughter has been going to this daycare for nearly 2 years (18 months- and now almost 3). I have nothing but positive things to say about this daycare when it comes to how they love my baby. Any concern I’ve had I have been able to raise and have resolved. My daughter loves this daycare which is why no matter where I work I am always sure i factor in being able to bring her to where she's not only comfortable, but find a home away from home. Each class she bonds with her main teacher and I feel like she is loved. The teachers treat my daughter so well, not because it’s their job or because as a parent I would lose my mind, but because it is in their character. I was nervous about being able to potty train my baby since it had been 6 years between having my second child and Ms. Karen understood that that didn’t mean I wasn’t trying, and it didn’t mean I didn’t care, but only that I needed help. After 2 weeks in Ms. Karen’s class my baby was potty trained at 2 and had had no accidents on herself since. It is my belief that the experience you give is the experience you get. Even when I get irritated I maintain respectful, my child is respectful and my approach to reaching a resolution is always respectful. None of these teachers operate out of spite or vengeance and it is not their job to coddle us through our separation anxiety but they do. As a African American mother I was fearful of finding care for my daughter because I didn’t want her to be mistreated, I am glad I trusted this daycare because I don’t see that my daughter would be happy anywhere else. My daughter can count, knows all her numbers, and can sing her abc’s (not clear for all the letters lol) but she is striving towards greatness. As a working mother I often feel guilty for not being able to take credit for her academic success, I truly owe it to country home that my baby is so smart and willing to learn. If you have reservations be calm, be patient and you will see why these babies love calling country home their home. I look forward to many more years with country home learning center on poss rd. Country home was my daughter’s first daycare so you can imagine it was hard for me to leave her, in the beginning I had no issues but after awhile my daughter would come home with bite marks (which I was notified) scratches and other scuffles, my daughter also had a splinter stuck in her shoe and when I picked her up mind you she’s 2 she told me about it and was limping, my concern was that if she told anyone about it no one noticed and didn’t take the time to see what was wrong with her because they didn’t tell me, the kids were promised or us as parents that during the summer they would go out and get wet in their splash pad, that only happened once or twice and the teacher told me she wouldn’t take them out because she didn’t have any help, this was a constant thing, my daughter was coming home sick all the time, teachers would have COVID around the littles and didn’t wear a mask because they didn’t have to … my daughter caught hand foot and mouth only because they weren’t cleaning the kids area like they were supposed to and the only reason I knew this was because the teacher would tell me, they never updated me with how my daughters day was going or if she was even learning anything.towards the end my daughter hated the place didn’t want to go inside and would fight me to leave her again she was 2, front staff seemed helpful always respectful but I don’t think they worked hard enough to assure me my daughter was ok … found a new daycare that updated me with pictures and times that my daughter is actually learning. As a first time daycare mom I wouldn’t choose country home take them somewhere else

The teacher said kids were fighting but I don’t think so! Even though why she let them fighting (there were only 2 kids at that moment) I don’t believe her. I don’t trust them anymore and im moving my kids out.

My daughter has been attending Country Home since she was 7 weeks old (she’s almost 2). She’s an only child so I was happy she would get to interact with other kids. When they moved her to a different class because of her age, she was moved up with the same kids her age so there was always familiar faces for her. It made the transition easy for her and gave me reassurance. They have an outside and indoor play ground which she loves going to, and I love collecting the art that she brings home. I can not thank them enough for the care they provide for the children! Great facility.

Country Home (Poss Rd) has been absolutely a blessing to our family! We are not from San Antonio, and have no family here. We placed our son here at 6 months after a horrible experience with an in-home childcare provider. We were very reluctant and nervous parents, but Country Home welcomed us with open arms. They have quality staff that cares, and have nurtured our son. Ms. Rhonda is the best! She is always walking around the building, and takes the time to get to know the child and parents. Our son is now 3 years old, and he loves his friends, teacher (Ms. Jessenia), and the learning activities. I would highly recommend this facility.

Great school, my nephew loves it. When I drop him off he runs to his classroom and forgets that I’m even there.

Great center with so many activities and dedicated teachers. Every time my child has moved to a different age group the teachers have been great. And the few concerns I have had have been dealt with and fixed as soon as I spoke to the front desk. I would recommend this childcare to anyone looking for a place for their children. My child is 4 and has been there since 14 months.

My daughter attended country home from birth until 4 yrs old. We had a great experience here and she loved all the activities they provided.

I am extremely pleased with the strong ethic the school displays in their everyday environment. I have never met a friendlier staff and I am very blessed to have them as part of my children's life.

We love the Country Home on Poss Road! The front office staff is always ready to greet you with a smile and willing to help you get your day started in a positive way. The teaching staff is friendly! I love the daily schedule and activities they have to get your child engaged and prepared for the next milestone or school.

Staff is amazing! My boys are always raving about their activities and teachers. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

I am extremely impressed with the amount of professionalism, friendliness and compassion the staff displays. I feel extremely comfortable knowing our children are beyond taken care of. This location is amazing! The school is clean, the staff is friendly and the administration is helpful. The staff has worked extremely hard during the pandemic to ensure the health and safety of the children while maintaining the fun learning environment.

Very comfortable with leaving my kids here, amazing service and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to leave your kids without second guessing if they're in good hands. The staff is amazing and make you feel like you're company not just a client. HIGHLY recommend!

My grandson attended this center and they exceeded our expectations. Sadly we moved to Corpus and no other center has compared to the care and friendliness ever since. Highly recommend.

Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. It’s wonderful seeing our daughter get excited about going to daycare here. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualized way. The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment. We’re very thankful to Country Home Learning Center and the entire staff for all they do for our daughter!

This is an amazing school, regardless of what you might see posted on the reviews. Staff is amazing, children are well taken care off. Kids will grow and become more independent if we allow them too.
