Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, New Braunfels, TX

Great as usual for a Country Inn.
I have been on the road for 5 months, and Radisson and Country Inn are my preferred choice.
This Country Inn has the same great service, very clean, great staff, gym etc as every other Country Inn I have occupied across the country.

I'm glad I followed my intuition and stayed at this hotel. Don't be fooled by the outdated reviews because I found none of them relevant to my stay. Staff was friendly and room very clean! Great value and location definitely check out Rudy's nearby for some amazing BBQ!

The room was semi clean. It is roach invested. But was warned by the front desk before hand. I killed 2 in the 2 days we stayed. No breakfast available. Don't look under bed. Yikes! Just keep your belongings in the vacuum clothes bags.

The room was ok. Nice on appearance as you walked in, but as we started putting stuff in the mini fridge we noticed it was really froze up. By midnight the fridge started melting and left a puddle. This happened twice. The hair dryer was full of lint on the back and sparked a little so I stopped using it. The people upstairs were stomping around like elephants at all hours of the night, and the floors have no sound barrier since they aren’t carpet. The walls behind the lamp area were covered in dust. Just really not what we expected for how much we paid. Try and go stay next door, higher quality hotel for the same/similar pricing.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The room is very spacious and clean. There's a fridge (no freezer), a microwave oven, and a single serve coffee maker. Location is great. Just off I-35 and very close to amenities: restaurants and other places. Although it's still more convenient (and safer) to drive instead of walking.

My fiancé and I decided to go on our first trip together without family on July 23rd-25th.

First night we get there and my fiancé took a shower and said be careful getting out that the tiles are slippery with the water when getting out.

Our room did not have a slip mat at the time. Around 10pm I took a shower and ended slipping and busting my elbow through the shower floor as I stupidly tried to catch myself from falling.

The lady at the front desk came up to our room for the first aid kit to help. But said to come downstairs in the morning when a manager was in.

Spoke to a gentleman who said he was the manager on duty and heard about the fall, had me sign a accident report (which should have been done when the accident happened) he informed me that I need to go to the hospital and get checked out and that the hotel would pay for it and to bring back the paperwork from the hospital.

We go to the hospital I had extreme bruising on my arm, deep extreme bruising on my rib cage and rids. Had to get extra oxygen for a hour as the fall caused myself to had a hard time breathing. It’s been about 2 months since the accident and I’m now getting letters saying the bill needs to be paid. Every time I call the hotel I get the runaround and how the GM isn’t in and he would call me back the next day, I ask for the email and phone number of the GM and get told each time he either doesn’t have one or I can not have it but I’ll be dealt with.

I’m still stuffing from the healing of the bursting ribs and it’s causing me physical issues sometimes. I haven’t thought about suing but I’m getting to the point of suing.

The hotel keeps saying it’s my fault that I fell because the floor is slippery and I have asked for a shower mat which I was give the shower mat after I fell and they also didn’t give us a few room so we were dealing with a shower that had a hole on the ground.

There was no remote, then we had front desk visit three times trying to set a remote up. Late find out volume buttons don’t work, next day front desk guy just hands me another random remote, no surprise the remote doesn’t work. The room looked really gross. The bathroom would flood with one shower. Bad frame outlets made a horrible ticking sound and was just told to move the table and unplug it, but it was so gross behind that table. There was old food in the fridge. There were no real plates and cups like the pictures show. The cups for juice with breakfast were shot glass size. Pretty sure there is mold in the bathrooms.

Awful place to stay. We decided to book a hotel on a whim for a mini getaway for our family. From the photos, the hotel looked nice. Upon our arrive our room key wouldn’t open the door. We brought this to the staffs attention who spent 5 minutes “trying to fix it” then ultimately telling us that we would have to deal with it. So we couldn’t leave the room as a family for snacks or breakfast because it would lock on us with no way to get back in unless we had an attended. The room was disgusting. Had an awful smell and there was mold in several places, included the ceiling vent. When we pulled out the bed from the couch, without anyone being near it, a picture fell off the wall and broke. When we brought this to the staffs attention, they accused us of knocking it down and did not send anyone up to clean it up so we all had to sleep in the main bed as we had 2 kids we didn’t want stepping in glass. There were no extra blankets/pillows/sheets for the pull out bed and my husband had to run down to grab them from the front desk prior to the picture breaking. We will not be returning.

The room smells, it was unclean. There was hair in the beds, in the shower, clinging to the toilet and all over the floors. The carpet is stained and the door of the cabinet that houses the refrigerator fell completely off when opened we were instructed to place it on the closet it falls off all the time. The doors were unpainted and you could see the wood as well as the toilet seat. Most hotel stays feel like a home away from home instead the ENTIRE time my fiance and children dreaded staying there and could not hardly wait until check out time. We even had to go to Walmart to buy plug in's and lysol to get the order under control. Tbh I wanted to just waste my money and sleep in my car but I had to consider my kids. I would NEVER stay at this location or any other for that matter based on this experience and definitely wouldn't recommend it. The pictures are false advertising and I wish I had taken my own. Use shower shoes btw if you do decide to stay there. Only pleasant part of this hotel was the staff at check in and throughout. The cleaning lady was just flat out rude!

It was sufficient with few frills. The breakfast is better than some other places I’ve stayed but, whoa, the coffee was terrible. I couldn’t drink it. But the bed was comfy and my room had everything I needed. Thanks for a peaceful stay!

My room was not clean! The carpet is disgusting. I will not stay here again. The front desk was not helpful even after I showed them pictures of my room

Staff was nice. Rooms were nice had tv and wifi. Wasn't to far from any food or destination. Only thing I didn't like was the only entrance was on a loop access point

When my fiancé and I arrived at the hotel and into our room we didn’t notice anything, we unloaded and left. Upon returning later that night we realized the room was very very humid and had an odd smell. The vents were very dirty & there was a weird sticky stain on the bed. We ended up just sleeping on top of the blankets since it was late and didn’t want to bother the front desk. Other than that it was okay.

I enjoyed staying here. It was quiet, and the reception was friendly. The breakfast here is awesome, especially the waffle station. The only thing i can say that may be disappointing is the pool. It was not sparkling clear, it needed some upkeep for sure. But overall great stay.

The A/C in the room did not work. The coffee machine in the room did not work. Went down to the lobby to get coffee and they were out. I asked the front desk clerk if he could let them know there wasn't any coffee and as rude and sarcastic as possible he told me that they would get to it when they can. We travel to New Braunfels with a group of 7 friends. One of the couples did not even have towels in their room. When they asked the same front desk clerk for towels he responded as soon as they brought the others down he would give them fresh ones! The thing is they did NOT have any. As a group we travel to this area at least once a year to go to the river. We will NEVER stay here again.
